I think it might be time for me to ask for a little bit of advice.

I've been here a while, now, and I'm normally very good at not missing people. I used to give people tips on how to feel better about it, and it used to work for me, too, back when I was in the Drabwurld and there was a war to focus on. I would go and look in the library, but I can't imagine there's much of a help section there - dreadful, honestly - so.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to cheer yourself up, I'd be glad to hear it.

(Also: I have potions for all the ships on the fleet, now. If you'd like a set for your Lab, please let me know and I can bring them over!)

[Seeing Hermione's post, Caster can honestly relate. She's been gone from her home in Japan for so long, she does miss it sometimes. But still, their situations aren't exactly the same, and she wants to cheer up Hermione, so just making it about her is right out. What can she do to cheer her up?

She ends up making a few stops, hiding what she grabbed in a paper bag, before knocking on Hermione's door. Normally she'd just barge in, but the loss of her spiritual form is just causing her all sorts of problems.]

Knock, knock! Hello, it's your beautiful Tamamo with a delivery of love just for you!

[... She's still a weirdo even when she is trying to help, okay.]

[ Hermione is settled in her bed, curled up with a book and her cat, when she hears the knock. She's a little curious about the fact that Tamamo didn't just walk in, she actually knocked, and it's enough to have her put her book to one side as she sits up, curious.

... Tentatively curious. ]

Come on in, Tamamo. It's not locked.

[Tentative is the best kind of curious to be with her, honestly.

She enters, carrying that paper sack. It looks rather heavy, whatever it is...]

[ She's curious, eyeing the back with a touch of nerves before she shifts to make room, Crookshanks hopping up into her arms. ]

[she sits down happily, totally ignoring the cat.]

Well, yes, but doesn't it sound better to say I responded to your prayers? Very goddess-like, right?

Anyway, I brought you a present!

[she holds out the bag, and inside are a bunch of books.]

Very much like a goddess, you're right.

[ Crookshanks makes a soft noise of protest, but Hermione just sits up to take the bag, her eyes widening. ]

Tamamo, where did you find books?

Heheh... Well, let's let that be a secret for now! You can call it a miracle from the power of love!

[The books range in topic from science to legends, and there's definitely one on Shinto legends, and another on Celtic heroes.

It's possible she made them with magic, or she's been storming them from the various planets they've visited... Or she just stole them from the Iskaulit library. It is a mystery.]

[ Looking through them, Hermione strokes the spines and feels a rush of warmth and tenderness that she can't swallow back. Turning, she leans up and presses a soft kiss on Tamamo's cheek. ]

[... Oh god. Oh God she was not prepared for this. Her face immediately turns red, and she just. Goes very still for a moment.

A- Ah- It- It was no trouble at all! It was a simple matter, I am simply happy to have been of help! Anything for my Ma- Ah, Partner, after all!

[... While she's having her moment, though, her tail is wagging.]

[ Hermione just blinks before - oh, yes. She turns her gaze away for a moment, focussing on the books, to give her Servant a moment to catch up and calm down. ]

I really appreciate it. You have no idea how much help a good book is.

[ She sees that tail, and it makes her smile. ]

[She recovers her composure quickly enough, at least, just going back to her normal silly grin, but there is still some pink to her cheeks. Why is giving up so hard? Why are crushes so terrible? Why is this her life.]

I have some idea! There are some favorites from my time that endured, that I've been looking for... I quite enjoyed the zuihitsu genre back then, though it seems to have faded out in modern times.

Maybe you could tell me more about the zuihitsu, then?

Hm... Well, of those which survived, have you heard the name Sei Shonagon? The Pillow Book?

I don't think I've ever heard of anything like that before. Tell me about it?

Hm... Well, then! The zuihitsu genre isn't really a kind of story, but rather a bunch of writings and observations from the author's own life. Each passage tends to be short, and they're not really connected, but the way they are written offers great insight into the author's mind and life...

"In life there are two things which are dependable. The pleasures of the flesh and the pleasures of literature." Things like that!

That's quite fascinating. It sounds like a sort of guide to life that people might enjoy reading, with proverbs.
