I'll use the network. [ he has no idea how this is gonna go, he has no idea what he'll even say, and he doesn't know that his temper won't get the better of him again. staying out of striking distance feels like the way to go. ]

You are wise. [She gives him a supportive nuzzle.] And you know as far as apologizing goes, that's up to you. If you want to that's great and if you don't you don't have to do it for me. I wouldn't want that. Do what feels right for you. Same with being friends or anything like that. I don't expect it. I'm just hoping for a non-fighting, able to be in the same room thing which was probably what it was going to be anyway, but after talking to Jeyne I felt like I had to say something.

I dunno about the friend thing [ though if they become friends after a start like that, they'll have a damn strong foundation. ] but he deserves an apology, my temper was out of line. [ he needs to do it for himself, too. his father never took responsibility for his actions.

he's really not looking forward to talking to robb at all, but the thought of doing the right thing and the opposite of his dad does help. hopefully he meant it about being open. ]

[She kisses his cheek.] You're a good man, Winn Schott. The best. And you made me a hat. [That she somehow snuggled and nuzzled you with while wearing. SUSPENSION OF BELIEF!]

[ she just turned it around, how's that? ]

You needed the set.

[ he smiles because he knows that's what she's looking for, but he's really not feeling like the best right now. he's not even completely sold on good. it's been a trying evening for his self esteem. ]

[ that would've been easier to believe if it hadn't come right after a fight. ]

[Well.....maybe not immediately but it's not exactly normal to have to hug someone while fighting with them and reminding them you love them and won't leave. They still got there and it wasn't that long.]

If you were I think I'd like having you in my mind. I guess I already know I did. [Hand-holding planet and all.]

I like the talking. Makes it more impressive when I read your mind.

[ that and also he's not sure he could handle constantly feeling her insecurities as well as his own. ]

[All the time would be a lot, but if they could pick and choose when to do it then it would maybe just feel intimate.] I like the talking too. Even when it's hard it always gets good again with you.

[She tilts her head, looking at him thoughtfully.] Isn't it? I mean...is it good for you too now? [Or is he holding back to make sure she's okay?]

[ he'd be up for it when they're intimate.

and now what is he supposed to say? yes, I've completely forgotten how much it hurt? well, that's not believable. yes, I'm totally not still thinking about it, I don't at all feel like I can't express myself which is why I'm expressing myself! tone it down with the PAness.

I'll get there? I'm trying? it's more honest, but he doesn't want to send her spiraling back. he hates upsetting her, feels like the scum of the earth for causing her pain after everything she's already endured. ]

You're always good for me. [ it's true! not what she asked, but still true! he leans in for a kiss. ]

[As it is she gets some of those brackets in his meaning. At least in guessing correctly. She threads her fingers lightly through his hair and nods.] That's something.

Is there anything I could make better right now? [If it's anything like her she knows there will be an ache for awhile just from the turmoil of it all even if it landed in a better place. Like being emotionally sore after exertion. But if there is something they need to clear up she'd like to try.]

[ he shakes his head. ]

Some things just need a little time. I'm fine, really.

[ fine-ish, anyway. ]

[She nods and kisses his cheek, accepting that. Then she takes the hat off but only to tuck in against him more fully.] Thank you for loving me.

[ he tangles his fingers in her now exposed hair. ]

[She likes that with the hair. She doesn't want to stop him so she moves in for the close very slowly so as not to discourage hair touching.]
