[Hey Blue Fish Crew! The fleet is on the move again, so it's time for another mingle!

It be noted that Sokka activated a device that might cause glitches among the crew. So uh. Sorry about that. But at least once upgrades go through, we'll have a deep fryer?! Yay!

I don't know, I think you look pretty great myself.

[Um.

He clears his throat. That came out weird. That's weird. Don't be weird, doofus. He rubs the back of his neck, staring at the ceiling. ]

Er. I mean. Yeah sure. You can totally have a hairdressing robot butler.

[ the practical upshot of being valued for one's marriageability is that sansa barely bats an eyelash at compliments on her appearance. she might deny her intrinsic goodness until she's blue in the face, but even her enemies spoke to her beauty. although the word great was never used in quite that fashion. she chalks it up to a quirk of sokka's mother tongue.

and smiles. of course she smiles. ]

-- Mayhaps it can brush hair, too? [ it's so tiring to brush one's own hair. but she stops short of asking sokka whether the robot could also wash her hair. once upon a time, she could always depend on a servant to do that chore for her. ]

[He's glad his flub has largely been passed by. That could have been awkward.

He's never really heard of anything brushing someone's hair for them, but perhaps it's a noble thing. There are things the Earth and Fire people do that blow his mind sometimes- that's the case in the North sometimes, too. The South is a little more...rustic in comparison. ]

Uh, sure? I don't see why not.

Back home -- back home, even when I was kept in King's Landing. Even when I had to pretend to be someone else. I had a handmaid to brush and style her hair. [ and bathe and dress and pretty much do all the things sansa now finds so tedious but so vital to her performance. ]

-- I've missed it. One of your droids might be a suitable replacement. [ it still hasn't quite occurred to her that other people might not always sympathize with how she misses having servants. ]

[At least he doesn't judge. He understands other people are raised differently. Heck, that's much like Toph's life, before she broke free of it and joined them. Kept. Looked after. ]

Well, if it's something you miss from home, I can sure give it a try for you.

-- I'd be most obliged, Sokka. [ she beams. ] Thank you. I know I can count on you to do your utmost best.

[He full on BEAMS, giving a little theatrical bow for emphasis. ]

I absolutely will. You're worth it.

[ -- worth it. her cheeks colour, a little, at that. and when they've all recovered she'll be glad to have the glitch to blame for her reaction. sansa tightens her fingers around her mug of tea and buries a fresh smile behind a sip. ]

But do mine last. [ she gives her head a calming shake. ] Others must have better plans and more noble desires than this one. Mine can wait, I think.

[ so she's matured at least a little bit. ]

[He doesn't seem to notice, thanks to his glitch. He just grins- slightly manically. ]

With the energy I have right now, I think I could do them all in one day!

You do seem rather...high in spirits.

[ an understatement. where once she might have said it with concern, she now voices it with outright approval. ]

I know, right? I don't know where all this energy has come from. I haven't felt like this since Allen hid that really strong coffee from me.

Hid it? [ ... ] Why?

Apparently I'm [he's gonna use fingerquotes here] 'hyper enough already that I don't need help'.

You're the Captain! [ she's made this argument before -- but this time it borders on playful. ] Captains should be able to drink whatever they like. Tea or 'coffee' or wine! Or -- oh, iced milk with honey in it.

[He grins, partly because of the tone, partly because she's taking his side. ]

Thank you! That's what I said. That should absolutely be a captain-y privilege!

...Oooh. Iced milk with honey. That actually sounds good.

It's better than good. It's delicious -- and with a little bowl of blueberries on the side! [ a happy sigh. ] They would serve it on hot days in King's Landing.

[He mentally adds that to the list of supplies to find for her, one day. ]

Well, we're just going to have to look for some. Unless the replicator can make them, maybe.

The milk is never as creamy. Nor the honey quite sweet enough. [ despite this disappointment, she smiles. as though the memory sustains her. ] But it isn't so bad -- to make do with what we have.

I guess we do, huh? Maybe someday we'll find a Waystation that can perfectly make food from other worlds. Until theeeen, I guess a second best works as well as anything else.

Far better than what they call soda. [ ... ] That stuff tastes lovely at first, but then it makes my stomach ache.

I got to agree with you on that one. I'm not a fan. I prefer fruit juices.

[It's one thing he'll miss when he inevitably goes back to the South Pole. Fresh fruit juice. ]
