I must say the good folk of this stop are very kind - they have allowed my brother and I use of the mines and forges here in exchange for some trading. My brother and I are going to be working on some proper swords - if anyone else is inclined to a bladed weapon, we are happy to make you one as well.

Grandfather, Fingon, you needn't ask, but your help in the forges would be invaluable - Maedhros and I manage, of course, but neither of us are... what we were. And we have neither Father, nor Curvo, nor Tylepe here to point out everything we are doing wrong!

Ah, yes. It will be interesting to see how it compares to the original.

It was rather difficult to use for most people, but I was able to master it nonetheless.

It has been a long time since I have seen new sword techniques, but this sort of blade is one I am unfamiliar with, so it will be interesting!

I always enjoy learning a new style and seeing how well it meshes with my own.

Of course. I would be curious to learn yours as well. Since there are many types of people here, learning to expand my style to account for them all could be very [crucial to survival] interesting.

This is true, and I wonder if we should see if this is something that we could offer regularly. Doubtless it would entertain our ... viewers, also, but I think it would be good to have a place to train.

I believe someone else... [Who was it? Leiliana?] was thinking that exact thing. She was thinking of creating a space for archery, and I was hoping to open a dojo nearby. There is the gym on the Iskaulit, but it isn't quite the same.

I remember that, yes! I have already asked if she would help me with the bow - it has been a long time and I do not think I will ever be able to draw a warbow again, but... and the lady and I agreed to a spar. I think having a proper spot for blades would not go amiss.

It seems all of the money I make here will be going to either you or to the Iskaulit then. Working toward the creation of a dojo seems to be a common goal for many people.

[ Maglor shrugs a little wryly ]

If tis any consolation, I suspect most of mine will be tied up in this venture also.

[He laughs again and shakes his head.]

I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining. I just think it's funny. I was never allowed to earn money before, and somehow I've managed to find a way to give away anything I earn here, too.

Nor I to be judging! But I suppose we should see about saving some of your coin for other uses!

I keep just enough to get myself something sweet when necessary. Otherwise, I don't require much of anything, so don't worry.

And the edge curiously does not seem to dull - well, at least, not at the rate Okita might expect. The makers mark, if he looks for it, is an eight-pointed star ]
