[At some point after getting Nightingale to stop screaming, a proper party is assembled! They've got everything: tanks, mages, DPS, puzzle-solvers! This whole dungeon crawl should be a cinch, right? It's not like any of them have a tendency to attract bad luck or sudden disaster.

[Dungeons are not dungeons without puzzles to solve or monsters to fight. So, you know, fight puzzles and solve monsters. (You solve monsters by hitting them with things until they stop being a problem. Obviously.)]

This is actually a fairly balanced party we've got here... But with six, I'm worried the EXP gains won't be much.

Why worry so much about EXP when there's adventure to be had? We're plenty strong enough.

[He's not really used to that issue- since SAO he's become awfully singular. Wait, do the avatars count? He hasn't done much combat in the others so he hasn't checked...

What classes are you working on?

My main is Mage, obviously. But ever since the fight with-

With the dragon, I unlocked a new class that I've never heard of. Channeler, it's called. I've been trying to work on leveling it up, since I don't know anything about it.

[For the first time since arriving on the fleet, Asuna actually looks excited. She's already looked over her gear and potion supply-- still in tact from her switch from game to reality-- and seems nearly ready to go, recently acquired rapier in her hand. As she glances around, she realizes she may need to lay a few things out in the open.]

For those who don't know, I'm Asuna, a mage and a swordswoman. I can do healing and buffs as well as offensive magic, but I can switch to my rapier easily. So I'll go wherever I can be most useful in whatever we come across.

You're good just about anywhere, huh?

[She sounds like she admires that, honestly.]

Let's start with ranged attacks, I think, until we know more about what we're fighting. Do you have multi-target spells?

Opal. Uh, healer, I guess? Nightingale can probably handle strategy better than I can, so I'll let her tackle that, but. Nice to meet you.

He considers that for a moment, arms crossing, fingers drumming against the leather of his coat. Hmmm, thinky-think.]

Maybe start with your main just to gauge how difficult the fights are, and if you feel confident enough to switch, go for it. The rest of us can cover you as long as you let us know.

[ So.... Nightingale talks like video game things are real life. Asuna's mentioned being here in her in-game avatar and how she can still pull up an in-game menu. Jayden is seriously curious just how many people here on the fleet are like this... But, at least she can keep up with the lingo by virtue of having played video games before, extensively! She even just watches Nightingale and Kirito discuss EXP and leveling up, taking it all in stride... Eventually though, it is her turn to introduce herself. ]

Name's Jayden. I'm a Striker Titan, which is high defense and counter-strikes. Pretty used to tanking. Don't mind keeping that up.

By the way. Puzzles and riddles? Not really my favorite. [ She shakes her head. ] If there are physical challenges, I'm your girl. Otherwise? Just tell me what to do and I'll do it.

My magic will be a lot stronger while I'm a mage, but as Channeler, I don't have to worry about MP limits, at all. Since there's no MPots I've found here...

Hey, you're a healer? I didn't know that! That'll give Asuna a chance to focus more on DPS then, awesome.

Puzzles and strategy are my forte, so I don't mind. I'm glad to have someone like you here, though. Do you mind taking the front when we're going, then? If you've got high defense and counters, you'd be our best bet to take the first hit in any encounters.

[She's already analyzing her abilities on how to fit it into their party makeup.]

Ahhh... I'm with you there, not gonna lie. Puzzles aren't my strong spot. I'm glad we've got ourselves a tank, though- I was sort of worrying that I'd have to do it myself, and...

[He is so not specced for that. Even if he sometimes ends up in the role anyway, he knows it's not in anyone's best interests to do it for long.]

M...Pots? Is that like an MP restorative?

[Never heard of that one, but he can guess.]

[ She manages a tiny smile. This rag-tag get-together team is starting to feel like a makeshift Fireteam like back home, and that's kinda nice, honestly. ]

Glad you're good with the puzzles. Looks like with all of us, we've got things covered.

I'm amazed at how balanced a party we got... I can't think of any real weak points we have, then.

Well I was originally going to focus on magic, but... [She trails off with a chuckle.] I found I couldn't give up my sword.

[Asuna nod.] Yeah, I do. I should be fine even if we're spotted first-- the casting for one doesn't take too long compared to the higher level options. For testing purposes, it's doable.

Oh, that's good! Do you use magic? [Asuna's never met her, but if she's with Nightingale, she's okay already.]

And Kirito-kun and I are plenty used to this type of thing ourselves, so she won't be alone in that.

Yeah. It's like Nightingale said, I guess, we're... surprisingly balanced as a whole.
