I've been feeling a little left out with all you guys getting presents and fun rumors. Which is why I thought I'd add some of my own. Ahem.

[ Yuri dramatically clears his throat. ]

"Yuri's hair is insured for 1000 gald"

"Yuri blew up a casino once."

"Yuri's secret power is talking to bunnies."

"Yuri wore a bikini once. And won a swimsuit competition."

That should cover it. I guess now I have to do the requisite log off and hiding in my room in shame.

The point of a rumor is that you let the person decide what is true or not. If I told you, it stops being a rumor.

I get out plenty. Where I lived before was just different. And I come down firmly against rumors.

If the places you get out to didn't have sarcasm, then you clearly didn't.

Why, did rumors miss out on a date with you?

...Something like that. [More like a rumor turned out to be true and enough for his girlfriend to want to take time apart.]

Sounds more like the fault of not being honest than rumors.

[ Yuri is nothing if not brutally honest. ]

Especially when it comes to people whom you care about.

[ Yuri wouldn't care about rumors because no one here matters to him. If any of Brave Vesperia were here, he would be telling a different story. ]

I didn't lie. [He didn't mention it until it came up, but he hadn't intended to hide it either.]

But you probably didn't mention it either, right?

That's the same as a lie. You can't take shortcuts with people. Either you're all in or you're out.

So, everything I don't know about your life right now is a lie?

Except for my name, yeah.

Not that I make a habit of lying. But I don't care what people think of me unless they're people I care about. That's my commitment.

That doesn't even make sense. There should be time limits or cut offs for past information.

So you can feel better about yourself?

[ Time limits. Wow. ]

The past is always going to matter. No one is denying your chance to make the present work, but pretending the past is unimportant is not going to get you any fans either.

So you have time to share those things naturally instead of everything being a lie until it comes up.

And what's important to you might not be the same thing that's important to someone else finding out about you.

For someone who gets out a lot, I get the feeling you haven't spoken to a lot of people before. It should be pretty obvious what's important and what's not.

Especially when it comes to dating someone.
