Highly likely. Mr. Jarvis can you make you guys an excellent wedding cake.

and you know, Kara would go through the roof.

[ oh god, it's so weird to talk about, it's too real. ]

I know. [ he's gonna confess something now. ] She practically went through it when I told her I was thinking about it.

[pulcher]

[ hey, now. he pats his shoulder. ]

Winn, that's amazing. I'm happy for you. It's one hell of a good thing to consider.

[ definitely blushing now, and talking a little faster, more nervously ]

I mean, it's just a thought, there are still so many reasons not to - for starters we've only been together a year, and only under these extreme circumstances, we don't even live on the same ship - though I should transfer, the Twin Roses doesn't have an engineer, which means they don't have shields, which is very bad... [ but the tourist is the best home he's ever had and it's hard to give up on. ] and we could end up separated at any moment it's gonna be hard enough as boyfriend and girlfriend...but I just, I'm sick of living my life based on what could happen, you know? Kara, our team and me...we pulled so many impossible things in the last two years, I gotta believe we can pull this off too.

[pulcher]

Then believe it. Let me tell you something I've learned during my first round -you could be gone tomorrow. anyone could. even if you both met on your earth, there are many things that can happen but if you keep counting those you're gonna miss out.

[ he sighs a bit. ]

Like I did. I never even got to take Peggy on a date, never mind telling her how I felt and I've had to regret that for years. Being here, I've realized how stupid it was. If you love her and she loves you, that's the thing to focus about. The now matters more than anything that could and might happen. I keep thinking that whatever happens - it's better than regretting everything that didn't, believe me, I've been down that road. It ain't pleasant.

[ it's his turn to give steve's shoulder a squeeze. if he thought he'd like it, he'd go for a full on hug, but steve never seemed to be into those.

it feels wrong to say anything, right at this moment, so he doesn't. ]

All I'm sayin' -

[ he clears his throat, this is a self-reminder as much as it is a piece of advice. ]

If you wanna ask her, ask her when the time feels right. There isn't anyone in the world that knows what's gonna happen anyway.

[ he nods at that and gets back to his sewing with a smile. it's sound advice. ]

At least I keep her life interesting if she has to go ask you to delete a fake marriage proposal off my phone.

She doesn't let me do much. You know I keep moving her birthday present from one spot to another on the Starstruck?

[ he does feel very fortunate that kitty appreciates and encourages his over the top gestures. he needs to make them, needs to express to her how he feels about her. ]

[ honestly, the things she puts him through. ]

I'm tellin' you. It's why I keep moving it around. She's looking for it. If she finds it, I'll never be able to complete it, she'd say it's too much as it is.

[ that is. wow, and he thought he used to be bad with accepting deserving nice things and effort from people. ]

I only know the date from my time, I went over her file - wanted to find her address. I don't think she would have gave it away had I asked she's -

[ he shakes his head. ]

She hates fuss, even a bit of it. She did well with Christmas and Valentine's, though.

[ he cherishes things he normally wouldn't like because they're from kitty - like the box shaped locket he wears around his neck always, with her picture inside. not exactly his aesthetic - but it's from kitty and it makes it impossible for him to go longer than a shower without. ]
