[While the asteroids might be a new spin, the civilization on the Belt is a welcome change. Not that underwater and ring worlds aren't civilized or don't have civilization, but for a variety of reasons, this stop seems to hold more obvious and immediate opportunities to pick up work. Mostly, Natasha finds that work in the form of tending bar. With so many clubs, restaurants and pubs around, it's not all that hard for Natasha to talk herself into jobs. Nothing long term—a night here covering when the normal bartender is out sick, two days there while a particularly popular band is playing and the crowd is bigger than normal.

More nights than not, where Natasha works, Barnes is at the door or by the stage, keeping an eye on the crowd, quietly providing extra muscle while Natasha serves drinks. They hadn't exactly planned it that way, but with both of them looking for work in the same kinds of places, some how they seem to have fallen into step.

For the most part, she doesn't try to get in on the singing action. That is clearly covered. She seems to know her way around behind the bar, though. Even if the exact liquor are unfamiliar, they're not so alien she can't figure out what to do with them. And she's a quick learner.

If she sees someone she knows, she's quick to start up a conversation.]

[ Elena is in the bar to listen to the live music (it's one of her favorite things about this astroid) and while she's long grown out of getting drunk (especially a system she doesn't know) she does like to have a drink every now and then. She slides up to the bar and takes a seat, smiling at the redhead behind the bar. ]

Hey, when you get a chance can I get a scotch on the rocks. [ it's a taste she acquired while she was a vampire and one she held onto through dating Damon.]

[ Yuri takes one look at expensive asteroids and immediately stays away. He has no patience for that kind of lifestyle and he couldn't see himself getting a job there. But a mining job sounds like a good way. So he finds himself on Vingloria, doing the heavy lifting. Moving carts of rocks around, hacking away with a pick axe. It was like being home if the Lower Quarter lived in a cave.

Of course, just like the Lower Quarter, there's all kinds of trash hanging around. Yuri accidentally trips up a man who seemed to be shaking down a tourist for money. ]

Whoops. My leg slipped.

[ Yuri might need help, considering there are three other hulking men around and he has no weapon. The tourist quickly scuttles off. ]

[ His reputation spread as a no-nonsense fighter who is quick on his feet and less likely to leave dead bodies around. After a few offers, Yuri finally relents, willing to escort a few travelers and businessmen from point A to point B.

However they hand him a gun and Yuri is completely clueless. He continues to turn it over in his hands. The trigger is clear enough, but he has no idea of the specifics. Barbos had a firearm but it had been powered by blastia. ]

[The job's a pretty straightforward one: Keep the clients safe from robbers, looters, bandits, and whatever else they might come across. If they succeed, the pay's worth the hassle. Or so they're told. They're going from one side of the asteroid to a more settled area a couple hours journey away. The group is traveling by ATV, one made for hauling loads, so it's not made for speed. Hence the need for security.

Fie was recruited a few hours prior, once the men saw her handle an attempted mugging of her person. Targeting young women is a low move, anyway. It was a quick discussion and subsequent negotiation prior to her signing on, and she wordless accompanied them once they explained they wanted at least one more guard. So here they are, preparing to leave on their trek, when Fie spots the other guy, holding the gun like it just sprouted wings.

Keeping her thoughts to herself (for now), the short, silver haired girl quietly walks over and plucks it from his grasp. With one swift motion, she's got it cocked and aimed, pausing only to make sure he's watching before firing a shot into a pile of rocks a a dozen yards away.]

It's a blaster type. Wait until you see the gage at the top turn green before firing again. This model's made for rapid firing over power, so it won't take long at all.

[She casually holds out out to him by the barrel, a glimpse of her own weapon possible in the holster at her waist. If he gets a good enough look, Yuri might be able to see it's a combination blade and firearm.]

[ it might take you a moment when you come upon him, judging by appearances. Cisco will spend most of his time looking more like a rock-star groupie than a rock star - torn jeans, a t-shirt with the logo of some alien band, heavy boots, sunglasses and -- a headband, of all things.

he'd have his karaoke machine with him, portable these days and you may find him earning money by, well - doing karaoke sessions in the middle of the street! he'd focus on the busy streets of Telluria - what! the tips are kinder! You can toss a few coins into the little hat! the sign by it will read CISCO DISCO, RISING STAR. ]

you might have searched for it or maybe you just stumbled upon it - colored eggs! each one engineered from what appears to be plastic of some sort. no chocolate, alas. but they'll be colorful! there are prizes, too. each one contains a little self-made plastic toy of a sort, usually shaped like an animal.

