[ it's probably unfortunate that the network is left open and broadcasting, because tadashi awakes with a jolt and a gasp and sits up fast in his bunk on the marsiva. he isn't sure where he is, but he knows this wasn't where he was, and it's clear there's some mental scrambling going on as he desperately tries to slot in place the very few pieces of the puzzle he has. ]

Professor Callaghan?

[ had something happened? was this the hospital? ]

Hiro? Guys - what's going on?

[ ACTION: ]

[ and until the shuffle, tadashi will be found... pretty much investigating everything he can about the marsiva. he might not have an engineer augment, but he still finds it all pretty ridiculously fascinating. if he's not too absorbed into whatever he's doing, he's equally likely to flag any friendly-looking faces down.

might as well get to know his fellow... space... travelers, right? (wow, that was gonna take some getting used to.) ]

Cassandra. Can use Cass, though. [Hiro had liked that, hearing her shortened name. Maybe it will cause the same kind of bloom of contentment, and after such an emotional reunion it only seems right to try to give that kind of comfort, even if it is small.] What about you? Do you... love the tech?

[ it's not contentment, exactly, but it does win a wry sort of smile from him. ]

That's my aunt's name. Don't think I've met anyone else who goes by that. Neat.

[ so, in short: tadashi approves. her question gives him pause, though, just because he wants to make sure he doesn't sound like a gushy nerd when he answers. ]

And yeah, uh. I'm in school for - well, my main focus is on robotics? Not sure how useful it'll be here, but... [ a little shrug, indicating: it is what it is. ]

[It looks just as nice on Tadashi as it had on Hiro, that recognition, and it's nice to know the reasoning behind it now. She had wondered, but hadn't wanted to ask at the time.

And really, he doesn't have to worry. She knows Tim Drake and it doesn't get much more nerdy than that. His answer gets a surprised look, and then she laughs softly.]

That's what I'm hoping, but a lot of this tech is just - I mean, what I didn't wake up understanding is totally alien.

Heard about that. Saw my little brother got stuffed into a penguin suit.

[Definitely not, though she's never actually been called cute before. It is, apparently, a sentiment the Hamada bros have in common, though. She's intrigued by the way he's talking, choppy like her but still fluid enough to sound normal. It's nice, in a way. Familiar.]

A penguin suit? [She's never heard it called that before.] Bet he made... really cute penguin.

[ tadashi's shoulders shake with muted laughter. ]
