Have you ever seen a lady wearing ungodly amounts of purple? No? Well, you are now and that outfit can only be said to be designed by emo teenagers-- but at least she got rid of the most offensive items a long time ago. Though she doesn't seem to really care about that, but she does look pretty well annoyed. And for good reason.]
Very funny.
[It's not said directly to the communicator because, if there's one thing you learn after a while in her life: When people suddenly kidnap you somewhere they're usually not far away to laugh at you as you panic. This went for what she remembered of her old life and just about everything that happened in the Black Woods. It's really difficult to panic under those circumstances. You just get angry instead.]
I swear if you touched those kids I will find you. Don't think I won't.
[Because she'd been looking for them what little time she was on the Marivsa because usually in situations like this... Well, she was trying not to think about it but being shuffled no more than 24 hours later does not do for one's ire. But that's all she says for the moment.]
[MINGLE FOR STARSTRUCK »
How's it going for you guys? There's the new lady around now, at least, but maybe that's not very helpful. Since she's kind of not all there-- but for different reasons than probably expected. You're not trying to take your augments out again, are you?
It seems you might have some to catch up on for now. Or maybe you just want to stop the new lady from looking through the food supplies. Because that's a thing, too.]

[ It's said dryly at least and she was going to respond but then he just... Clicked off, well. Okay. What is with all you men and just disappearing when you want. It's not like she doesn't have other things to do right not and so she goes back to rummaging through the kitchen disdainfully until he's back. ]
Wait-- Call?
Oh. I just... say your name, right? [ It's not like she hasn't called Leo a million times or him, but well she's still not exactly sure how it works. But maybe she should try--- ]Chris?

[ One place had meat but no fanciness another one had fanciness but no drunkenness and the last had drunkenness but no meat and it was all just weird. ]
Right. [ Chris shuts off his communicator when he hears her voice not through the call, but through his magic. He frowns and catches on to it as quickly as possible, follows it all the way to Piper's ship. Because he's awesome, he even manages to shimmer himself outside of the kitchen so there isn't some kind of demon surprise explosion waiting for him. ] Piper? It's Chris.

[ Look, she has good reason not to trust places like this and dumb games. She's been turned into a cat, won a game via eeny meeny mo, and status effect hangman. To name a few. She just doesn't believe they won't play dumb games if it's in their interests.
She feels rather silly calling him like that. Just because she remembered those kind of things didn't mean she really applied it in her stay in the Black Woods at all. Even when she regained her own magic-- and some unfortunate misdoes-- she didn't really use it. There wasn't much use for stopping time or blowing things up. At least not constantly, so she's not really expecting anything to happen.
But then she hears his voice and moves to peer curiously around the corner. ]
--It worked?

He sees her and nods in greeting, something of a smile lighting up his expression. ]
Of course it did. It's nice to see you in the flesh. Here— [ He holds out the bundle of clothes. ] I've got someone on my ship about the same size as you, she doesn't mind lending you some stuff 'til you're more... settled.
no subject
...Yeah. She wasn't sure about that, but she does try to smile in kind even if doesn't quite seem like her normal smile. Give her a bit. ]
Hey, how am I supposed to know how magic works in outerspace? [ It's said in her own light way and for a brief moment she hesitates. Then carefully, slowly almost, she takes the bundle of clothes before pulling them to her. She really does doubt blowing a hole in the ship would help anything. ]
Thanks. Um, tell her if she needs anything I can try... Or, you know, she'll definitely have them back when I have more.
no subject
It's the same as back home, apparently. At least, I haven't had any problems like that yet. And—don't worry about it. Seriously. Shirley's fine with it, but I can give you her frequency if it's that big of a deal.
[ He pauses, hesitates, then looks around to make sure there's no more errant broadcasts going on. ] Did you turn your communicator off?
no subject
Yet, so let's not let you get stuck floating in outer space one day. [ It's not like she cares! But then she shakes her head. ] It is a big deal to me. It's not like she has to, so I'd like to repay her.
There. [ She cocks her head at the question and then peers back into the kitchen where she'd left it. ]I think so? I'm pretty sure I did.
no subject
Right, then I'll send you that frequency later and you can thank her or offer a favor or... whatever.
[ Chris peers in too to double-check and is relieved to see that it's off. ] Good, because we kind of need to talk, too. I don't know how much you might remember about magic or being a witch or a Charmed One, but just as a precaution.
no subject
Thanks. --And thanks for asking, too.
[ Because that is a lot of purple. Her fingers go to twist on the necklace that holds the amethyst key as he peers in and she settles. This is all very strange and hearing those words gives a sort of spark she can't quite fully place. ] I don't even know how much of what I know makes any sense. Or if it ever will at all. [ Since it feels like she knows her stuff in memories, but nothing is ever quite settled? It's very unsatisfying. ] Like what? Does... Charmed business even occur out here?
no subject
[ It probably sounds a bit wrong. They were always just friends before they realized who Chris was, not his charges or anything like that, people he needed for help instead of the ones he was assigned to aid. Not that he knows it, but there's a strange, fine line being crossed between them and he blames it on the amnesia pushing them apart again. ]
No. Not Charmed business exactly. Just... Okay, look. Cole's probably going to try and get on your nerves, or even just ask for help in getting potion ingredients or brewing something. Don't rise to the bait.
[ This is literally a matter of life or death and Chris has a certain gravity about him that makes it obvious without trying to be too overwhelming. Then again, he's always been a pretty serious dude. ]
no subject
[ It's said in a way to just accept it. Piper isn't really one to accept friends doing stuff for her without doing something in kind. It was the stubborn streak in her that didn't want her to put others through something for her feelings. At least she didn't ask but, well, she did always hate costumes. And she doubted he didn't know that.
She folds her arms against her chest, arranging the bundle of clothes in her arms and rolling the name through her head. She knew who he was, if only from watching him and Phoebe. So understanding the tone in Chris' voice isn't difficult-- but it is alarming. She waits a moment to process it before speaking. ]
Okay, but why is he wanting a potion? [ That seems the question that needs to be asked since she can handle her nerves. Well-- she can try. She'd been working really hard to not just point at things and some such, so she has to have faith ] I might not know as much as I should, but these half-answers just ask for trouble.
no subject
Promise you won't freak out?
no subject
I'll freak out less if you just get on with it. [ She raises a brow. ] So?
no subject
Okay. Cole's half-demon and he's somehow got it into his head lately that he might turn evil and the only way to stop him would be to kill him with an upper-level vanquishing potion, so he asked someone to get him the ingredients for it recently. Which—it's not happening.
no subject
Okay. [ She says it with a breath, running a hand against her temple. ] I mean-- Why does he think that? Is it even, you know, possible to get those kind of potion ingredients up here?
[ Since she remembers how annoying it could be to find some on Earth. ]
no subject
[ Because this is the Halliwell luck right here. ]
As for why he thinks that... I'm not sure. Whatever's gotten into him, it's probably nerves. To a point. We're all basically trapped in tight quarters with a bunch of people, something's bound to go wrong, right?
no subject
Yeah, something tells me they didn't think the spacing issue all the way through. But I doubt comfort was a part of their plans. The whole thing's not easy for anyone.
no subject
[ What? That is totally a true statement. Too bad Piper doesn't remember how irritating Chris can be. Or does she? ]
no subject
Yeah, well, we won't talk about them. Since they'll get what they want anyway.
no subject
All right, not talking about them. ... still, you're not going to do it, right?
