[Hey remember that whole Blood Donation network post that came up a few days ago? Well it's time for the actual blood drive! On the network, there will a message posted reminding everyone of the blood drive located on the SS Blue Fish - which is parked in a volcano in Mor. You know the volcano.]

[If your character is Donating, please fill out this form here! ]

[If your character is Volunteering - they'll have been sent a message asked to arrive before the blood drive start to set up and go over procedures. Only Volunteers with Lab Assistant Augment or a Medical background will be helping with drawing blood! Volunteers without that (or lab assistants not interested in drawing blood) can be assisting with greeting people, helping people with paperwork, checking on donor's well-being, handling payments, or manning the cookie table. There's lots to do!]

[Be warned that since it's a blood drive, sections of this post will Contain Content with Blood and Needles. If that stuff makes you uneasy and you wish to handwave your character's involvement with the blood drive- that's totally fine! Otherwise go, have some fun full of blood and cookies!]

COOKIE TABLE

[After you get through with your donation (or if you decided to try to sneak in), there's another table near the exit with a plate full of cookies and jugs of...well, it's actually just the orange flavored drink from the kitchen dispenser. Either way, it's up to the volunteers to make sure everyone who donated gets some of both.]

[This is also the spot where you pick up your payment, whether it be money, a voucher for free food of your choice later (within reason), or a pat on the head for being a good fleetmember! ]

[Sokka has given his lifeblood (probably while staring at the needle in abject terror and trying to BE A MAN!!! at the same time) and now he's reaping his reward. He's so going to try and sneak in more than his agreed price of 3.25 cookies.

He NEEDS them. ]

[ Steph has noticed, and so she doesn't feel at all bad snagging a cookie right out of his hand and shoving it in her mouth. ]

So were you planning to eat every cookie, or maybe leave some for everyone else? Who are also missing blood? [ It's teasing, not accusing, but seriously, dude. Not cool. ]

[WOW. WOW THAT'S SO RUDE. He just...stares as his cookie vanishes. ]

I would have left some.

[ Not your cookie. Her cookie now. ]

Uh-huh. Pretty sure your blood sugar hasn't taken that big a hit.

[He picks up another cookie and, looking directly at her, slowly licks it. ]

You can't tell that sort of thing. No one can.

[ She wrinkles her nose as he licks the cookie. Fine. You can keep that one. ]

If it did, you probably shouldn't have been donating in the first place...

[ You are forgetting the cookie patrol, Sokka. Or perhaps didn't notice her. ]

I think that's more than 3 cookies.

I was promised 3.25 cookies, so technically I'm just getting what I'm due.

Then you may have .25 of a fourth cookie.

[ She may be tiny, Sokka, but do you REALLY want to mess with the stern mama face?

[Sokka's sense of self preservation is much lower than most normal people. ]

[ Steffa clears her throat pointedly ]

I believe that's more than a quarter of a cookie.

[ Sokka, if you'd just asked rather than being sneaky... she might've let you get away with four. But sneaky boys do not get extra cookies. ]

[ Said cookie table is being watched over by one Stephanie Amell, as she is unable to donate her lifeblood and will instead donate her time.

She WILL make sure you don't take too many cookies.

Alternately, if you're not taking a cookie, she will make sure you take one and eat it before you leave. ]

[You know, he might have tried to skip the cookie table if Stephanie hadn't given him such a dirty look as he started to walk past. All right, fine. He'll sit down for a minute.]

So we do. It's nice to see how many people turned out.

I begin to think it may not be wise to decline. [Teasing. But, obediently, he picks up a cookie and starts munching on it.]

I only wish we had such technology where I am from. I have seen far too many perish from its lack.

Not wise in the least. I've dealt with more troublesome ruffians than you lot. [ She grins, though, in recognition of the teasing. ]

So do I. With healing magic we can save many people, but... there isn't always a healer, and sometimes even with healing, they've just lost too much...

Somehow, I do not doubt you.

Are you a healer, then? Perhaps you may bring the knowledge back to your people when you return.

[ Steph drops into a chair next to Steffa, sinking into it with a soft sigh. ]

Okay, so this feeling? This sucks a lot more than I remember. [ Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that she now has much more unpleasant memories associated with the light-headedness of losing blood. The last time she felt like this, she blacked out and tipped off a roof, she's pretty sure. ] Can I have another cookie, please?

[ Steph definitely doesn't look like she's doing well. Plus she's a fellow blonde Stephanie.

That definitely earns her a second cookie. ]

Absolutely. You all right?

[ She accepts the cookie with a smile and shoves half of it in her mouth before she answers. More sugar will definitely help this. ]

I'm fine. Just a little... [ She wobbles her free hand from side to side by way of explanation. Like that. ]

So are you donating too, or are you smart enough to keep your blood in your body?

That seems fair. You just lost a not-insignificant amount of blood.

[ And here she'd been hoping no one would ask... ]

Oh, no, I'm volunteering because I can't donate.

[mysunnydisposition]

[ She blinks, tilts her head. ] Why not?

[ Pause. ]

I'm sorry, that was a little rude. You don't have to tell me that if it's personal.
