I've been feeling a little left out with all you guys getting presents and fun rumors. Which is why I thought I'd add some of my own. Ahem.

[ Yuri dramatically clears his throat. ]

"Yuri's hair is insured for 1000 gald"

"Yuri blew up a casino once."

"Yuri's secret power is talking to bunnies."

"Yuri wore a bikini once. And won a swimsuit competition."

That should cover it. I guess now I have to do the requisite log off and hiding in my room in shame.

If you want to visit, I'm at the Bishop. I'm in the mood for crepes.

Not me. I'm boring. But I had decent company around at the time.

It's people with the stories you want to hear that say things like 'I'm boring'.

[ Hm. ]

I kidnapped a princess from a castle once.

She asked. And we were heading in the same direction anyway.

[ Yuri, that's not kidnapping. ]

When someone asks you to take them away, that's not kidnapping. That might actually be called rescuing.

They tried to arrest me for it. I say it still counts.

Probably would have killed me for it too, if I wasn't so unlucky.

Isn't usually you don't die because you're lucky?

Normally, sure. But I got roped into doing all this work for the Empire. I would have preferred a good decapitation compared to that.

[ Death > Serving the Empire in any way. His tone is clearly good-natured mockery, but there's a dark undertone to it. Some sins even Yuri hasn't forgotten. ]

And you never thought of just dumping the princess?

[ If Estelle had shown any sign of the corruption that pervaded the Upper Quarter, Yuri would have walked away (possibly. maybe. Yuri's reckless and he cares too deeply about life). ]

You'd understand it better if you met her. I suppose you could say she's not like other princesses.

_{[ It's said with a soft laugh. Kirk had only met a couple, but he
never spent to much time with them. Which was probably for the best as far
as intergalactic relations was concerned. ]}

I've met enough people who think they fit the part.

_{[ A bark this time, that might have been laughter and probably was. ]}

A people's princess then, is she?

Not at the start. She was sheltered. She didn't know much of people, though she read a lot. Had no idea where she wanted to go, who she wanted to be.

But I appreciate someone who starts at the bottom and does everything to climb on top. She's a princess in every sense of the word.

_{[ He listened to that and then a smile formed. ]}

She sounds like an amazing person.

Everyone's got a little amazing to them. Letting it out is the hard part.

Oh please, you're no Vulcan. Not to mention I'm sure that's bad for your blood pressure or something.

I have no idea what that is, but I balance out my testosterone levels by being relaxed about everything else.
