I had hoped the reality would be different, but there's no denying it anymore.

For those who knew him and cared about him, or even if you didn't I suppose, Remy Lebeau has returned to home. I'm sorry to add to what seems like a stream of bad news.

If you come around the Tourist, though, one can find Kirk in the gym, working up a sweat, practicing self-defense or running. He wasn't one to drink when upset - he was one to work until there wasn't enough energy to think anymore. ]</sub>

_{[ Little do they know the practice will come in handy soon. For now, though, it's merely an outlet for emotions Kirk did not deal with well and never had. Personal loss, while not a stranger to him, was not something he had ever learned to properly work through beyond his usual coping mechanism of repression. By all standards, this was a step up with his usual coping process. ]}

_{[ So said, he lunged in, beginning to a rapid and very aggressive series of punching strikes at Fenris. ]}

[Fenris nods in reply, raising his arms in a defensive stance, allowing Kirk to get a few punches in (it might make him feel better) before leaning to duck and throw in a few jabs of his own. He's better with a sword, in all honesty, but if this helps Kirk in any way, he'll damn well do it. ]

<sub>[ He won't lie - it does. Hitting something more substantial than a sand bag just felt different, felt better. He hated that part of himself, for enjoying that in these moments of grief, but he couldn't help it. He lashed and struck at Fenris again and again, his motions controlled and tight for all that his face was flushed from anger and frustration.

Eventually he ran out of the energy, the will, to keep this up. Stepping back and sinking to the floor, trembling as exhaustion gnawed at his bones. ]</sub>

[Fenris kept the defensive, rather than the offensive up, allowing Kirk to get his...everything out of his system. When Kirk stops and goes to the floor, the elf crouches behind him, there's a touch of concern on his features, but he knows better than to coddle right now. ]

Enough I think I'll sleep tonight.

_{[ It was one of his bad habits - when he was upset, or just in general some weeks, he had a hard time sleeping at night. It was a reason for all his intense working out and his search for sexual relief. Both activities made it easier to sleep at night. As much as Remy's disappearance had upset him, he hardly expected to sleep more than a few hours if that, and not well. ]}
