I think it might be time for me to ask for a little bit of advice.

I've been here a while, now, and I'm normally very good at not missing people. I used to give people tips on how to feel better about it, and it used to work for me, too, back when I was in the Drabwurld and there was a war to focus on. I would go and look in the library, but I can't imagine there's much of a help section there - dreadful, honestly - so.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to cheer yourself up, I'd be glad to hear it.

(Also: I have potions for all the ships on the fleet, now. If you'd like a set for your Lab, please let me know and I can bring them over!)

I've never really been the type for bad habits.

probably means you're due. everybody's gotta have at least one really good vice

I suppose that depends on what you consider a vice...

Not something ridiculous and clever-cute like 'oh my vice is just working too hard' or some shit a bad habit. something to regret when you're older but enjoy right now. smoking's a popular one. hard to do here though unless you stock up at every port

Your parents aren't here. and if you ever go home, poof, no memories of smokin' i think that's how it works anyway. drinking is hard to pull off too without a lot of planning. personally i'm a fan of pot, but I put a lot of work into it hmmmmmm casual sex is cheap and easy and there's always takers

My parents were dentists. They'd know.

It's been a long time since I drank anything, and even then it was quite weak wine that my friend made for me. I don't really want to smoke, honestly.

Maybe it might seem appealing to other people it doesn't appeal to me, at all. Those things just don't seem to hold all that much appeal, even as a distraction.

no offense but that's an awful way to think about it new things make you uncomfortable. they're supposed to make you uncomfortable. it lets us figure out what we like and what we don't like? it's natural. but you shouldn't let it keep you from trying new things
