[At some point after getting Nightingale to stop screaming, a proper party is assembled! They've got everything: tanks, mages, DPS, puzzle-solvers! This whole dungeon crawl should be a cinch, right? It's not like any of them have a tendency to attract bad luck or sudden disaster.

[ So.... Nightingale talks like video game things are real life. Asuna's mentioned being here in her in-game avatar and how she can still pull up an in-game menu. Jayden is seriously curious just how many people here on the fleet are like this... But, at least she can keep up with the lingo by virtue of having played video games before, extensively! She even just watches Nightingale and Kirito discuss EXP and leveling up, taking it all in stride... Eventually though, it is her turn to introduce herself. ]

Name's Jayden. I'm a Striker Titan, which is high defense and counter-strikes. Pretty used to tanking. Don't mind keeping that up.

By the way. Puzzles and riddles? Not really my favorite. [ She shakes her head. ] If there are physical challenges, I'm your girl. Otherwise? Just tell me what to do and I'll do it.

Puzzles and strategy are my forte, so I don't mind. I'm glad to have someone like you here, though. Do you mind taking the front when we're going, then? If you've got high defense and counters, you'd be our best bet to take the first hit in any encounters.

[She's already analyzing her abilities on how to fit it into their party makeup.]

I'm amazed at how balanced a party we got... I can't think of any real weak points we have, then.

Only thing I don't like is how useless guns are underwater, so I don't have them. Just this. [ She nods at the glaive she's brought with her. ] Glad they had something in town I know how to use. Everything else? I'm fine with. So far.

That'll be useful... With you and Kirito in the front, Asuna and I providing ranged damage, and Opal providing support, we should be good for battle.

Ahhh... I'm with you there, not gonna lie. Puzzles aren't my strong spot. I'm glad we've got ourselves a tank, though- I was sort of worrying that I'd have to do it myself, and...

[He is so not specced for that. Even if he sometimes ends up in the role anyway, he knows it's not in anyone's best interests to do it for long.]

Honestly, I have no idea. It could be a bag of flavoured tofu for all we know. But it's something to do, right? Any experience can be good.

What weapons do you use, anyway? Or, well, what have you got on you for this?

[He jerks a thumb over his shoulder, half-turning so she can see the twin swords hanging in their sheaths at his back.]

I usually stick to one, but I'll switch between the two if we need it.

I'm glad you could make it! You're just what we needed, too. [She really is happy. It's kind of silly.] We'll keep you covered on the healing front with no problems!

[ Wow, everyone's so excited about this!! Jayden might not look super pumped about it (resting bitch face, yo) but she's definitely feeling better about the whole thing than she was before meeting everyone. ]

Perfect. Can't wait to see real healing magic in action... didn't really have that back home.

I can't wait either. It'll be new for me, too. [Because it's all from video games in her world. At least she tested her magic on the last planet before hopping into any dangerous situations.]

What equipment do you use?

Usually? Guns and full body armor. But, since we're underwater? None of that's happening. Not like I had any of it when I got dragged from home anyway.

[ But, she's not worried about those particular setbacks, clearly. She's got a glaive in her hand for a reason, after all~ she nods to it. ]

I know how to use this, though. Glad they were selling 'em in town. I'm trained in hand-to-hand too. I can still keep a team safe.

I'm not awful at puzzles, either, so Nightingale and I can probably handle that.

I've never heard of tanking before, but I'm pretty sure I can guess what it means. That's pretty cool.

Yeah, I've never used the word outside of like, video games, when I was a kid. but it makes sense, I guess. Weird how some things in other worlds have fuller meanings, huh?

Magic definitely wasn't a thing in my world. It's weird to see everyone so accepting of it here.

Wasn't a thing in my world either until my second time around. [ Hooray, being dead for centuries! ] I had a hard time wrapping my head around it at first. Guess that was like practice for ending up here, where everything's even crazier.
