... It's not very hard to peer over shorties, but you get the idea.]
I know a little. But uh... It's hard to keep track when it comes to endless space.

[Because if anything sings out that the Fleet isn't exactly what it says on the tin, it's mysteriously reformatting rooms at the blink of an eye that nobody notices :| sound familiar?]

Maybe we should be careful about keeping important documents in rooms like the kitchen.
no subject
...hey, you know computers, right? More than your average pirate, anyway.

He straightens up, looking very interested and, funnily enough, confident.]
I know a thing or two, yeah. What about them?

It just occurs to me that might be a good place to keep this kind of record, right? I mean-- I don't trust the Atroma not to mess with things as they see fit, but they're obviously not restricted to their own systems anyway. Medical records, things like that.
no subject
He looks completely into the idea of keeping records.]
Yeah, totally. Agreed. You want me to start transferring them into digital files?
I can get copies for the library, too. On the Iskaulit.
no subject
But-- yeah. I mean, some stuff is obviously already in system, but it'll stop us losing a batch of notes in ridiculous circumstances.
no subject
[He shrugs, pleased.]
Besides, this place is nothing but ridiculous circumstances.

Your sort-of dad?
no subject
Bobby. He's... He kind of helped raise us a little. I mean, not exactly.
We'd get dropped off there sometimes, when my Dad had a hunt nearby. He's a hunter, too, but with more of a permanent residence. After my father passed, he was the only real family we had.
[It's spoken quite simply, but. Bobby is basically Bellemere, to a more mild degree.]
He unfortunately passed, um. A few years back. Usual-on-the-job dangers.

I'm sorry. [But it's a soft commiseration; the death was years ago, and she doesn't really want to drag up yet another trauma; let Sam keep his lighter mood if it's possible.] I'm glad he was there, though. Family's important no matter where they come from, right?
no subject
[It really is, though. It's been... okay.]
I've gotten to hear from him after he died. You know how weird my life is.
You would've liked him, though. He was kind of crabby, but he was smart. He got crap done with things went sideways; built himself a panic room in case of demonic emergency and everything. Called me and Dean an idiot a lot.
no subject
Ah. Yeah, definitely my kind of guy. He have a shotgun as well?
no subject
[He grins.]

He was creative about it.

If he ever shows up here, you'll have to introduce us.
[Because apparently the rules of death don't apply here.]