[ people call them twins, and they prove, yet again, that they at least absolutely have that psychic link people attribute to those, because winn has been earning his keep in much the same way. okay, more singing at bars and less at street corners, but it's the same idea. he comes across cisco in the street, similarly dressed in a leather jacket, t-shirt and jeans. no headband, but then, he's not opposed to putting one on if cisco's got a spare.

[ at the beginning, it's really like any other planet. steve might be over-enthusiastic about this one, having disliked the previous one. One cannot dismiss the advantages of having solid ground beneath ones feet. you might catch him eyeing the different art supplies. though he'll make a face at the selection offered on Telluria or more accurately, at the prices ("oh come on, it's highway robbery!!" ).

However, as the days pass his absence will be evident. only, he's not actually absent. a glitch slips into place after Easter Sunday leaving him, well, smaller. much smaller; one might even say skinny.

it's quite fine if it takes a moment for the chips to fall into place and for recognition to strike. the dust in the air ( building inside asteroids, honestly ) will no longer agree with him and steve won't spend too much outside. instead, you could find him in the various art exhibitions with a sketchbook, drawing various statues and decorations or simply observing the different pieces. ]

[Luckily, John won't be weirded out by tiny Steve, because he hasn't actually met the larger one yet. He's been lurking around the edges of the art scene, too, mostly doing that or exploring the various asteroids. This is all still pretty weird and new to him, but it's cool even so, he's having fun exploring new places. Art, at least, is familiar-- even if the subjects are less so. And sketchbooks are cheap, thankfully, so John can be found inside those exhibitions as well, sketching away. When he notices there's someone else doing much the same, he wanders over and gestures to the other side of the room.]

[ hey, a guy's gotta make a living! you might have just stepped in for a drink, but the loud music from the little stage is going to draw your attention one way or another. the sound quality coming out of the now portable winsco soundweaver 9001 is top notch, as good a backup as it gets without having a live band backing him up, and the singer - one winn schott, sporting an uncharacteristic look including a leather jacket, ripped jeans, and copious amounts of eyeliner - is holding his own impressively well with covers of songs like I love rock n' roll by the arrows, it's my life by bon jovi, cryin' by aerosmith and so on. buy a star in the making a drink? ]

A. Pet Rocks

[Tina had never had a pet before. Her parents had come up with excuses as to why they couldn't have a dog or a cat- hygiene concerns because they lived above the restaurant, space issues, and so on- but it didn't occur to her until she was older that they were probably too poor to afford one. And the one time Gene had been given a fish to prove he was responsible, it had ended badly. So Tina had never bothered asking for one.

Here, though, it was possible to get a pet, but she didn't want to start off too big. Which is how she found herself shopping for... a pet rock.]

Maybe this isn't that exciting after all...


B. Straws

[Tina couldn't really afford to eat at any of the fancier restaurants in this system, but she did treat herself to some takeout. As she walked down the street, she smiled quietly to herself and began "playing" the lid of her drink cup, like she and Louise used to do when Gene sang his burgers n' fries song. When she paused to let a crowd past, she spaced out and just stood there, playing...

... and a few people around her began handing her credits, some of them giving her pitying looks.]

[Billy's so overwhelmingly relieved to be able to stretch his legs that he's perhaps getting a little...reckless. He grins.]

After being held for a few nights in a Meston jail cell, Jack will be doing a bit of pickpocketing to get some spending money. When he's got enough, he'll get some fancy new duds, get his hair did just right, and visit one of Telluria's swankiest casinos. There, he will chance upon a smuggling job offered by some underworld types: his mission is to transport cargo from Vingloria to Telluria! Easy money!

Unfortunately, this cargo turns out to be a crew of hapless slaves, trafficked from Vingloria to Telluria where they will serve as nannies, maids, and in other low-status positions.

So naturally he's going to find a way of doing this a) while setting the slaves free and b) still getting paid. He is going to deeply piss off an organized crime syndicate in the process. It's just like home.

