[At some point after getting Nightingale to stop screaming, a proper party is assembled! They've got everything: tanks, mages, DPS, puzzle-solvers! This whole dungeon crawl should be a cinch, right? It's not like any of them have a tendency to attract bad luck or sudden disaster.

[For the first time since arriving on the fleet, Asuna actually looks excited. She's already looked over her gear and potion supply-- still in tact from her switch from game to reality-- and seems nearly ready to go, recently acquired rapier in her hand. As she glances around, she realizes she may need to lay a few things out in the open.]

For those who don't know, I'm Asuna, a mage and a swordswoman. I can do healing and buffs as well as offensive magic, but I can switch to my rapier easily. So I'll go wherever I can be most useful in whatever we come across.

You're good just about anywhere, huh?

[She sounds like she admires that, honestly.]

Let's start with ranged attacks, I think, until we know more about what we're fighting. Do you have multi-target spells?

Well I was originally going to focus on magic, but... [She trails off with a chuckle.] I found I couldn't give up my sword.

[Asuna nod.] Yeah, I do. I should be fine even if we're spotted first-- the casting for one doesn't take too long compared to the higher level options. For testing purposes, it's doable.

[yessss. She seems rather excited to be doing this again.]

Perfect. I have long range magic and debuffs, and with my new class, I can close to melee range to use my magic without MP cost. I can cover magic damage, but I don't have multi target as a Channeler, so we'll have to rely on you for that if it comes to it.

Of course. My spells are ice and water based, so whatever we encounter down here might have resistances if nothing else. However, I can enhance my water damage and give our group water resistance as well. And Aqua Bind will be good, too, if we need to stall them.

[The excitement is so contagious.]

[She nods.]

I've got fire, ice, and lightning- And quake, but that's totally useless- and I can use poison and sleep statuses if we need to. We should be pretty covered...

Oh, and I've got Wind for the puzzles.

Ah, let's not use lightning down here. At all. [That pretty much goes without saying, but a part of her can't help but vocalize it. For safety reasons.]

And we're aiming for one hundred percent dungeon completion, right?

[A habit she picked up from Kirito.]

Huh? Why not?

[She sounds genuinely confused on that point.]

Hm... Only if we're sure we can handle it. Let's get a feel for the level of the monsters first. We don't have potions here, and Opal's only got so much MP. I can backup heal if it's absolutely needed, but I'm... really, really bad at it, so it's better to not take needless risks.

[Oh my god. Girl, please. Luckily Asuna's pretty good about hiding her surprise sometimes. Now is a time. Hopefully.]

Water conducts electricity. If you use a spell like that, we'll all be affected. [Fried. She means fried.]

I'm a healer, too, and I've got MP potions in my inventory. They came along with me when I arrived.

[She looks at Asuna like she's not making sense.]

... What are you talking about? If I don't target us, it won't affect us.

[wait something else there was more important.]

Potions can wait!

[It's the sharpest she's been since arriving, but this is a big deal!]

Do you know what it means when something conducts electricity? This is very important.

[She raises a hand in greeting, nodding as she listens to that description.]

Opal. Uh, healer, I guess? Nightingale can probably handle strategy better than I can, so I'll let her tackle that, but. Nice to meet you.

Hey, you're a healer? I didn't know that! That'll give Asuna a chance to focus more on DPS then, awesome.

Yeah. It's like Nightingale said, I guess, we're... surprisingly balanced as a whole.

Funny how that worked out. But hey, I'm not about to complain. Just means we'll be that much stronger as a group.

Yeah.

[A small pause.]

Have you done this kind of thing pretty often before?

Oh yeah. Probably a thousand times at this point.

I am definitely not that experienced, even if I feel like I am.

[Given how much Nightingale talks about this kind of thing.]

I'll try not to ruin anything either way, though.

I'm sure it'll be fine. These types of places tend to be durable enough to handle whatever we can dish out. They have to last hundreds of years, right? And underwater, too.

Oh, that's good! Do you use magic? [Asuna's never met her, but if she's with Nightingale, she's okay already.]

And Kirito-kun and I are plenty used to this type of thing ourselves, so she won't be alone in that.

Is it a single target use, or are you able to heal multiple at once? What else can you do?

Single, but it doesn't take long. I could get a few of you within a couple of seconds, I think. Other than that, I can make myself or someone else harder to injure, and create a barrier to protect someone from damage.

[She looks a little bit thrown by the excitement, but. Being with Nightingale has at least prepared her for it, for the most part.]

Oh, defense buffs and barriers! Those will really be a help!

[If it helps, she's also super happy to meet her?]

Yeah, I hope so. They've definitely come in handy before.
