[His cloak is missing, that's the first thing he notices. And it annoys him, that was a good cloak, very comfortable, very warm. The next thing he remember is that he had just killed the Guardian, which makes him roll onto the floor in a panic (knocking the communicator down and on) and try to find a mirror to double check his eyes.

Once he's reassured that there's no green glow lingering, he heaves a sigh of relief. And turns his focus to the communicator. Which... he knows how it works? And picks it up.]

I can't be here. I have things to do, people depending on me! [Kind of.] There's a war and-

I need to get back to my friends! They need me!

[He wanders because of course he does. Khadgar has found himself in a strange place, subject to the whims of whoever or whatever was responsible for his and everyone else being there. He wanted to know whatever he can, carefully keeping a couple spells at the edge of his thoughts in case someone tries to attack him.

Eventually he stops to take in the view of the stars, somehow looking much younger than he really is as he looks out. And suddenly feeling very small.]

I hope you find one. You are not the only one here who is trying, youngling. Do not think yourself alone. There are folk from many worlds and many walks of life here, past, future, different times and different places. Most are just as eager to return as you, and some have probably tried things already - I would suggest asking around.

Even if I was, I'd still look for a way. There is one, it's simple logic. If there's a way here, there's a way back.

On average, it is two to five days before the Marsiva releases you - and then you will have the run of the fleet, as do the rest of us, except to return there. So I would use your time onboard wisely.

Then I'll take advantage of what time I've got here, find a notebook, notes everything I find, explore what I can. [Maybe he can recruit Garrett...] Everything can be a clue.

That is more like it. You will not find much, I think - from memory the Marsiva is fairly bare, but different eyes might uncover things that others have not.

I won't give up. Just because something isn't obvious doesn't mean it isn't there.

You do not know how much time you have, on the Marisva - look quickly! [ Maglor warns ] And if you take notes, keep them on your person, for only that comes with you when you leave.

I don't usually leave my important possessions somewhere that I don't know they're safe.

Even more important here. Although your rooms off the Marsiva are relatively safe, I still would not leave valuables around.

I'm a bit of a wanderer, honestly. I don't have much so I never leave my things behind.

You and I have something in common, then. I fear your restlessness will have to be appeased differently, here. But at least the fleet is moving constantly.

Mm. I can hear them Sing very clearly, up here. They are almost... too loud. I try not to listen all the time.

It has been this way for as long as I can remember - a gift both blessing, and rarely, curse. This is the closest I have been to the stars, however, normally their song is quite muted.

Cotton in your ears or something doesn't help?

I wish it did! But tis not the sort of thing I 'hear' with my ears, as such. I do not think anything but death could truly silence it.

[ And even then, he has SINCERE DOUBTS, considering what he knows about their afterlife. He is halfway convinced it will get *louder* ]

I think the only solution would be to change my very nature. Thank you for the thought, but I do not mind, truly. It is a part of who I am, and only rarely a curse.

That's no way to live though, having the stars so... deafening loud, I guess, all the time.

Only if I pay attention to them. It was hard when I first came here, but it was merely a matter of learning to filter them again properly. And their song is so beautiful...
