Welcome to my one-year anniversary. [Pause as she realizes maybe she should clarify that. Not a relationship thing.] Of being with the Fleet. Feels like it should come with a badge of some kind. Who hands those out? We're in a special club now, right? Secret handshake? Extra meal portions?

Anyway, I figured it was maybe time to try something different. So... Raise your hand if you'd be interested in attending a dance class if I taught one. And by raise your hand I mean call me back. I don't have surveillance set up in all the rooms yet. [She's kidding. She's probably kidding.] If anyone is in I'll set up a room for it on the Iskaulit. [Or maybe find the secret studio the previous Natasha had.]

[Kitty is poking around some of the empty spaces on the Iskaulit, but she might pop into some of the more established establishments too while she's there.]

No. I'm not a fan of the snobbery of it all.

[Plus he was called a manservant at the last one he went to. ]

[He's so smug. He got that reference and he can make a shitty joke about it. Look how happy he is.]

Woah, you know it? [Consider her surprised. Well done, smug one.]

I do. We had quite some down time between missions in Exsilium. I couldn't train all the time.

I'm impressed. Does Winn know? He will have so many references for you.

He knows I understand quite a few Earth movies- though he doesn't know about Dirty Dancing yet. I'll let you have that one as a gift. Tell him as you like.

It'll be a big day for us. [Teasing.]

So how far past the big one year anniversary are you?

I'm sure he'll be delighted.

[He has to actually think about that for a second. ]

Hmm. I passed the two year mark just last month.

Wow. Whole different badge. [She looks at him curiously. Maybe not the best topic? She's never sure how people feel about being here. Trapped and lacking freedom and agency is always bad, but home isn't always good either.]

[He doesn't seem to mind. Thedas is a festering dumpster fire of a world to come from, so he's pretty okay where he is. He an recognise the look, though. ]

It is fine. Between here and Exsilium, it has been a while since I have seen my home world. It is not much of a tragedy, to be honest.

[She nods.] Time was different in the place before this. I thought it was almost a year there, but I think it might have been longer. [So it's been awhile.]

Would you rather not go back?

It is hard to tell. I did a lot of time travelling, so things get a little...confused.

[One day you're in the Triassic period and the next your in FUTURE VEGAS. It;s enough to give anyone a headache. ]

Honestly? I would rather find somewhere else to live. I have heard enough of the future of my world to know there is nothing good coming our way. I...do not truly belong there anyway.

[She nods.] I'm sorry about your world, but I know the feeling. [It was a mess before she was pulled out and somehow it got to be even worse by Kurt's time.] If there's any way to do it I'm going to National City with Winn.

So, you have time traveling capabilities back home? Or was this at Exsilium? [Or something else?]

That would be good for you, to be able to stay together. Kirk has offered the Enterprise as a possibility for myself- I have to admit, it is a tempting offer.

[He makes a soft sound of amusement. ]

Oh no. Thedas is very... it doesn't really have technology. This was in Exsilium.

I got that offer once. It wasn't from Kirk. One of his crewmates in the last place I was at. [She still misses Chekov. He was a good friend.]

Ah. You know, I don't really know that much about you—your home, your past, your favorite popcorn flavor.

Were you tempted to take it?

[He makes a soft self-depreciating little huff. ]

That makes two of us. I know almost nothing about my past. I can tell you about Thedas, if you'd like. And it's salted.

[Because of course it is. ]

It was the best offer on the table at the time. If it had come up, I would have taken it. [Something just a little bittersweet about that. It was the offer of a close friend and not the offer of the man she loved there who broke things off.]

Thedas it is.

And I like mine sweet. Kettle corn.

I see. Things don't always work out the way you wish them to.

Duly noted. [About the popcorn. Fenris will remember that. ] What would you like to know about Thedas?

Don't I know it.

Mmm...What was your favorite part of Thedas? [Hard to know where to start, but "what was it like" is probably too broad. She never knows what to say to that.]

Kirkwall.

[That, at least, is easy. Not really a place most Thedosians would pick as a favourite, but he has good reason. ]

It's...quite frankly a filthy crime-ridden city, but it's the first place that ever really felt like home to me.

That's what's most important. The people, I'm guessing? [At least that's how it works for her. Not the place. The people. Even if the place ends up taking some of the credit years later.]

[A small smile tugs at the corners of his lips. ]

Yes. I made a lot of good friends there. Some of them are family to me.

Family is a big one. Mm...none back home? [Kind of a big question to ask. Maybe too big?]

I don't remember most of my family. The only one I know is still alive is my sister and she-

[Betrayed him, tried to get him caught back into slavery, felt justified in doing so.]
