Temples
[Shirley's still frequenting the neutral worship area on occasion to pay her own respects, and she's starting to get a little homesick after praying a couple times - but that's not unusual. She's not completely sure what to make of Mor as a whole, but spending time in the neutral area is starting to make her curious about people here approach their faith so she's starting to switch it up a little now. Every couple days she's checking out a new temple, mostly just observing the people and listening to what they have to say for a while.]

Jobs Board
[She's not really in need of money right now, but there's still a certain satisfaction in helping people with their problems - especially here on Mor, where the little needs seem realer than the grand displays. Still, some of these jobs...]

Who could need thirty loaves of bread?

[Robin has been spending a surprising amount of time in those temples... so, naturally, when he spots Shirley come through the doors of one of them, he'll wave to get her attention (as appropriately as one can, in a temple).]

[Robin's successful at catching her eye, so Shirley heads straight for him with a smile.]

Robin! How have you been?

[aw, he smiles back. he's sitting on a bench at the edge of things, but he scoots over in case she would like to sit and join him.]

Very odd, as of late. This is a strange world.

[Shirley takes the seat, looking up at the temple's ceiling as she thinks.]

I wonder about the people here. We're not so different from them, are we?

[The main difference being that they know they have an audience.]

I suppose not. This side of the universe seems to have very few qualms setting people up for entertainment.

[he slouches a little, letting his back rest against the wall.]

Maybe it's good that they've got no idea.

I don't know. I always thought it would be better to know the truth...but I don't think just telling everyone right away would be best, either.

Me too. Someone was telling me that telling everyone might do more harm than good, especially if the Marsiva forced us to leave right after causing all that mayhem...

Even if we didn't leave right away, if they could find anyone who seemed...foreign, there might still be trouble for those people.

[She might be okay, and Robin too. But not everyone could pass for native around here even if they tried.]

Someone very hungry?

Oh!

[Shirley turns around quickly, startled.]

I'm sorry, I didn't see you there.

That's quite all right. I'm sorry for scaring you.

It does sound like an awful lot of bread, though. Doesn't it?

It's more bread than I've ever seen someone need, unless they were preparing to leave town...with many people. I wonder why anyone would need it here.

A very large picnic, maybe...or they have a large family.

Is the reward even worth giving up that much bread?

[Shirley squints at the board, trying to figure out what the rewards translates to, but meets limited success. Prices here are different than they were on the moons.]

...It should cover the cost of ingredients, I'm sure of that. Maybe more.

Guess it's not a bad deal, then.

Maybe. It would be a lot of work, but I don't know if anyone else would want to look at this one.

[Someone else was checking out the job board as well. At the mention of bread his stomach starts to rumble.] Mmhmm, fresh bread. I bet I could eat thirty loaves of fresh bread right now! So much better than that goop-y stuff! [Don't mind Vash as he drools just thinking about how much better the food is here than on his ship.]

[Shirley's briefly startled by the stranger's comment, but Vash's claim throws her off guard just enough to mute her reaction a bit.]

That much bread is a lot to eat by yourself.

What can I say!? I'm a hungry sort of guy! I mean just think about it! How nice it would be to have that much food just to yourself!

It's more than I could use on my own, but...

[Can people really eat all that bread by themselves? She doesn't want to think him a liar, though, and it'd be such a strange thing to lie about anyway.]

Hm, I suppose bread is a bit filling, but don't you think having so many of your favorite sandwiches, so many of them you could never eat them all, in front of you sounds fun? Just have to eat until you're stuffed full! All for you! Sounds pretty fun to me! More so if you have a friend to share with!

Well...a picnic would be nice. My friends and I had a few, at home.

[It's not impossible here either, although it doesn't feel the same.]

You know, I've only ever had a couple really good picnics before. And that was when I was really little. The weather on my planet was never overly nice for them. Maybe that's why they need all that bread! To have a giant sandwich picnic!!!!

The weather here isn't that bad, so maybe it is for something like that. Although there aren't many good places to have a picnic around here...
