[Have a redhead nun/rogue on your feed, fleeters. Someone took a bit of a nap this week and now has new memories? And also questions.]

I apologize if my absence was noticed by my crew or those I speak to in the Interfaith Center. It seems Atroma enjoys putting me to sleep for long periods of time - though the question is "How long?" I suppose. Should I expect any ill effects from repeated instances like these?

[Though she was a bit groggy waking up.]

It seems time passed much more quickly while I was asleep. It felt as if I had returned home again and time had passed there as it normally does here. Two years passed there while it feels as if no time has passed here at all.

It seems the Inquisitor saw fit to elect me as Divine in Justinia's place, since you and I last spoke.

Good morning, Sister.

[Wolfe smiles at her through the feed. He's curious to hear any news about how Thedas has progressed, even if it's technically not his and Anders' version, but so many things were left unresolved when they woke up here... It's impolite to just bombard her with questions though.]

I haven't heard anything about ill effects, but I haven't been through it myself. As for the amount of time, I haven't seen you since we talked about putting together a Wicked Grace night and that was about a month ago. I'm not sure if it's been that long since you fell asleep, though. Just since I saw you.

[She thought she had seen Leliana up and about, but she had just gotten finished getting showered so she hadn't been able to approach her. The network confirms it when she checks it over after getting dressed. Riona smiles, combing her fingers through her hair as she begins to walk out of her room. She stops, however, at the private message to her.

There's a long pause as she processes this bit of news.

Leliana, the Divine. Her best friend, once a lay sister on the run, now the head of the entire Chantry. The thought almost makes her laugh, not because it's absurd, but rather, she wonders if the Chantry knows what it's in for.

With hurried steps she heads towards the kitchen, expecting Leliana to be there to eat after her long sleep. When she sees her, Riona pauses, her lips twitching.]

You've been asleep about a week. I hope I'm not disturbing you, Most Holy.

[And so it begins.]

Oh no, definitely not that long.

[She smiles a bit at the use of her former title. It was a bit nostalgic, having gone two years addressed as Most Holy.]

I got a bit busy when we landed on the glacial planet. And it seems the Atroma saw fit to give me a bit of a nap.

[Carefully, she thinks of how to choose her words.]

I went to sleep as the Divine's Left Hand and awoke as her Successor to the Sunburst Throne.

[She presses her lips together and they curl in a thin smirk.]

Leliana is perfectly fine, Your Grace.

[It was nice to actually talk to her for a change after spending several weeks trying to keep Teagan from dismantling the Inquisition and Orlais from trying to use it as a token army.]

We've known each other long enough we can dispense with the formalities, no?

I didn't think so, but you never kn- wait, what?

[He stares for a long moment, not quite slack-jawed but certainly surprised. He knew her name had been tossed around in rumor but he didn't think she actually had a chance given her beliefs regarding mages and Templars. He'd told Anders as much but largely kept the opinion to himself. Sure, he would love to see her on the Sunburst Throne, then maybe there could actually be some real, effective, and long lasting change. But to actually hear that that's happened?]

Are you serious?

I don't mind if you call me just 'Leliana', of course. It's not as if the Chantry holds power here.

[She just continues as if he didn't get caught off guard, smiling more widely as she does.]

Morning sleepy head.

[ Marian seems pleased to see her, at least, chin resting on top of a balled hand. ]

Anything interesting to report? How is Varric doing?

[ There are other things she wants to ask about but she decides to keep to one for the moment, the most important of them all. ]

Oh, he's doing well enough. Somehow the Nobles decided to elect him Viscount of Kirkwall. He's enjoying it, as you can imagine.

[Or not enjoying it? It's an awful lot of work for someone like him, at any rate.]

Oh come on, you can't tell me that and expect me to at least not joke about it.

[She laughs under her breath as she approaches her friend.]

Well look at us. A lay sister and a Warden from a fallen family. Now Divine and Queen. [She shakes her head in disbelief, still smiling.]

He's what?

[ Did she just say - Varric? Viscount of Kirkwall?

I'm not sure I could get used to calling you Most Holy after you've threatened to send me home from Wicked Grace in nothing but my shame.

[He laughs, but there's an odd note to it, something disbelieving.]

I... I can hardly believe it. You're really Divine? What, um...

[He fidgets. So atypical of him, but he fidgets with his fingers for a moment before he asks.]

I hope things are as well as they can be, back home.

[He doesn't sound convinced by his own sentiment because let's face it, Thedas is kind of a shithole. ]

A lot can happen in two years.

Yes. Making real changes - though I don't suppose Teagan is fond of a few of them that I've made. Still can't agree on what to do with the Inquisition, but I suppose that's not a matter of importance for the moment, nor does it wholly rest upon the Chantry to decide.

[Honestly - she hasn't seen you in two years, Riona she's gonna hug you just a bit.]

A week for you but two years for me.

Well... [ It takes her a moment to recover from the news, the image of Varric running Kirkwall bouncing around in her head. ] I suppose he is the best choice if anyone were to become Viscount.

[ Still... two years, wow. ]

I am glad to hear someone's taking care of it.

You haven't missed much, really. We just left the system.

As well as can be expected, I think. The hole in the sky is gone, at least.

I've been Divine for two years, actually. As for what I planned to do with it - I abolished the Circle of Magi.

It's just so, really. Someone has to do the job. He was a large part of the rebuilding efforts and I don't see that as an unsatisfactory reward.

[A beat]

He might not see it that way, however.

[Varric liked a quieter life, she's gathered.]

Ah, good. The hotel was still lovely, no?

[She's mostly just happy to get back to normal - though which world was her normal remained to be seen.]

[At least here there's no weird hat to wear]

Mm! A little expensive, but I had a good time. Did you? I mean...when you weren't asleep.

[And she returns the hug in kind. She missed her, and worried about her, even if it was a much shorter amount of time.]

Teagan? Why are you dealing with him? And - what to do about the Inquisition? I take it that means all went well?

[He would make a joke about gambling and what's considered okay by Chantry standards but then she drops a bomb on him and he's left completely speechless. Struck completely dumb. He stares at her. Or past her. His eyes unfocus and all he can hear over and over are her words.

I abolished the Circle of Magi.

The Circle is gone. At least one Thedas has free mages.

Something warm and wet hits his cheek and Adalwolfe reaches up to wipe a tear from his cheek with a choked laugh.]

I'm sure whatever's left of the Templars loves you for that.

You're awake! [She's thrilled to bits. Everyone said it was something that just happened sometimes, but sleeping that long when you weren't sick was not normal. At least she seemed okay now.]

Did you say...two years? [More time between them, more time for things to have changed, especially when Lark wouldn't have been there anyway. Her smile stayed, though, just having Leliana back was enough.]

There must have been some stories to tell from those two years.

[These sleeps almost seem common place now, nearly everyone he knows has had them, including himself.]
