[Those communicators are such tricky things sometimes! Vash is visiting one of his favorite spots on the Iskaulit: the gardens. He can often be found here and today he's just feeling happy. No reason. It just happens sometimes.

Just like how communicators sometimes turn on. Like when they fall out of your pocket while you're sitting down. Enjoying the view. So the enjoy the view from the communicator as it looks up on a peaceful Vash who starts to sing softly. Not loud enough to bother anyone who may also be visiting the gardens, but loud enough for the communicator to pick up. It's a song that's also available from the media selection for anyone who's listened to it.

To Vash's credit. He's not a bad singer.]

Soooo. On the first celestial evening a pebble. From somewhere out of nowhere drops upon the dreaming world. Soooo. On the second celestial evening. All the children of their pebbles joined hands and composed a waltz.

I have a harmonica. Although I more play with it than say... play it if you get what I mean.

[ Maglor chuckles softly ] I do not know what a harmonica is, but I understand your meaning. Is there another instrument you fancy, perhaps?

[goldenglasses]

Honestly, I've never given playing an instrument much thought. Back home I tended to travel light. [Never knew when you might get chased out of town and would have to leave your stuff behind and instruments are expensive to replace!]

I only have the harmonica because it was given to me.

[bythewaves]

As a wanderer myself that I know right well. [ Maglor nods ]

Well, if you have it, you could learn to play it, perhaps?

I suppose I could. I tend to just make random noises with it now and then, but I could probably find a book on how to play somewhere.

[bythewaves]

They might have a place you can learn, here. [ Maglor hums ] This place has so many things it truly would not surprise me. And if you do, I will beg for a concert!

[goldenglasses]

Hey now, I said I'd look into practicing. A concert I think is out of the question. I'm not exactly the concert type.

[bythewaves]

Ah, not even a small private one? [ Maglor laughs softly ] Well, we ought not look to far ahead, in any case. I do hope you do find something that suits.

[goldenglasses]

Heh, the only concerts I'd give are the ones you just saw. [Meaning you'd have to accidentally walk up on him.] That's probably small and private, right?

[bythewaves]

It is, indeed [ Maglor laughs softly ]

So I should seek you in the quiet corners, should I?

[goldenglasses]

I'd give it awhile before I'm any good at the harmonica, but yeah, you may hear me playing it now and then around here. It's a good place to people watch and enjoying watching the world go by.

[bythewaves]

It is. [ Maglor turns his eyes back towards their surrounds ]

A little smaller and more confined, but... it is a good place.

[goldenglasses]

Heh, yeah, compared to some of the planets we've been to and you're world I'm sure it's tiny, but I still love it. [Mostly as it's so much more than he'd have at home.]

[bythewaves]

I miss the sky. [ Maglor agrees wistfully ]

But the stars sing clearly, up here. It is enough.

[goldenglasses]

And there are plenty of stars up here.

[bythewaves]

Even so! It is not so bad, really, this life. I have had worse captivities.

[goldenglasses]

[Vash thinks back at his time spent in different jails back home and since joining the fleet.]

Hahaha, I haven't spent much time as a captive before. But, I can imagine having mostly free run of space can't be a very bad captivity.

[bythewaves]

Myself as well, for which I am greatful. And there is no torture here, which is nice.

[goldenglasses]

Oh man, I don't even want to think about how different this place would be if there was torture.

[bythewaves]

Aye, nor I. The glitches are... inconvienient. But I would rather them than the alternative.

[goldenglasses]

And yeah, I mean, sometimes they're dangerous and people get hurt but I'd rather them for the time being instead of every day torture.

[For the time being. He assumes they can always get worse.]

[bythewaves]

Agreed. Memory loss and regression to childhood seem but minor inconviences, really. What other things have you seen? [ So he can be as prepared as well as possible. ]

Hmm. [Vash taps his chin.] I've seen some people turn into animals before.

[bythewaves]

Animals! That must have be strange in the extreme. No one was hurt?

[goldenglasses]

Not that I've heard of so far. I didn't know anyone it happened to personally, just heard about it.
