I think it might be time for me to ask for a little bit of advice.

I've been here a while, now, and I'm normally very good at not missing people. I used to give people tips on how to feel better about it, and it used to work for me, too, back when I was in the Drabwurld and there was a war to focus on. I would go and look in the library, but I can't imagine there's much of a help section there - dreadful, honestly - so.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to cheer yourself up, I'd be glad to hear it.

(Also: I have potions for all the ships on the fleet, now. If you'd like a set for your Lab, please let me know and I can bring them over!)

I've found that just surrounding myself with the friends I do have here is a huge help. It doesn't bring the people I miss closer to me, but it makes me appreciate who I do have.

Otherwise, sometimes you just have to be sad.

I don't think I could ever forget what I have here. I'm incredibly lucky to have all the friends I do have.

I'm just concerned that if I let myself be sad then I won't be able to stop.

Why?

Personally? I've been building robot cats and giving them punny names based on the friends I've been missing. I'm learning something new, it's keeping me busy, and it gives me something of them to hold onto ... in a matter of speaking.

Dancing. The louder the music, the better.

Try steering into it. Sometimes it's easier to face it than push it away. Think about them. Talk about them. Talk to them if it helps. Have a reminder. I think it helps some with my parents. But it's probably always going to suck too. [And sometimes there are just too many people to miss.]

I'll just spend all my time thinking about the people I've left behind and all the things I still need to do. It's hard to drag yourself out of that - I've been there before.

Do you think I'd be able to see your robot cats?

I assume you don't mean ballroom.

Oh hell no. The wilder the better.

I do understand. I lost everything, once, and loss never really gets easier. But for me, thinking about all the things I still need to and CAN do motivates me to keep going. Maybe I couldn't save everyone, but if I can help just one more person, it means everything to them.

None of them are here for me to talk to, not anymore, but I could talk about them. I'm quite sure the stories I could tell would be unbelievable.

I don't think anyone can tell you how to cope.

That's how I felt, as Marchioness. It never felt like enough, not really, but when I was able to help one person, or stop a family from suffering, or learn something that could do some good... It made everything else worthwhile.

[Seeing Hermione's post, Caster can honestly relate. She's been gone from her home in Japan for so long, she does miss it sometimes. But still, their situations aren't exactly the same, and she wants to cheer up Hermione, so just making it about her is right out. What can she do to cheer her up?

She ends up making a few stops, hiding what she grabbed in a paper bag, before knocking on Hermione's door. Normally she'd just barge in, but the loss of her spiritual form is just causing her all sorts of problems.]

[ Hermione is settled in her bed, curled up with a book and her cat, when she hears the knock. She's a little curious about the fact that Tamamo didn't just walk in, she actually knocked, and it's enough to have her put her book to one side as she sits up, curious.

Oh! I was one of the five leaders of a Citadel in the Drabwurld and helped run things and organise the army. It was one of my titles.

Well, that's your fault for trying to picture something that makes sense. I meant just talking as if they are there. Or writing a letter they won't actually get. [She knows how it sounds, but it helped get some closure with her former husband she'll probably never see again.]

Unbelievable is the norm here, isn't it?

Whichever one is easier for you! I've always had a soft spot for cats - I have mine with me now, actually.

I can think of a few people that fit that description, which ought to be a little frightening.
