At the risk for earning a reputation as a party planner, I have a thing for everyone to attend again. Don't worry, lots of other people are helping pull it together. It's going to be on New Year's Eve, but the real event is the countdown to Winn's birthday which is also on the first. It's going to be in a club we rented out for this in the red shift district. Starts around seven-ish. Ends when you pass out?

It's kind of a surprise maybe? At least the part where it's for his birthday. And if you don't know Winn but you still want to come that's fine too. You can trade a gift for Winn for a free drink at the bar. Otherwise, bring some money. Cake's on us though.

[Birthday/New Year's Party]
[The space is well decorated and so glittered you can probably tell Wrath was part of the team putting this together. Lots of Winn's friends came out to help whether it was getting decorations up, managing food, music, or chipping in to buy out the space and a drink for anyone bringing a gift. Not to mention drinks for the birthday boy all night.

There's a table for presents and another one with a spread of openly available food though the bar has appetizers you can buy too. There's a big cake at one end because of course there is and some punch that didn't start the night spiked at least. There's space for dancing and a karaoke machine set up on a small raised platform for those who want to try their hand at entertainment.

The night really kicks off when Winn walks in and instead of a balloon drop there's a fluffy blue stuffed bear drop. Feel free to take one of those home. There are a lot.

When midnight comes closer some people will file out to one of the observation areas to get a good view of the nebula for the big countdown. Bring your own person to kiss!

[If she's not disappointed, she may well be completely mortified. Leading the way to the dance floor and absolutely striking a Saturday Night Fever pose.]

[Natasha is not easily shamed, but when he pulls that one, she does cover her face with her hand a moment.]

I hope you're going to commit to that, because now you've started.

I've just got to embrace who I am, you know?

[But laughing and holding a hand out to her, and if she accepts it he is totally going to try and twirl her around for funsies.]

[She's come this far. Natasha isn't the sort to back out now. She takes his hand, and when he tries to twirl her, she spins lightly.]

Suppose I can't stand in the way of you being yourself.

Would you believe I've had no formal training in dance?

[Is that a hint of sarcasm? Yes, yes, it is.]

[At least he's laughing at his own absurdity?]

You tell me. [She lifts her chin, giving him a challenging look.]

Bare in mind, not all of us have your natural talents.

[He just kind of shrugs.]

I've been told on more than one occasion that talent is sometimes overrated.

[This seems like a moment to do the hand-jive!]

Somehow, no one's ever told me that—and FYI, ballet.

Yeah, see, that takes the kind of talent and dedication that I absolutely do not possess. I wouldn't even trust me to lift anyone safely, really.

Aren't you a doctor? Usally takes talent and dedication.

So it's decided! We're both talented and dedicated individuals who also excel in dance!

[His weird fist-pumping dance move says otherwise.]

If there's a talent show, we should absolutely enter as a dancing duo. I'm just saying.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. [Said with a laugh in her voice.] You're still in your audition for this show.

So I have competition? This could be good, actually! Create a little drama for the supposed masses that are watching our every move.

Tonight? I danced with Winn. And with Barnes. Neither of them were slouches.

[arfvader]

I'll just have to up my dance-game then!

[Natasha should run while she can.]

If you're asking whether we would benefit from practicing before trying the big jump-and-lift move, then the answer is... probably a hard yes.

[Because he would 100% drop her.]

I might have my suspicions that you're not quite ready for that yet.
