I can only give you so many good ideas!

And that's why I'm the idea guy.

So what's the idea for getting the bullets?

It should be simple - we give them money, they give us ammo. But in case it's not -- that's why I brought you.

[ he nods towards his bag that's sitting to the side. ]

There's a vest there, bulletproof. Put it under your shirt. Just in case.

[He nods along until the vest. He is MORE than happy to put one on, but...] Are you wearing one?

Don't need one, I'll just hide behind you.

[ look, bulletproof materials are hard to come by and he uses them up on supersuits. mon-el is allergic to lead and only in this because he's doing winn a favor, he has to protect him. ]

That does not sound like a great plan. You should wear it. I'm fast. I can grab the bullets. [If he knows they're coming.]

Then you can grab them before they hit me. Look, you're the bigger target, and more than that - if something happens to you I can't pick you up and run, but you can totally do that for me. It's probably gonna be an unnecessary precaution anyway, we'll be fine.

[ trying to reassure himself. it's gonna be fine! neither one of them is going to get shot. this is not going to be a rerun of the livewire fiasco. ]

[He doesn't like it, but he finally reaches for the vest, stripping his shirt off.] If you get shot you are in so much trouble. [He doesn't think Kara would have been convinced of this, but then bullets bounce off of Kara and she doesn't always go for the smart play and Winn is smart and seems like he's thought about this, but he still feels low-key tricked into protecting himself more. It's not like humans aren't allergic or vulnerable to lead.]

[ winn absolutely doesn't want to get shot. he also absolutely doesn't want to see mon-el hurt again, especially as a result of his actions. if he were being smart he'd ask kara to come with him because as mentioned - bullets bounce off of her (though really that's another risk, that they've never bounced off of her and hit someone is really just good luck) - but he wants to prove that being smart and prepared is just as important. that he can do this. ]

If I get shot that'd be punishment enough.

[He gets everything in place and then puts his shirt back on.] Okay, all set. And no one is getting shot. [He is going to make sure of it.]

Totally down for that - the only shots we're getting are gonna come in glasses, after we're done.

[ landing procedure initiated, get your butt in the seat ]

[His butt gets his his seat.] If you weren't busy landing I'd high five that.

And a drink. I'm keeping a list. [Smiling.]

[ someone stop him, for the love of everything. it's like he's completely forgotten that a moment ago they were talking about the very real possibility of them facing fire soon. ]

Okay okay - wouldn't want coal in my stockings - I'm referencing Santa Clause, you - didn't get to do Christmas yet, did you?

I technically did, but I was here for it. [And not really celebrating anything with anyone at the time though he did go to Winn's New Years party.]

That didn't really count. [ they didn't know each other yet so the gift winn got him was very generic, he wasn't there on christmas morning to have pancakes and open presents with them on the tourist...he demands a do-over! ] We'll do it right this year.

[He gives his shoulder a squeeze.] I'd like that.

Me too. [ he smiles back at him. ] Okay - you ready to do this?

I am very ready for us to stay safe and unharmed. At least without additional harm. [Nodding to Winn's, you know, face.]
