At the risk for earning a reputation as a party planner, I have a thing for everyone to attend again. Don't worry, lots of other people are helping pull it together. It's going to be on New Year's Eve, but the real event is the countdown to Winn's birthday which is also on the first. It's going to be in a club we rented out for this in the red shift district. Starts around seven-ish. Ends when you pass out?

It's kind of a surprise maybe? At least the part where it's for his birthday. And if you don't know Winn but you still want to come that's fine too. You can trade a gift for Winn for a free drink at the bar. Otherwise, bring some money. Cake's on us though.

[Birthday/New Year's Party]
[The space is well decorated and so glittered you can probably tell Wrath was part of the team putting this together. Lots of Winn's friends came out to help whether it was getting decorations up, managing food, music, or chipping in to buy out the space and a drink for anyone bringing a gift. Not to mention drinks for the birthday boy all night.

There's a table for presents and another one with a spread of openly available food though the bar has appetizers you can buy too. There's a big cake at one end because of course there is and some punch that didn't start the night spiked at least. There's space for dancing and a karaoke machine set up on a small raised platform for those who want to try their hand at entertainment.

The night really kicks off when Winn walks in and instead of a balloon drop there's a fluffy blue stuffed bear drop. Feel free to take one of those home. There are a lot.

When midnight comes closer some people will file out to one of the observation areas to get a good view of the nebula for the big countdown. Bring your own person to kiss!

[He finally takes a moment to glance down at the notebook, nebula and all - and his expression softens considerably as he holds onto it tighter.]

Yeah, well, being abducted isn't for everyone anyway. [Though she'd love to see more of her team here. There world only takes. This place is an improvement such as it is.]

How'd I know what? Your unabashed love of nebulas?

No, uh - the notebook thing.

[He grins, holding it a little closer to him.]

I like nebulae too, mind you, but you can't go wrong with something to write in.

Ah. Well, that is just a lucky accident. [It's entirely possible that back in Marina, Damon or Elena mentioned something and she'd forgotten the conversation but the idea stuck around somewhere in her mind. Brains are funny that way.]

It's something I think to give when I'm not sure what the person has or needs or wants, but they seem thoughtful like there's a lot going on in there that probably needs a chance to get out.

[She smiles softly. It was the first gift she gave Vision while he was here too. There are a couple other people getting one this holiday.]

Also generally a safe bet. Journals are more than just thought storage - they've got to-do lists, calendars, maybe daily planners if you're that kind of person.

[Sometimes, he really misses Caroline Forbes and her incessant need to plan every single party in existence.]

Drawings. Treasure maps. Inspirational quotes. [She smiles. Try not to fall in love with Kitty just because she's on her third party. This is all Winn's fault, really. And her planning is the loosest.]

Sure. And just to be clear it's a kind of birthday. I was born on August 15. It's just that the days that have passed since my first abduction don't actually line me being alive another year up on August 15th anymore. I'm pretty sure Winn was hoping I'd just consider myself a year older then, but no luck.

One, I can't say I missed timeline discrepancies, and two, you really should've known better with Winn.

[He stifles a laugh, pulling the notebook even closer to him.]

I should let you get back to the party, though.

I always should with him. And yes, go mingle, but remember you are a part of the party so this right here is me in the party. You didn't take me away from anything.

Technically yes, but you also put a lot of work into this. The least you could do is enjoy it.

[Rather than talking up a storm with him, he means. Stefan doesn't quite have a free hand right now, or he'd grab a bottle of water on his way back towards Misty.

He'd pull her back towards the crowd too, but well- he'll let her have a moment if she needs it.]
