[ the feed opens with a profile view of a sleeping winn. on his face, you can see an elaborate sharpie painted mustache (courtesy of opal) and from the ceiling right above him hangs a plastic flamingo in a coat and plastic sunglasses (courtesy of cisco).

to anyone who's been by to see him lately, it's a very familiar scene. but seconds into it something that hasn't happened in about two weeks begins to take place - movement. with a soft groan, winn reaches a sluggish hand to his face, shielding his eyes from the light. the hand then seems to decide that scratching above his upper lip is better use of its time and skills. slowly, his eyes blink open, struggling to adjust, to focus.

and then they do. on that flamingo.

he yelps, jumping up in bed, tearing the flamingo off its strings and throws it across the room, where he proceeds to stare at an off frame army of (four) flamingos. rubbing at his temples he mutters just loudly enough to be captured on film ] So Cisco's still here...

[ that seems to remind him of something, and with a sharp move his still sleepy mind can't seem to properly cope with, grabs at the communicator and misses. next attempt brings it into his hand and you finally get a close up of that glorious mustache.

he frowns into the camera ]

Of course it's rolling... [ his voice is raw, lips chapped, and he clears his throat in an attempt to bring back his usual volume ] Hi - Fleeters - if we're still calling ourselves that - Winn Schott here, back to the world of the conscious - if you recognize me check in and tell me how long I've been out - Kitty - you better still be here. [ because unless you call him within the next 10 seconds he's calling you as soon as he cuts this feed and if you're not there he will freak. he rubs at his painted mustache again, not quite realizing what's bothering him, and with a small tired smile fumbles to shut the broadcast off. ]

Just a catnap.

Don't you go making it sound adorable. [Snuggling in closer.]

I still feel like we have so much to catch up on, but then I look at you and I can't remember anything because I'm just so happy to have now.

Boyfriends get to make everything adorable whenever it benefits them, we won that one. How about a kittynap?

[ he kisses the top of her head and snuggles her as close as he can. ]

We have time. [ he hopes they have time. he has to believe they have time. at least if she disappears now he'll know where to look - that would make things easier. though, if she loses all memories of him there that...would make things much harder.

he doesn't want to think about that, nor does he want to think about all the things he hasn't told her yet, all the things he's not sure he wants to tell her, not until they have a viable way back to national city because they just don't matter here, so why give the atroma the drama they want? ]

Ugh, even more adorable. [She can't say this with any real disdain because she finds it utterly charming and cute.]

Time is good. I want all the time with you.

Me too. All of it. [ running his fingers through her hair. ] Wake me up in an hour, we'll take a walk and get coffee?

It's a deal. [Kissing his cheek and wrapping an arm around him protectively.]

Always nice doing business with you.

[ with a small smile he allows his eyes to flutter shut and he's asleep almost instantly. what! she really wore him out. ]

[One hour. She can do this. Totally not worried that it will be like that morning with the waffle.

She can't manage sleep for herself, but she also doesn't go anywhere, preferring to be beside him, hearing the soft sound of breathing and thumping of his heart. You better believe the moment an hour has passed she's kissing his cheeks.]

Kittynap wake up call.

[ there's a soft groan escaping his lips, look he's sleep deprived back home too now, it's like sleep deprivation squared. ]

Mmmhmm..five more minutes. [ he taps her shoulder lightly, as if he's turning off his alarm. ]

[She laughs lightly and nuzzles him, but falls quiet. Just glad to know he's still in there.]

[ he nuzzles back and opens his eyes after a minute or two. ]

Hi.

Hi, you. [Fingers lightly running through his hair.]

This is the best way to wake up.

[ looking into her smiling face, with her fingers in his hair. he wants this always. he leans in for a kiss. ]

[She kisses back readily, letting it linger.] How do you make me happy just by looking at me? [Simple. She can feel the love.]

Same way you do it?

Who me? [Smiling wider.] I love you. [Saying it with her lips and her eyes isn't overkill is it?]

I love you too.

[ if it is, he's guilty of the same. his hand wants in on that action too, so it joins in to stroke her cheek. ]

It's probably too soon to wear you out again. [And she doesn't want to leave the bed yet.] Tell me more about home.

Hmm...we got a cool new hangout spot. It's an alien bar, with actually really good bar food.

Yeah? They don't mind when really cute, smart, human guys hang out there?

I haven't had trouble yet, though that could be because all my friends are badasses.

[ all my friends, here's something he never used to say about home. ]

That helps. They better be good to you even if you go in alone for some cheese fries.

It's a place for them to relax and not feel different at, I don't think starting fights is what they're looking for.

I didn't realize your earth had so many aliens visiting.

Neither did I but turns out - I may actually end up being the last human on earth. [ he shrugs. he's joking but - yeah, you can't take someone being human for granted anymore. ]
