[Since hearing of it from Beverly, Jeyne visited the gardens at least twice in a week. With her lessons in medicine increasing, it seemed a wise idea to test the various plants and determine what sort of use they might have. With small samples, she is able to experiment and test, all mainly with herself (as she wouldn't want to subject anyone else to this.) Some plants are recognizable or close to what she knew in her world. For the rest? It's a guessing game.

Her latest project is a sweet smelling salve. When not attempting to mix it with other plants, she rubs it gently on her wrists, smelling the aroma with a small smile.]

Blue Fish

[From one type of experimenting to another. With very few patients to treat, Jeyne has begun to occupy herself with different skills, determined to learn them and no longer be a wastrel. She practices her cooking when able, sometimes not burning the meal and slowly making something that looks nearly appetizing. She continues her lessons with Beverly in medicine, dutifully taking notes. When not with Beverly, she reads over all the information she compiled, committing it to memory and practicing in her head. There are times when she wanders to the cargo deck, toying with her bow (sans arrows), muttering to herself as she works at her aiming.

It's a bit difficult without a target or arrows, but she doesn't intend to injure anyone...even if it would help improve her medical training.]

[She smiled at the compliment, softening once more. Though neither of them spoke of her being a queen, which was her preference. She was the downfall of his kingdom, how could she call herself a 'queen?']

It's only my guilt. I dislike when we quarrel. [Which they never really did before.] There has been a great deal on my mind.

As do I sweetling. [How to get them to quarrel again? She already has ideas.] Such as? What troubles you my love?

[There was a way. There was a secret Jeyne carried, but could not yet speak of.

Even as she was asked what troubled her, she drew back and tried to concentrate on her bow.]

Merely thoughts of Westeros.

[Unluckily there are few better in the fleet at weeding out secrets than Gemini.

It was obvious that Jeyne was avoiding the question, so Robb moved closer, pushing back some stray hair from her face, his expression concerned.]

[She couldn't tell him. She had experienced his anger and they had shared their first fight. It only heightened the guilt and fear in her, the worry of someday losing him. If he knew the truth, he could turn away from her. He could come to hate her.]

[He stroked her cheek gently, silently encouraging her to talk, his voice soft. Once a wolf has the scent it doesn't let it go.]

I promise sweetling whatever it is it will be better if you tell me. Secrets fester in darkness, there shouldn't be any between us.

[She shook her head, clasping the hand that ran along her cheek. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't say it all and wouldn't. Not yet and not now. She could at least give a small glimpse of her mother's treachery.]

I was thinking of my mother. I know that when we were together in Westeros, you feared I was barren. It is possible for me to find out for certain, but...I'm afraid what it will mean if I am not barren.

[Now she's getting somewhere! Oh yes this is much better than she could have imagined. Part of her is laughing in vicious delight while another quieter voice sounds in sympathy in the back of her mind.

His hand is warm and familiar, and he ran a finger down to her chin, tilting it up to meet his gaze, the pain in his voice obvious as he pulls back slightly to look at her.]

Jeyne, my love, what are you saying?

Only that I am sometimes too naive. Let us leave it at that.

[She tugged on the bow again.]

We should have the peace of mind.

If your mother...

[His hand clenched tightly, suddenly angry as the implications sank in.]

She'd better not turn up here. I won't let anyone else hurt you ever again.

She won't.

[She felt somehow confident about that.]

She won't hurt me Robb. Not directly. As it is, it's better that we forget about her. I should rather we speak about happier subjects.

[It's a real pity she doesn't know what the mother looks like but never mind.]

I suppose, if that is what you wish then that's what we'll do. What would you discuss my lady? [He plucks up her hand and kisses it gallantly.]

We could begin with pleasantries. You haven't told me about your day.

Did you just finish with your patrol?

My day?

[He shrugged casually.] There's not much to tell, I haven't actually finished my patrol yet, I just wanted to see you.

[She burrowed against him, pressing her head over his heart.]

I'm sorry about last night and the past few days. Kitty is a kind person and was very understanding to me. I shouldn't have been jealous.

[He wrapped his arms around her in return, warm and comforting, heartbeat strong and steady, a good thing that detail hadn't been forgotten.]

No you shouldn't, you shamed me Jeyne but of course I forgive you and always will no matter the folly.

[She hadn't acted her best, but it was hardly deserving of such severe words. They had argued and made up, but this was the first that she ever heard him say anything of the sort.]

Jealousy is not...seemly sweetling, I said nothing about it before but seeing you act so...I did not believe you capable of it.

[He shook his head sadly.]

I did nothing unseemly, save for excuse myself to my room and seek time to think.

[She could feel her face grow heated as irritation swept over her.]

I know how to behave, Robb and I did as is expected of a lady.

Nonetheless I cannot forget the look upon your face.

[He sighed wearily, not meeting her gaze.]

But I have forgiven you, that is what matters.

How generous of you.

[She pulled back, wrapping her arms around her waist.]

This isn't my fault Jeyne!

[His tone's a little sharper now in reply.]

Robb, you made lewd comments to a woman while in your cups. Forgive me if it upsets me.

It was nothing! Yet you continue to make things of it. Fah! I've had enough of it!

[He threw a hand up in disgust, and stalked away, muttering something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like 'pig-headed']

[She stared after him with a mixture of horror and frustration. Throwing down her bow, she stormed off to her room once again.]
