Who: marian hawke & you.
Broadcast: fleetwide text.
Action: iskaulit.
When: now.
makers breath i am tired of fixing things
is anyone else tired of fixing things?? its feels like it is endless
not to mention i am rather useless at it
ill be at the space bar if anyone wants to join me :)
we can have a drink or play a game of cards or tell exciting and embarrassing stories
doesnt matter really as long as it isnt fixing things
[ If one does venture to the Space Bar they will in fact find (1) Marian Hawke, head buried in her device. On the floor beside her foot sits a small cleaning droid with a rather distinctive pattern painted on top of it. She doesn't seem to notice the droid idly beside her, barely raising her head when she accidentally taps it with her foot. ]

[Sadly the story is all she knows of Aveline. And as humorous as it is, it's certainly not the most flattering account of her.]
You have family in the Wardens? Maker help you both. [She laughs a little.] Though despite saying that, you'd be surprised at what being in the Wardens does to a person, both good and bad. I take it he's part of the Free Marches division?

[ Only because she knows the woman has a soft spot for her, it allows her to get away with things that other people probably wouldn't. Maker's balls, she really does miss her.
Hawke shrugs, tilting her head slightly to the side. ]
I can't really say for sure. I handed Carver over to a Warden named Stroud, thing were a little dire at that point I didn't consider asking what division he was from. After I received word that he survived the blight that was coursing through him I didn't really care, Carver was alive. [ Still she manages a smile though. ] It has done him a lot of good, not nearly as angry and bitter as he used to be.

[Her eyes widen briefly at the mention of Stroud; it's not the first time she's heard of him. He died in the Fade, according to Leliana and Wolfe. And given that a Hawke had been in there with him when it happened...
No, she won't bring that up. No need to dredge that up.]
Fair enough. So he fell ill with the taint? [Riona's seen what happens to a person when they're afflicted with it. It's not pretty.] I'm glad he got to join them, then. It's a hard life, but it can be beneficial. Does he like being a Warden?

[ Something has Hawke brace herself as Stroud's name leave her lips, brief flickers of unpleasant memories dancing across her vision. Talk of Stroud comes hand in hand with talk of Carver, of the Deep Roads, of the Fade... It makes her glad when Riona doesn't bring the latter of the three up, muscles relaxing with a barely audible sigh of relief.
It can happen when you're trapped in the Deeps Roads with nothing by darkspawn, demons, and giant spiders as company. [ She jokes, of course, for to face that lingering guilt isn't something she feels like doing today. ] He does, surprisingly. Wrote me a letter once about how he can finally make a name for himself outside of my shadow.

[If he was here, she'd hit him over the head for that.]
We Wardens are quite handy down in the Deep Roads. I suspect Anders complained for a good chunk of the time, though. He bloody hates the Deep Roads. [Then again, who doesn't?]

[ There is a fondness to her voice as well as irritation. It's something he did when they were kids, when he was too proud to admit when he was hurt, too proud to ask for her help. What a snot nosed kid he used to be. ]
I know, I heard it in great detail... Still I'm glad he was there. We wouldn't of had a handy dandy Warden detector with us if he hadn't been.
