Who: Winn Schott and you
Broadcast: Video
Action: Tourist
When: Friday
[ there's something off about winn when the feed turns on. something different from all his other broadcasts. it may take a second to spot it but once you realize what it is it becomes glaringly obvious: there's not a hint of happiness anywhere on his face. his eyes, his lips, his nose, it looks like every last bit of joy has been drained from his features, so even when his lips do stretch lightly upwards, despite his dry eyes it feels more like watching him sob than seeing him smile. ]
Margaery's gone home. [ he has no way of knowing that. she could have been kidnapped to another world, one where she would have no protective big brother to introduce her to superheroes and feminism, to embroider with her and teach her science. but he chooses to hang onto that thought, to believe that she's gone back to the family he knows she so desperately missed despite never letting her pain show. he clears his throat. ] If any of her friends wanna come by for a toast and some stories, I'll be on the Tourist all day.
[ he has been on the tourist since he realized she disappeared, curled up in his bed, shut down. this is the most he's said since, and it feels almost like an outer body experience. he clears his throat again, and nods at the camera before killing the feed. ]

Action.
... If I may be blunt, you look a fright.
At least come out and have some coffee.
Action.
You call that blunt? [ he doesn't need to see a mirror to know he looks like shit. ]
Action.
Now — how do you prefer your coffee?
[Who cares if you haven't answered the initial inquiry, he's making you coffee. Come along, young man.]
Action.
Strong.
Action.
[He smiles a bit, hands behind his back as he walks. Always sharply dressed in suit and tie, always with shined shoes and carefully combed hair. If there's one thing to be said, Jarvis never lets himself slip below the professional line.]
I imagine you will also be hesitant to discuss the issue at hand.
[He says it with soft confidence.
He's used to it. The Miss Carters and Mr. Starks, they're easy to spot.]
Action.
Point two for psychic.
[ he voice turns a little harsher. sorry, jarvis, he's touchy today. ]
Action.
My apologies. I'm afraid I'm still used to my master's brand of conversation.
But regardless, it's... not a good idea to hole yourself up.
[He glances at the young man.]
It will not do you any good, to suffer alone.
Action.
[ he doesn't like letting people see him like this - it makes him feel vulnerable, weak. it makes him feel like he has to put on a smile and a show for them so as not to inconvenience them and that's too much, it's too hard right now. ]
Action.
That's why it's good to combat it.
[He's moving to make coffee already, expression schooled into something more casual, as if it's just another day. It's how Jarvis copes with anything, himself. Putting himself in his job and settling there, and then speaking to Ana when things are quieter. He really... has nobody else to speak to on his own feelings, than his dearest.]
But regardless, I don't mind your misery at the table, as long as you're at the table and not curled up in a bed by yourself.
Action.
Funny, for months, everyone's trying to get me in bed. I get in, and everyone's trying to get me out.
Action.
you and miss carter both i swear]
Such is the fickle life of inventors and engineers who don't look at clocks enough [The machine's working; as terrible a creature as the machine is, he's gotten it to work relatively okay when he uses it. No promises for you guys, though.] I think you should consider going out, getting some air. Being closed in on a ship is no way to brew in your thoughts.
Have you considered hiking or visiting the planet?
Action.
I look at clocks.
[ he just ignores them, because he finds them completely meaningless in space where he has no routine, usually no job to get to. ]
Been there, done that, made the t-shirt. [ actually, that t-shirt he hasn't made yet, but he's just honestly a little relieved he can make a joke at all. none have been coming to him for a while and it made him feel broken. ]
Action.
But he will let you have your humor. It's better than nothing.]
You know, you've probably been there and done that when it comes to being in your bedroom, too. One is probably more productive and helpful than the other. [He considers the situation for a moment.] What sort of things do you do, for your usual work?
Action.
Depends on what you mean by my usual work.
Action.
[He's trying to figure out a decent solution to the sadness, of course. He knows it won't repair anything, but it is crucial to keep one's self moving when they're in a funk.]
And I have little to offer but my interest in such work.
[A pause, coffee growling with bubbled heat behind him.]
We could discuss the heart of the matter, though I imagine people have already properly drilled that home for you by now, people who you know and trust far more than me. You've quite a lovely group, coming in and out.
Action.
that requires too much talking to explain, though, too much opening up, so instead he addresses that second part. ]
I'm very lucky. [ of course, it also means he has a lot of people to lose, but he's trying very hard not to focus on that. ]
Action.
[He smiles a bit, tentative.]
Miss Carter is certainly someone I've grown glad to have, both here and at home. And it's lovely to have met Mr. Rogers and the others. Everyone, really.
But I'm a bit homesick, I'll admit. I've never been separated this long from my wife.
Action.
What's her name? [ he and kitty have yet to celebrate their first anniversary and he would still be devastated to be separated from her, even if he knew she was sent to safety back in national city. now he's hurting for jarvis, too. ]
Action.
[He's never really fallen out of the lovebirds stage, and that might not really ever change. She's one of the few people who have ever made him so happy, after all.]
... and she never fails to try and embarrass me, so I suppose I should be glad that she's not here to make me turn red at a moment's notice.
Action.
Sounds like she'd get along with Kitty. [ because making him blush is a particular hobby of hers, too. ] Probably too well for our own good.
Action.
Miss Pryde and Ana together? Conspiring?
...
It would be the end of us all.
Action.
[ fondly. hey, he's nearly died like 5 times in the fleet, and did countless other dangerous things that could've easily turned into another near-death experience. none of them have been anywhere near this pleasant. ]
Action.
The Atroma would be overwhelmed and defeated by the sheer power of their plotting, I think. That, or they would make a considerable amount of credits. [He turns the ring on his finger absently, though despite him missing her terribly, he's in a decent mood.] Miss Pryde and yourself — did you meet here?
Action.
he nods at the question. ]
She's the first person I met here.
Action.
And she ended up sweeping you off your feet.
