[Wanda makes a big show of faking like she's sorely disappointed. A heavy sigh and dejected look on her face.]

Well, I suppose if that's all you have...

I'm very sorry, please don't slay us on Yelp. Cola? Water? Tea? Coffee?

[ he is actually sorry, both because popcorn is awesome, and because he hates disappointing people. ]

[Wanda can't keep up the act. She snorts, giggles, and completely breaks character. She smiles gratefully at Winn.]

Tea would be perfect, thank you.

[She'll wait for him to return with snacks and drinks before pestering him with another question.]

I assume you already have a movie in mind?

Well - [ the tone of his voice and the glint in his eyes say she's totally right. he gives her her tea - the good kind, the real tea, the kind he keeps for guests. ] I was thinking ye olde network classic - Princess Bride. Have you seen it?

"Princess... Bride?" Never heard of it.

[It sounded a little too sappy to Wanda. In fact... was it a romance movie? Was that okay for Wanda to be watching with Kitty's boyfriend without her around? Naturally, Wanda's thoughts could possibly be inferred by the look on her face.]

Seriously? Okay we have to fix that, it's amazing - it's got action, magic, pirates, a giant, and some of cinema's most quoted lines! You're gonna love it, sit sit!

[ his way of addressing those concerns - mentioning everything around the romance. plus, it's the best movie they got by miles. a princess bride virgin! he hasn't watched it with one of those since fenris! he's excited!

[She quirks an eyebrow, and her warm grin returns.]

No quoting any lines though until after I've seen it once.

[She gives him the raised eyebrow, scolding him like a mother.]

My, but you clearly are a big fan. You better not be over selling though. I would hate for it to not match my expectations after you've raised them so high.

There are a lot of movies that can't hold up to expectations, even here where most of what we got are B movies that suck on purpose. This? Is not one of them.

A "B movie?" A movie about bees? Why would those be made to suck on purpose?

[She supposes it might be that bees are not the most interesting of subjects for a movie. Let alone apparently multiple movies. He had used the plural, hadn't he?]

[ he laughs, sorry wanda but that was pretty funny. ]

Bees are sometimes involved, but they're not strictly necessary. A B-movie's a low budget movie. A lot of them are just intentionally hilariously bad. They have terrible effects, often over and under acting, they're fun.

[She doesn't quite get what's so funny at first, but she does guess that it's not because the films are about bees after all.]

[However, as Winn explains, her smile returns a little and she blushes slightly in embarrassment.]

I guess I would have to see one to understand what you mean.

There's a whole collection in the movie theater, we could check them out next movie night. [ he pauses ] Actually, next movie night probably needs to be a Princess Bride rewatch...maybe the one after that.

[She shakes her head. Winn sounded as though he was getting a little ahead of himself here, but that did little to detract from the smile on Wanda's face. In truth, the idea of continued "movie nights" sounded rather nice. Maybe she could drag Pietro to the next one? She doubts he'd sit still long enough to get through an entire movie however; unless it was packed with action or lots of laughs, he was unlikely to want to stick around for a full viewing.]

You have more "expertise" on films on the network than I think anyone else I have met in the Fleet.

[Was that a compliment? It sounded like a compliment.]

[ getting ahead of himself is a way of life, here. he's never been so involved ever, but it's exciting, and it's fun, and he loves it, loves feeling like he has more than one real friend, like people aren't just tolerating him because kara likes him. ]

I have my priorities straight. [ he nods. he's absolutely taking it as a compliment! ]

[Wanda's smile turning more wry again.]

Well, if you are going to be responsible for choosing the film each time, I suppose it would only be fair that I provide the snacks to enjoy them with.

We wouldn't want to be unfair.

[ he couldn't care less about being unfair. ok, he could, but that's not what would stop him. ]

The quality of the movie you choose determines how good the snacks will be for the next one.

Considering the quality of movies available I'd call that the definition of unfair. Unless we're counting so bad it's good -