[ cue kate bishop, dressed to work, and with her bow strapped to her back. it was just dumb luck that she earlier managed to save the pirate in the nick of time before his legs got broken, and it's dumb altruism that convinces her to stay on for the rest of the right. because futz trafficking.

she pushes her aviators up onto her head and eyes the dingy back-street -- it's not half as nice as the rest of telluria. ]

a. just like the white winged dove sings a song

[Finally, Misty's encyclopedic knowledge of Stevie Nicks is earning her some money. Slowly, at first, as she starts simply by playing some shamisen covers in local restaurants and on small stages - even sometimes in the street. Admittedly, there are more songs she knows how to sing than how to play, as she has nowhere near the skills of Makie, but it’s new enough and unusual enough to attract a decent amount of attention. Any friend that wants to join in with their own music or instruments is greeted with a big smile. Of course they can play with her! The important part, after all, is the music itself. The money’s mostly a nice bonus.

(And naturally, she is effusive in both her praise of Stevie and of Makie for teaching her, when people ask. Sorry, Makie, you might catch her bragging about you to strangers.)]

[When she’s not performing herself, Misty spends a lot of nights at various concert venues, exploring everywhere from tiny coffee shops on Meston to giant concert halls on Telluria to “underground” dance halls on Vingloria. Though her look more Bohemian than punk or glam, she still fits in easily with the crowds here, rocking out and generally having the time of her life. If she recognizes anyone from the fleet, she’s quick to pull them into dancing with her. Or maybe she’s already dragged you along with her.]


c. i run around like a spirit in flight
[Other times, Misty can be found in the nice parks and gardens on Meston, exploring the glowing forests and lakes. On this particular evening, as she walks through an orchard, vaguely wondering if these luminescent fruits are safe to eat, she hears a tiny, distressed squeaking noise coming from nearby. She follows the sound to the base of one of the trees where a little bat lies on its back with one wing looking decidedly out of place. Misty gasps in sympathy and immediately crouches down beside the bat to get a better look.]

You poor sweet thing.

[Gently, oh so gently, she scoops it up and hums softly to calm it down. Now, though, she’s got to figure out what to do. She’s got the potions to help it, but they’re all the way back on the Paisley. So she’s very relieved when she sees another member of the fleet come walking by. She calls out:]

Makie isn't going to stop or interrupt said conversations because she's gotten slightly better at the self deprecation thing. But she is going to give Misty her spotlight and retire away to sit on a stage corner, fingers running through her strings experimentally with her face ducked away. She's here to jam play with friends, she'd rather not talk to the crowds, too.]

[As with most systems, she spends the first few days exploring everything in this new system. Being cooped up on the ships in the interim between planets always makes her feel restless. The first asteroid she decides to visit is Meston; not outrageously expensive, but not too seedy, either. She sticks to the urban area for the most part, and it's something she enjoys a great deal. The emphasis on music and art are both welcome, even if rock isn't her favorite genre by any means. Of course, as much as she enjoys it, there are downsides.

The first major one comes when she happens to swear in public a bit too loudly and gains the attention of the local law enforcement. As such, passerby might notice her sprinting through a busy city street while being pursued by a member of the aforementioned law enforcement. Interestingly, every time he gets close, he seems to stop as if hitting an invisible wall. Eventually, she finds somewhere to duck out of sight to catch her breath... And that's when she realizes there's someone else near her. One more breath, and then:]

[Of course, most of her time in this system will be spent enjoying various music related activities. She frequently browses through any sheet music she can find in the shops she comes across, stops in the street to listen to the people playing instruments, and visits the venues where more live music is played. It's what she loves; she can't remember the last time a system suited her tastes this much, and it's clear in how happy she looks at any of these places, a contrast to her normal demeanor.

Predictably, in addition to enjoying the music others play, she spends time performing herself. She's classically trained on the piano, and she can be found playing in that style to any crowd who seems receptive to something that's different than the rock music they're used to.]

[ Elena is in one of the venues listening to music and sipping at a scotch. She's been waitressing enough that she's got the money to enjoy herself a little bit. Her attention is on the stage and the performer but when she takes a break, Elena notices the other people in the room and she recognizes one of the girls that she's spoken to on video chat. She smiles and waves then moves closer. ]

Hey, Opal, right? I'm Elena. We've spoken on the network. We played truth or dare.

