[ goddammit atroma! winn lets jim work out in peace for a while before going in. he's not sure what to say, not sure how to comfort his friend because honestly...he doesn't have much experience with it, it's usually been the other way around for them. ]

[She'd noticed his name missing from the roster already—before Winn's party and largely held it in because she had a party to throw and a great guy to celebrate. It's what Remy would have wanted her to focus on probably. She was upset about it though. He was the last of the mutants who had been here when she arrived. They'd all been so welcoming to her even though they were from different worlds. She knows that Remy was never an X-Man, but in her mind he was.

She wasn't expecting the reminder to jar her thoughts back to him now, but the fact that it's Kirk doing it also leaves her thoughtful. Winn had said something about Remy and Kirk as a couple but she hadn't really believed it. Partially because he didn't seem completely confident in what he was saying and partially because she'd only known Remy—from her world—as the man in love with Rogue whose heart broke for her. Sure, he was with Lila later, but she was pretty sure he never got over the girl he couldn't touch.

But here is Kirk seeming different than usual.]

I hope home is good to him. [Hopes he becomes an X-Man maybe as if that's a recipe for a good life and not trouble.]

[Maggie can definitely appreciate the sense of loss he feels, but already she has questions. She hadn't even imagined it was remotely possible to go home. Even though she had Carl to think about and wanted to take care of her crewmates - despite her misgivings about being invested in them she still cared. Going home to Glenn was all she wanted.]

We don't. There have been some people who had have disappeared and come back from different points in time in their worlds, future points, and remembered being here. But without the knowledge of how the disappear and how they are taken or where they even went - no there is no proof.

I, however, like to think that we do return home, when we leave. Without proof either way, I choose to hope for the best rather than worst.

[Fenris is phenomenally bad at offering comfort to people. He may want to, but words are not his strong point here. He's never sure exactly what to say to ease people's worries. Most of the time, he just leaves them alone, to work through their grief alone. It's how he does it, after all.

Still. Kirk means a lot to him, so he'll seek out his captain. It doesn't take him long to find the man, and the elf moves to lean on the wall, watching him with folded arms. ]
