[ If one does venture to the Space Bar they will in fact find (1) Marian Hawke, head buried in her device. On the floor beside her foot sits a small cleaning droid with a rather distinctive pattern painted on top of it. She doesn't seem to notice the droid idly beside her, barely raising her head when she accidentally taps it with her foot. ]

[He gives it a shake, careful not to use too much strength.] Mostly normal? [He smiles.] How did you earn that distinction?

[ Her mouth opens to begin to explain only to shut a moment later. Without warning she lifts a hand into the air, mana surging through her veins, and in her palm a roaring flame appears. ]

I'm extremely talented. [ As quickly as it appeared the flame vanishes, in it's place purple arches of lightning starts to curl up her arm and dance between her fingers. ] I'm what people call an apostate, or illegal mage, human in every way except I can shoot fire and so forth from my fingers.

[Winn is watching with interest and nodding appreciatively.] That's impressive. [Sure, he's seen Kara do things he can't too, but it's all still pretty impressive. There wasn't much of that on Daxam.] How do you get to be illegal for having a power though?

[ Her little magic show ends suddenly, her hand returning to the bar as she scoffs waving the same hand in the air a few times. ]

Religious nonsense. [ Isn't it always something religious or political? ] It is a long story, but someone decided magic was very dangerous who anyone who refused to cage themselves in glided prisons were considered illegal. A threat to the good normal citizens.

[ Again she waves a hand in the air. ]

Like I said, nonsense.

I'm sorry. [Looking sincere.] That sounds really unfair. [It's not a good way to treat world's citizens and he might have a little baggage about that which he tries not to touch.]

[ Hawke just smiles at him, obviously not bothered by it much. ]

Don't worry about it, I learn a little while ago that in the future someone has destroyed that system. It all worked out.

Oh. Well, that's...reassuring I guess. And strange. So far, I've been the guy from the future. [Would he want to know his?]

Is it weird being the guy from the future? I sort of understand what it is like, but I never had the chance to experience it much. Most of the people I know here already knew about the future before I arrived.
