At the risk for earning a reputation as a party planner, I have a thing for everyone to attend again. Don't worry, lots of other people are helping pull it together. It's going to be on New Year's Eve, but the real event is the countdown to Winn's birthday which is also on the first. It's going to be in a club we rented out for this in the red shift district. Starts around seven-ish. Ends when you pass out?

It's kind of a surprise maybe? At least the part where it's for his birthday. And if you don't know Winn but you still want to come that's fine too. You can trade a gift for Winn for a free drink at the bar. Otherwise, bring some money. Cake's on us though.

[Birthday/New Year's Party]
[The space is well decorated and so glittered you can probably tell Wrath was part of the team putting this together. Lots of Winn's friends came out to help whether it was getting decorations up, managing food, music, or chipping in to buy out the space and a drink for anyone bringing a gift. Not to mention drinks for the birthday boy all night.

There's a table for presents and another one with a spread of openly available food though the bar has appetizers you can buy too. There's a big cake at one end because of course there is and some punch that didn't start the night spiked at least. There's space for dancing and a karaoke machine set up on a small raised platform for those who want to try their hand at entertainment.

The night really kicks off when Winn walks in and instead of a balloon drop there's a fluffy blue stuffed bear drop. Feel free to take one of those home. There are a lot.

When midnight comes closer some people will file out to one of the observation areas to get a good view of the nebula for the big countdown. Bring your own person to kiss!

Yes, unfortunately there's a very strict rule about it only happening once. I have to turn down everything else you might ask on principle.

[She smirks, though, and reaches forward to take his hand.]

You know, even a genie gives out 3 wishes.

[ he's gonna spin her onto the dance floor :D ]

Last time I checked, this wasn't Aladdin.

[She lets herself be spun, swaying softly to the music.]

[winn]

Hey, you never know, next planet could be Agrabah.

[ he's even going to dance like a normal person and not embarrass her! ]

[robitussin]

Ugh, don't even say that, I'll never be able to get the sand out of my clothes if that happens.

[They are both doing their best at trying to dance normally, go them. Despite her attitude about it, she's actually not awful, even if she seems a little tense.]

[winn]

I'll do your laundry for some change.

[ look this hotel and the holiday season are bleeding him dry. he doesn't mind the tension, though he's keeping an eye out for signs of actual discomfort because he definitely doesn't want her to do something she doesn't want to. he does, however, try to loosen her up by occasionally spinning her or making funny faces. ]

Nope, I'm an adult.

[it's not much different than how she's normally tense, it's just a bit more easy to notice when she's dancing like this, at least. she does laugh at least one of the times he spins her, despite herself.]

Really, what's that like?

[ he grins ]

Exactly like it was last year. I was expecting some arbitrary new responsibilities, but I guess I escaped them in space.

[winn]

We can think some up for you, wouldn't want you to miss out. How about, smiling officer?

[robitussin]

I feel like I am uniquely unqualified for anything to do with smiling.

[winn]

Not with that attitude - how about a little confidence!

[robitussin]

I am confident that my previous statement is true.

[winn]

As someone's who's seen you smile - your confidence is misplaced.

[robitussin]

You're going to make my ego swell, and my head might explode. Medical condition, very serious.

[winn]

It's okay, I know a bunch of doctors.

[robitussin]

You know doctors who can cure head explosions? Impressive.

[winn]

Space, multiverse. Somewhere out there, there's probably a cure to everything.

[robitussin]

If you want to un-explode matter, I feel like you should be looking for a physicist, not a doctor.

[winn]

I think you'd want both, if that matter is human.

[robitussin]

[A pause.]

Maybe we shouldn't talk about exploding human matter while we're dancing.

[winn]

Yeah, you're right.

[ he nods ]

Sorry. So, how's work?

[robitussin]

Well, I get paid and I get to play the piano constantly, two things which are never going to be bad to me ever, so it's going alright.

How about yours? How's your squirrel... thing?

[winn]

Pretty good. [ he nods ] There's this one dog I have to start prying off me at least half an hour before my shift's done if I wanna leave on time, but it's kinda cute so. [ shrug ]

Is that the one you were telling me about that sits on your head?
