I agree. The problem is we're kind of going into this blind. It's a fleet and I don't know what their tactics might be. [Not to mention there might not be a this at all. For all she knows, it's just a passing fleet and Crowley is being paranoid.] So it's hard to work out what exactly to prepare for.
[...that being said.] If we were attacked, we're not going to get to the bottom of why unless we actually talk to them face to face. So yeah. We do our best to keep the ship safe, but see if we can take the fight to them personally.

Has anyone tried sending communications?

Not that I'm aware of. [Which is frustrating. The Fleet doesn't act like a fleet, but up until today she hadn't seen the need either. There's no communication, and getting on the network to demand it is gonna net her very little, given past history.]
Sam hasn't, anyway. [Given he's our comms officer now. She asked him.] He's not sure it's a good idea. But from past history with this group, they've never answered hails anyway.

She goes quiet, chewing on this information. She's used to making snap decisions on the field of battle, and commanding people under her. But this is a naval (sort of) battle, which she is not used to at all, and she isn't sure about trying to command the fleet as a military.]
We must attempt peaceful contact, at least, before we turn to combat.
If it is likely to turn to combat, we should gather information on each combat-capable member of the fleet, and who has utility we are able to use. Someone capable of teleportation would make boarding easier, or someone capable of surviving outside the ships.

psych I answered this one first]Well, we can teleport if it comes to that. We've got a communications officer, he can beam us anywhere we need to go. {She makes a frustrated sound.] The problem is nobody else seems to be taking this very seriously, so I wonder if I really am just being paranoid.
I'll reach out to the other captains and see what they think. If we actually see them come after us, we should have enough warning we can try hailing them. By that point, it obviously won't matter if we're singling ourselves out.
[Nami's in the same boat. She knows naval combat. This widely engaged, it's something a little too vast that doesn't fit into any experience she has.]
