I think it might be time for me to ask for a little bit of advice.

I've been here a while, now, and I'm normally very good at not missing people. I used to give people tips on how to feel better about it, and it used to work for me, too, back when I was in the Drabwurld and there was a war to focus on. I would go and look in the library, but I can't imagine there's much of a help section there - dreadful, honestly - so.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to cheer yourself up, I'd be glad to hear it.

(Also: I have potions for all the ships on the fleet, now. If you'd like a set for your Lab, please let me know and I can bring them over!)

I've found that just surrounding myself with the friends I do have here is a huge help. It doesn't bring the people I miss closer to me, but it makes me appreciate who I do have.

Otherwise, sometimes you just have to be sad.

I don't think I could ever forget what I have here. I'm incredibly lucky to have all the friends I do have.

I'm just concerned that if I let myself be sad then I won't be able to stop.

Personally? I've been building robot cats and giving them punny names based on the friends I've been missing. I'm learning something new, it's keeping me busy, and it gives me something of them to hold onto ... in a matter of speaking.

Try steering into it. Sometimes it's easier to face it than push it away. Think about them. Talk about them. Talk to them if it helps. Have a reminder. I think it helps some with my parents. But it's probably always going to suck too. [And sometimes there are just too many people to miss.]

[Seeing Hermione's post, Caster can honestly relate. She's been gone from her home in Japan for so long, she does miss it sometimes. But still, their situations aren't exactly the same, and she wants to cheer up Hermione, so just making it about her is right out. What can she do to cheer her up?

She ends up making a few stops, hiding what she grabbed in a paper bag, before knocking on Hermione's door. Normally she'd just barge in, but the loss of her spiritual form is just causing her all sorts of problems.]

[ Hermione is settled in her bed, curled up with a book and her cat, when she hears the knock. She's a little curious about the fact that Tamamo didn't just walk in, she actually knocked, and it's enough to have her put her book to one side as she sits up, curious.

Well... I usually hang out with friends when I'm feeling down? Do you want to talk about it? I know we're not like great friends but you're a good person, you know? Tea does sound amazing. I keep making it while I'm brewing and leaving it to go cold - and I know I can heat it up with magic but it's not really the same.

Crookshanks hasn't left me alone all day. I think they're far smarter than anyone gives them credit for, and that's before we think about his half-kneazle nature. Do you think he would mind?

[It's quite a bit after her message on the network, one Wolfe missed as he was working at the time and didn't actually have a chance to look at his communicator until after his shift ended. Or, really, he didn't actually check it until after he'd gotten home and Anders had unceremoniously thrust Pounce into his arms and told him he needed to head over to see Hermione. After a short explanation, he heads straight to the Vanquish and to her door with the lanky orange tabby draped over his shoulders.

[ She's a little startled by the knock on her door, but she pushes herself up without much hesitation, shifting to nudge Crookshanks off her lap and go to answer it. If it was someone she didn't wan tot see he'd have warned her, somehow, and for now she's happy to unlock it - and brighten a little when she sees Hawke. ]