Erik Lehnsherr | OTA

[The cities are interesting, but don't hold much long term appeal for Erik. He's more focused on resources. He eventually begins to frequent one of the middling asteroids with a mining operation, with enough civilisation that he's not too worried about getting stabbed for not being a local. Erik gets into the work the same way the others do - with a pickaxe, a cart, and a shovel. It's similar enough to the steel factory he used to work in that he earns his keep easily.

Erik often seeks out the mineral compound that can be converted into plant fodder, though he also frequents the metal mines. And if his cart seems to move easily even when piled high with rocks, well, he's allowed to cheat once in a while.]

[When not working, Erik spends his more idle time on the less urban asteroid. While the fashion in this asteroid belt isn't quite something he would choose himself, he does go shopping, and soon enough it's easy to bump into him wearing a more simple black leather jacket. He's always been good at adapting to local styles. On some evenings he visits a bar on the outskirts of the city, and has a drink overlooking the farmland beyond.]

c. sculpting

[On one of his rare visits to Telluria, an artist happened to notice Erik's metal skills on the street. After much pleading and the promise of a handsome paycheck, Erik now finds himself elongating and posing a steel sculpture under the direction of the artist. The problem is, the artist keeps changing his mind.

Anyone passing this particular open art space will find an increasingly irritated Erik moving his hands over the sculpture, rearranging the piece yet again to the artist's whims.]

You said you just wanted the top piece fixed. Make up your mind, because this is the last change I'll do for you.

When would he allow the man to mould it into his own way? The clay was fascinating to Ardyn, who was now watching at a closer distance to see what the final product would be.]

A: Accidental Vogue

[There are certain things Velvet is accustomed to. One of them is people commenting on her clothes. Remarks about the amount of skin she's showing. Questions about whether or not she's cold. She shrugs them off pretty easily at this point.

What she's not used to is compliments. Especially the amount she gets when she starts exploring this particular system. "Awesome threads," people say. "Are you in a band," they ask, "Where did you get your clothes?"

Her response to this last inquiry is irate and flat to cover for the bemused awkwardness she feels.]

I stole them. From a prison.

[She expects that response to turn people off, but instead they seem to think it's great. Wow, so edgy, how exciting.

If she thought being the Lord of Calamity was bad, being a fashion icon is worse.

And if you see any store stocking torn shirts that reveal a little too much underboob, or bandages for wrapping your various appendages in for just a little extra punk aesthetic it's not her fault. Really.

If you run into her she's probably somewhere trying her best to ignore anything having to do with fashion or music. Any local who says anything about her clothes gets a hard glare. She just wants to look for possible replacement weapons and find probably sketchy ways of earning money in peace.]

[Ezri hasn't dabbled much since being joined. Jadzia had practiced, when the memory block came off, but Ezri only gave Joran's memories any time after she had needed him. Since then, she made a concentrated effort not to draw on any of his memories, hadn't considered the Rite of Emergence again, and he hadn't haunted her dreams.

But she finds a piano as she's exploring and can't help herself, her hands finding the familiar positions and starting to play the same song Joran had played in her dreams, kind of melancholy, soft. It wasn't the song he'd been working on before his death, she won't let her memories of the murders surface. It's much like a ballad. And despite her hatred of Joran, a part of her regrets she can't afford the instrument. She could earn a bit though, they would be there long enough.

Instead, for the time being, she goes to find some new clothes. The style is... definitely not quite like what she's used to from New Sydney or Bajor but extra clothes cannot hurt here, so she opts to pick out a couple semi-long dresses, jeans, and tee-shirts.

From that point, she just explores and probably isn't that hard to spot if anyone recognizes those Trill spots.]

[Ardyn found himself following the soft sound of the piano music as soon as he arrived in this part of the planet. It was faintly melancholy but had so much soul behind it all. He did appreciate good music and piano music was one of his hidden weaknesses.]

[This little adventure might not be the 'beautiful new civilizaton' Billy imagined, but it's still bright with possibility. Unfortunately, he requires funds to fulfill his dreams, and he hasn't had time to build a fund yet.

First stop: employment. He gravitates toward an ATV repair shop on Vingloria, starting with hood-polishing and eventually doing the real job. He's decent enough at it to check on anyone's vehicle before they head out---

And, of course, he volunteers himself for testing and demonstrations. He's usually seen as a blue blur outside the shop, zooming by and then taking notes on repairs. Those ridiculous races appeal to him, but this is close enough for now.]

