I think it might be time for me to ask for a little bit of advice.

I've been here a while, now, and I'm normally very good at not missing people. I used to give people tips on how to feel better about it, and it used to work for me, too, back when I was in the Drabwurld and there was a war to focus on. I would go and look in the library, but I can't imagine there's much of a help section there - dreadful, honestly - so.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to cheer yourself up, I'd be glad to hear it.

(Also: I have potions for all the ships on the fleet, now. If you'd like a set for your Lab, please let me know and I can bring them over!)

[As he promised, he's right outside her lab door in fifteen minutes. The extra time was necessary to gather not only a tupperware container with extra baklava but also a small bag of looseleaf tea (enough for more than a few cups).

He knocks on her door, primarily to announce his presence as he steps inside.]

Just like I promised: one extra batch of baklava.

[ Hermione had been sitting at her desk, organising and labelling potions, when she hears the knock. Pushing herself up, she moves to one side and peeks her head around the door before she brightens. ]

Hi! Welcome.

Thanks for having me over. [He holds out the containers for her.]

So uh, I brought baklava - made from scratch, my family's from Jordan - and my usual blend of tea. Earl Grey with what I think is Ceylon? I might've also bought out an entire store, back when we were on Solerius.

I don't blame you. I think I would've had my own personal library if I could've carried it.

[ Softening, she moves to start putting potions in a little carrier for him. ]

It's been a long time since I had some decent tea.

You and me both. My ex-girlfriend did this neat thing with magic, where uh, my stash kept refilling itself for a while?

[He doesn't know the details, because he's a Muggle with no sense of how magic works, but his wistful expression speaks for itself.]

It did the trick, but nothing beats this. [He pauses,] Should I get a kettle?

That's incredible. I can duplicate things, but making things come by themselves is a little different.

[ She doesn't comment on the 'ex' but, just keeps going. ]

A kettle - um, one second, I should have one somewhere in here...

[ Why wouldn't she have one in her lab. ]

I can imagine. Doesn't sound like magic works the same in every world.

[Of course she would have one. Stefan stifles a laugh, because honestly, he's the exact same way. Extra kettles are a necessity for a tea addict like him.]

Can I help you look?

That would make it easy, wouldn't it?

[ Shifting, she frowns before she turns back, waving a hand. ]

No, it's fine, I've got it - Accio kettle and cups.

[ And they come flying over to her out of a cupboard to the side. ]

[He flinches, not so much at the display of magic as that weird, irrational fear that they would hit him.]

Whoa. [Even now, he can't help a small, amazed huff.] That's gotta save you a ton of time.

[ Hermione just gives an apologetic smile, going to fill it up. ]

There are some perks to being a witch.

So I've noticed. Can't say I've particularly lucked out with my powers, unless you count the uh, not needing to sleep thing.

[At this point, his vampirism's an open secret, considering how badly he's been hiding it as of late...]

I think I can empathise a little.

[ There's not much difference between not needing to sleep and literally being cursed to be unable to sleep, right? Right.

Ah, no - just powdered milk or creamer or whatever's fine if you have it.

[His sweets usually balance it out for him. He'll go ahead and open the container now, careful to grab some napkins from his bag too.]

[ She fixes their drinks before she goes over, passing Stefan's mug to him with a smile. ]

[Victory!! Stefan's eyes light up like a fireworks display as he accepts the mug.]

Ah, thank you. I know that's not always easy to find.

[He'll make a mental note to bring some of that later too, just because he can.]

I try my best to stock up, and I can duplicate things as long as I have the actual thing first. I helped Erik get flour, too, so I'm working my way through the food groups.

[ It keeps her busy. ]

Give it a little time, and I'm sure you'll master them too.

[He's practically beaming now - powdered milk would come in handy, not just for tea but also baked goods.]

As much as I try, it gets hard to predict how much of something I'll actually need.

There are always rainy days and it's frustrating.
