I had hoped the reality would be different, but there's no denying it anymore.

For those who knew him and cared about him, or even if you didn't I suppose, Remy Lebeau has returned to home. I'm sorry to add to what seems like a stream of bad news.

If you come around the Tourist, though, one can find Kirk in the gym, working up a sweat, practicing self-defense or running. He wasn't one to drink when upset - he was one to work until there wasn't enough energy to think anymore. ]}

He's a good man. [No past tense. She doesn't want to think he's dead. She doesn't really know what happens to people when they disappear, but she'll hope it's not that.] I didn't realize how close the two of you were.

He's easy to talk to.

_{[ He took her cue, and not because he thought he might be dead. He
didn't believe that. But the past tense felt so... final, somehow. The
present eased some of the ache. ]}

We just kind of get each other, you could say.

_{[ In many ways, but simply blurting out "I screwed Remy" is rather

Sure. I always felt the same about him and about the Remy I knew back home. Definitely not the same guy, but it was nice having him around.

I won't lie, the Tourist is going to feel a little lonelier now without him.

Guess I haven't gone phasing into your room unannounced in a long time. I've been missing out. [She's on the Tourist so much it's almost impressive they didn't run into each other there, but then she tends to keep to herself more on the Tourist because it's not her ship. She doesn't want his crew wanting her gone, making things hard for Winn.]

Probably a good thing. Might have seen more of Remy than you ever wanted.

_{[ It was a switch between the Tourist and Remy's ship, though easier
to have Remy come to the Tourist since Kirk was loathe to be away from it
for very long. Being captain and all. Plus he had the nicer room. ]}

[Her first thought is, "I can think of worse things," but she manages not to say it aloud to the guy missing him on an open channel Winn just might be hopping around, but Remy is not an unattractive man and their relationship was never overly familial. Not that she was looking for anything either!]

Probably. But we also missed out on all those double dates we could have had.

Naw, to many hearts would have been broken. It was for the best.

I'm guessing Winn is already on his way to get you drunk and sing songs or something, but anything I can do?

Just keep him from worrying to much. You know how he gets.