[When Billy finally starts to earn his keep, his first priority is clothing. The black leather and ripped jeans call up unpleasant memories, so he sticks to the least-ripped pair he can find and any band shirt with a splash of blue.

His second purchase is a simple acoustic guitar. He'd had one at home, and if music is all the rage here...he might as well try it, right? He occasionally visits the other asteroids to play, his style influenced more by bluegrass than anything else. Sentimental, and voiceless---he knows very well he can't sing, so for once he lets his fingers do the talking, painting the picture of green pastures and vivid sunrises.

[Ezri comes across Billy and his playing on accident, the music drawing her attention and making the Trill stop in her tracks. It's only thanks to years of associating with humans and working with Starfleet that she recognizes the music. Jadzia and herself, and Joran, had ever ventured towards plucked string instruments, limiting themselves to piano mostly, but she can still admire the skill and recognize the notes.]

[Freyja's managed to pull together a pretty cute outfit by now and to match the big musical style of the system, she's spent quite a bit of time listening to her music player and deliberating on what kind of thing she wanted to sing for everyone. Fire Bomber seemed like a neat deal, so here she is, getting ready to belt it out on a busy corner. Considering that she's using headphones for the music, the sound coming out of her music player is rather tinny (and barely heard anyway amongst the crowd anyway), but she's still belting out Ikenai Borderline.]

I fell in love when I gazed at his eyes, so now I can’t get him out of my mind, I wanna get to know more about him. Boy, I will do anything~!

Now there are questions poppin’ left and right, asking the same thing: “How can he be mine?” I wanna get further to the unknown, as my passion for him burns, ohhh~

A: Closed to the Caprine

[As promised, one moment Rip is aboard the Marsiva, and the next, there's confetti and some brand of dark-colored cream nearby. How brilliant.

Of course the comparisons begin immediately: the layout of this bridge versus the one he knows so well, the difference in size, the apparent lack of any form of AI. It's an entirely too compact space for Rip's liking, but since he's been given every indication that he's stuck here for the duration, there's really nothing to do but get used to it.

Which is a thought he holds onto well enough, until he takes a look around the kitchen. Things start to click when he steps into that room in particular, and when it dawns on him as to why? He's somewhat less than thrilled.

...And perhaps debating the merits of issuing a shipwide apology now; someone must have a sense of humor, since the ship's brand new cook is a man who has gotten most of his food from a synthetic replicator for the past decade and a half.]


B: Meston

[Honestly, there's no real reason why Rip opts for Meston first; his goal is really more to get off of the ship than anything else, and Meston is close enough to serve that purpose. Not that the choice ends up going well for him, exactly--less than a day there, and circumstances wind up with him being sent to jail for something entirely pointless that also wasn't his fault, he wasn't even standing in the queue when someone decided they just had to cut in first.

Yes, he's having a great first few days as part of this new little fleet.

Once he's, ah, been liberated from jail in some form or fashion, Rip still sticks around--although maybe in a less security-filled area if he can manage it. One of the many problems he's discovering from being so entirely new is that he's got absolutely no credits to his name, which makes it rather hard to do--well. Anything. But there is work to be had, and manual labor tends to be a good way to keep one's head down and unnoticed--which is how he winds up playing delivery boy for a bit, loading and unloading transports, and getting a better feel for the area.]

C: Telluria

[It takes a bit for Rip to be happy with the number of credits he's made, but once he is? The manual labor is off, thanks. He might be stronger than he looks, but he's still, as someone from home once put it, "a skinny little Englishman," and would rather be spending his time on other endeavors.

Now, just what those things might prove to be, he truly has no idea. But he moves on to Telluria regardless, having caught glimpses of the bustling city at times during his former employment. It really is a different atmosphere entirely, much more lively and raucous--and pricey, as Rip is quick to work out. It's quite alright though; he doesn't necessarily plan to stay long.

He's gotten curious, however--not necessarily by the sights, but the sounds. While he's not typically a man of indulgence, Rip has long enjoyed assorted musical endeavors from throughout time. This place, it would seem, is in the midst of it's own rock and roll awakening. It's rather fascinating, especially as bands seem to gathered up almost at random to suddenly put on performances.

