good company and campfire stories.
Who: marian hawke & you.
Broadcast: fleetwide text.
Action: iskaulit.
When: now.
makers breath i am tired of fixing things
is anyone else tired of fixing things?? its feels like it is endless
not to mention i am rather useless at it
ill be at the space bar if anyone wants to join me :)
we can have a drink or play a game of cards or tell exciting and embarrassing stories
doesnt matter really as long as it isnt fixing things
[ If one does venture to the Space Bar they will in fact find (1) Marian Hawke, head buried in her device. On the floor beside her foot sits a small cleaning droid with a rather distinctive pattern painted on top of it. She doesn't seem to notice the droid idly beside her, barely raising her head when she accidentally taps it with her foot. ]

action
Some time after Marian's post, Riona arrives on the Iskaulit, dressed (if not a little haphazardly) and walking quickly to the bar. Her arm clutches her stomach, trying to ignore the pain as she eases through the doorway. She might have almost gotten eviscerated, but that's not gonna stop her from having a drink. Or five.]
Must be quite a lot of broken shit if you've had to fix that much. [She says this as she hops onto a bar stool next to Hawke, still gripping her stomach all the while.] How did you and your ship fare?

Hawke notices the way she moves a frown finding her expression as the other woman approaches and slides besides her - not that she can really judge, she'd do the same after all but still... ]
The Tourist got out of it alright, but my previous ship not so much. [ She puts her device down. ] I look better than you at any rate, shouldn't you be in bed somewhere?
no subject
[They need a pilot. Badly.]
I was ever since the attack. I'm going crazy being chained to a bed. Beverly is going to kill me for sneaking out but I'll deal with it. Better to beg for forgiveness than permission.
[When a bartender pops over, she orders a glass of wine. She likes to think she's being semi responsible for not going for the hard stuff.]

[ She can't help but feel a little guilty about it in truth, considering the unfortunate timing of her transfer. ]
Well I'm not hiding you if she comes storming in here breathing fire and brimstone, I know better than to get between a doctor and her patient.
[ What she will do, however, is ensure that their dear warden queen doesn't further hurt herself somehow. [

[Ships can be repaired; it's the crew that matters most.]
I should be aghast, but I can't blame you. But she's not the fire and brimstone type; it's ice and silence, with a look that can make the burliest of men shrink in fear.
no subject
[ That's the important part at least, the people left on the ship managed to make it through. ]
That's even worse. [ The description reminds Hawke of her mother's anger and for a moment she shivers at the memory. ] Now I am definitely not going to hide you if she comes through that door.
no subject
[She shoots a playful glare as her wine is brought to her. She takes a sip, leaning back a bit in her seat. And that's when she notices the little droid next to Hawke.]
...does that - you put the Grey Warden insignia on that little robot?

Action
...Is your droid a Grey Warden now? I don't imagine anyone has ever thought to vacuum the Darkspawn to death. Perhaps it would turn the tide of the next Blight.

Who knows, it could be exactly what we have always needed. A few hundred of these little guys down in the Deep Roads could have those blighted bastards running with fear.
no subject
Truly. They would certainly turn the tide of battle.
So. Boredom has struck you again? It's becoming quite the affliction.
no subject
Kind of, I felt like a little change is all. [ Hawke shrugs, tilting her head towards him. ] Unfortunately we don't have much in the way of roaming street gangs or cities to save to occupy my time, so I went with the alternative. A strong drink and hopefully interesting stories.
no subject
[Still.]
I would have thought we had enough excitement for a while.
no subject
[ He is not Varric but she enjoys that dwarf's company. ]
I suppose. [ Gaze flicks off to the side for a moment. ] But is there truly such a thing as enough excitement?

Maybe? We did just suffer through a raider attack, they might not have much of the strong stuff left.
