[He's not even 100% sure what infusing means, but it still sounds like it's something rude to do with things that doesn't belong to them.

He gives an apologetic look at Clay before he addresses Sorey and Mikleo again, scooting over to make room]

Come on and have a seat you two. Don't want to stand in the waitress's way.

[Clay had stared at the menu as it seemed to float, seeing something holding it, but again, not really able to see it. And he also has no idea what infuse means, but - yeah, what Allen said.

Speaking of what Allen said... sigh. All right. Normally, Clay would be perfectly happy to hang out with Sorey and Mikleo, but... on a date...?

He looks at Allen like he's in the office, then scoots over as well, that look vanishing in favor of smiling up at the two.]

Yeah, come on. There's plenty of room!

[OH THANK GOODNESS. They don't seem all that pleased about it, but Mikleo figures that if they're fussed about it they can just say so. He pushes the menu towards Sorey and moves behind him, giving the Shepherd a meaningful push.]

Well, go on- sit down and order something. I'm not going to tell you again.

[You need to eat!!]

Mikleo, you don't have to push... [Though when he slides into the booth it's not reluctant. He is hungry; he just hadn't realized how hungry he was until he could smell the food.

He glances up at Clay as Mikleo slides in beside him, only half-perusing that menu.] Clay, has your resonance gotten better? You couldn't even hear Mikleo before, right?

[Yeah he's sorry Clay, he is. Gonna make it up to you later and all that. In the meantime, he's going to scoot to make sure there's enough room for all as he pipes up quite proudly:]

He was able to make out a blurry image of him before!

[Because yes, any chance Allen has to brag about Clay, he's going to take it]

[You owe me x 2 and all that. And Clay was just opening his mouth when Allen cut to the chase before him. He lets out the breath he took in a sheepish chuckle, then perks up as he looks over at Sorey, looking pretty happy and proud of himself.]

Yeah, he's right! I mean, I still can't hear him, and I can only barely tell he's even there, but - progress is being made on the resonance thing!

[Which he still doesn't quite understand, but yay!!!]

It's pretty unusual to have one first and not the other, actually, but still impressive. -Oh, since you're here, why don't you hold his hand, Sorey? It's easier than using the communicator.

[This way no one has to deal with that weird echo! Which is totally more weird than holding someone's hand through an entire meal.]

[So... This again. Honestly he's fine with holding hands with someone who isn't his boyfriend or even his Alpha Best Friend (tm) for a little while, but... for an entire meal...? How is he going to eat...

Well... Maybe they don't have to for long!! So he gives Allen an awkward "please help me" smile before he reaches out to take Sorey's hand.]

So - Mikleo?

Hello again, Clay.

[Mikleo lifts his hand in greeting, whether Clay can see it or not.]

If I remember it right, being around Sorey back home helped to build the natural resonance within other people. I'm pretty sure that means over time this won't be necessary at all.

[So, you know, there's hope! But for now, there is hand-holding.]

- WHOA!

[Dude dude he can actually see Mikleo now! The shock of it makes Clay let go of Sorey's hand, so he doesn't catch half of that last part. But once he gets over it a little, he eagerly leans forward to take Sorey's hand again, now with a big smile as he watches Mikleo comes into view again.]

Dude! It's you! I actually see you!

[!?!?!]

Really?? You can see him?!

[Sure Allen can always see him, but holy shit!! This is a big deal!!]

Yeah! He's right there!

[He gestures with his free hand right where Mikleo is, then bounces slightly in his seat, like he can't contain his excitement. How long has it been since he's known Mikleo? And now he can finally see him?]

I can't believe it! [He looks at Allen] I'm seeing him!

[And in his happiness, he leans in to give Allen a quick kiss on the lips. When he pulls back, he faces Mikleo again, expression lit up. He'd kept that drawing that Sorey gave him to describe Mikleo to him, just because it was funny, adorable, and the only real lead he had to what he looked like. Now? Well, that drawing doesn't do it justice.]

[Sorey beams, resting his chin in his other hand and sneaking glances over at Mikleo. Clay's so excited it's hard not to be excited with him, even though he's been through this a couple times. Still! Clay's resonance really is progressing if he can see Mikleo now with this.]

See? Does he look just like I told you? [Only like 20938420934 times prettier right]

[Wow, hey, that's unexpected. Mikleo looks surprised for a moment, but it's quick to shift into a smile. He's even more happy about it than Alisha... well, it's also been a much longer wait for Clay. He's glad for it, regardless.]

Oh, thank goodness. That portrait he gave you of me was just terrible.

[Now Clay won't have to imagine him as some sort of doe-eyed mutant.]

[Clay's happiness and excitement is contagious, he can't help but smile along after Clay pulls away.]

This is incredible...

[He knows that Clay has wanted to see Mikleo for a long time now. And now to finally get the chance? It is nothing but incredible]

Oh, I don't know. I don't think Sorey's picture was that off. You do make that expression a lot.

Does he? [He wouldn't know, what with this being his first time seeing him. But still!]

It wasn't that bad...! [Okay it kind of was] If you keep practicing at it, you'll be drawing him like a pro for everyone to see! The one I have doesn't do him justice! [Because yeah it was pretty bad]

I do not.

[He says, while making said expression.]

Alright, alright, I get it. I'm not an amazing artist. [jerks] But you can see him now, right? And that face he always makes? No artisy would be able to do him justice, no matter how skilled.

[He snickers along with Allen, good naturedly as well as giddily. It's still so surreal, being a regular human with no powers whatsoever and being able to see something that by all rights, he shouldn't.]

Anyway, here. [Mikleo slides the menu back in front of Sorey.] Order something, already. Don't keep the server waiting.

[Yeah, Sorey's about in the same boat as Clay. He can't wipe the silly grin off his face, beaming between Allen, Clay and Mikleo in obvious joy. This is what makes being a Shepherd awesome; and one day everyone in his world will be able to see seraphim and then everybody can be happy to see their friends and auuuughhghghghsdl Sorey would put his head down on the table but Mikleo just shoved a menu at him. Fussy.]

Mikleo, you're making that face still. [But okay he'll order uh.........something. What are these things. Y'know what just give him the house special.]

[Oh right, ordering. He's still grinning and sounds amused as he orders as well]

Make that two house specials, and I'll also take the number 4, number 5, and number 8 combos. Oh! And some hot wings for appetizers! Very spicy, please!

[He nudges Clay a little]

What about you, Cowboy? I'm paying this time.