Though not all of it is to his particular tastes, Rip does make it a point to take in a few shows, be they put on by locals or apparent members of the fleet, many of whom seem ready to flock to one stage or another. Really, it's entirely different from how Rip would typically handle himself on some excursion in space and time, as he's been trained to make as minimal an impact as possible.

Get there, get the task done, set the timeline right and go.

It really is going to take time to wrap his head around all of this--and after so long spent with the Legends, that really is saying quite a lot.]

[If anyone has a sense of humor, it has to be the one that chooses their augments and then sticks them all on the Caprine. Rip Hunter as the cook and the living war sword, Doudanuki Masakuni, as the communications officer. Doudanuki's idea of communications usually came at the end of his blade or his fist, and there was little else he cared for.

Except for food.

And while the food here isn't exactly cutting edge cuisine, Doudanuki is a tsukumogami so he really doesn't care what his food is as long as it goes in his mouth. Which is why he's in the kitchen when Rip wanders in, rummaging for whatever flavored kelp or bit of leftover water monster meat he brought back from their last planet is still in their commissary.

He sticks a piece of dried eel meat in his mouth then glances up at the sound of someone entering. Then decides that, as communications officers, he has to be the one to give the bright and eager welcome message to the newcomer!]

Telluria/Vingloria: Booze shopping

[Crowley can be found wandering into bars of various caliber- trying out the offered booze. Oddly enough, he can even be found in some of the real dives, because you never quite know where you'll find just the right kind of taste you need. And taste he is, he doesn't seem to be on a bender- he's definitely trying the booze, and if he finds something he likes, he'll go to haggle with the barkeep for some stock of his own.

If you're nearby, he might even offer you up a glass of something.]

What does that taste like to you? Three adjectives or less.


Little evils

[Once in a while, Crowley likes to indulge in art. He knew some of the greats, after all. Especially Da Vinci. He was bloody brilliant. As such, the demon can be found at some of the higher end museums and art exhibits, walking quietly amongst the exhibits, occasionally pausing to look at something with a tilted head.

...Of course, he's still Crowley, and after a while he gets bored and starts gluing coins to the floor, finding a chair and sitting to watch people struggle to pick it up. With great amusement. He'll sure be sniggering to himself. ]


Telluria: Fancy views (closed to Felix)

[Largely as a way to make up for the fact his...erm Felix has been cooped up on the Iskaulit for far too long, Crowley decided to get one of the best places of lodgings he could. It really does have quite the stunning view of the belt, well worth the price. Besides, he enjoys having fancier places to stay just as much as Felix does- it suits them both well.]

You know, I'm rather impressed with this one. So. What do you fancy doing, now you're in a star system you can move around in?

[ Waitressing isn't something that's new to Elena. She's done it for a number of parties in a pinch as well as at the Mystic Grill from time to time. It's also not something she's incredibly familiar with so there might be a bit of a learning curve. However, it's a quick way to make money even if it's not what she'd like to do. Besides, this system seems far more interested in entertainment rather than medical. She can be found in one of the upscale restuarants dressed in the restaurant's uniform. She's had lots of practice being charming at parties so 'hosting' a few tables isn't difficult. She'll end up making a good deal of money]

[ With all of her newfound money, Elena is going to do some shopping that will make Caroline Forbes (Salvatore) happy. Her lodging leaves a lot to be desired (she might be a little spoiled there having spent so much time in the Salvatore mansion), but there's a wide variety of things to be bought as well as foods to be tasted. Often, once she's done with her shift at the restaurant, she goes to listen to some of the music that this place seems to have plenty of. She also wanders through the art exhibits. This place reminds her a little of the trip to New York City (sans all the blood plus her humanity) she and Damon had made. This is a more pleasant trip all together.]

Meston

[ Eventually, Elena will make her way to Meston. The city is fine, but she likes having some space to breathe and she can't pass up the chance to see all sorts of new wildlife and fauna (the bioluminescent plants are fascinating). There she'll make a trip to the hospital to talk to one of the doctors about their medical technology. She's even going to volunteer to help out and learn what she can from them. When she's not at the hospital, she'll be wandering some of the wildlife areas to gather a few plants and samples of things to look at under a microscope and study back on ship. She'll also take advantage of the quiet and peace to sit under a tree and compose an entry in her journal for Caroline and Bonnie]

[ Prior to this star system, Stefan would've never envisioned himself playing to a crowd, let alone showing off his skills on an electric guitar. That's best suited for someone else. But his crew had wanted to perform together, and every great pop idol group needs a guitarist. He'd even let Freyja and Asuna pick out what he would wear: a black linen blazer, dark-washed jeans, and a bright green v-necked shirt that matches Freyja's dress. He's also got dozens of glowing neon bracelets around both arms; they seem to shimmer as he moves. This time, Stefan's been given a solo as he reluctantly takes the stage – and as he stares out into the crowd, he spies a familiar face.

That's right. He's not alone anymore. He hasn't given Elena his performing schedule, let alone any indication that this would be his job (because truthfully it embarrasses him), but if she had made it all the way down here?

Well. He would give her a show she would remember. Even if he was stuck bopping along to upbeat, catchy Japanese pop this time, courtesy of Freyja's Walküre background. The augments translate everything, so it's not as if the meaning is ever at a loss. No, it's just not the music he ever saw himself performing.

But as soon as the show ends and he's free to go? He rushes over to the stage door and reaches for her hand. ] Hey. Didn't think I'd see you here.

<sub>[ James T Kirk was a man of many talents, but one few expected was the he could sing. He would hardly call himself rock star level, or think he could make a living off it - he would have tried that long ago if he could have. But he had always been passable at the karaoke contests back home on Earth, and no one had ever walked away with their ears bleeding, so why not give it a try? That it came with the added bonus of getting him free drinks at the bars along with being paid was just a nice coincidence.

It certainly helped that his musical tastes went well with the atmosphere of most of these clubs. He took the stage in his leather and his his jeans, winking to the crowd and flashing that trademarked charm. He took up the mic, quiet for a moment as he waited for the music, and then he sang..

What? You didn't think he got on the good side of all those aliens with just a smile, did you? ]</sub>

Adrenaline Rush

Kirk was naturally drawn to the sport, both to watch and to participate. He was not crazy enough to try and do anything with the flaming hoops or the wild jumps - Bones and Beverly would kill him if he didn't do it himself - but he was more than delighted to let loose and speed across the landscapes. He loved the rush, reminding him of being on his motorcycle back on Earth, tearing through the dusty landscape of the farmlands, his heart pounding in his chest (and not being chased by something with teeth or the cops for once).

He tries to keep to the more well established territories, but sometimes he just can't help himself, and he goes into the less well protected areas. That's where he can really let loose. Hope you're aware of your surroundings though, because with Kirk going so fast, getting out of the way isn't as easy as it sounds. Why might be why he's leaping over you instead.

<sub>[ This place wasn't precisely his style - a bit to dark, but it had more than enough for him to build up a proper closet and finally get rid of all those easily tearing shirts. He had dumped most of them off when they landed (surprisingly, quite a few people had wanted them, so all's well that ends well on that). But he was absolutely taking the opportunity to bulk up on his black shirts, a couple leather jackets, boots, jeans - building his style out the bits and pieces of this world.

B - Ride till we die

[ Unfortunately, someone has pointed out that there are ATVs, and so Luna has taken it upon herself to head over in that general direction. She's currently looking them over and it's clear she's very much thinking of renting one. She has only ever driven twice in her twenty four years of life, and both of those times had been on the same evening and had involved escaping disaster. This little jaunt probably isn't going to end well... doubly unfortunate, is that you, good sir or madam, have caught her attention. She smiles over in your direction. ]

[ As the evening closes in, it's a strange feeling not to have to find shelter from the daemons who would be prowling about in her world. Instead, she finds herself strolling down the streets until she finds a lovely little coffee shop that she quickly enters and situates herself at. She's sipping at some sort of iced coffee beverage, intently both watching and listening to the small band playing on the quaint little stage.

Despite her current interest in the musicians on stage, she's not against conversation either, should you decide to join her. Come grab some coffee or tea and chat it up! ]

No rather, he seems to be shopping for clothes and music, as the culture of this system is right up his alley, and he's a bit in short supply for clothes since those aging augments made him have a bit of a growth spurt. So he's stocking up on as much new clothing as he can. This probably even his first trip, as he's already wearing something to help him blend in.

Or you might find him in a music store, where he's going through each of the bestselling albums and stocking up on whatever ones he likes the sound of. Because yeah, even he's sick of listening to the same Queen album a thousand times.]

[B. Vingloria - Don't Shoot the Medic]

[ Of course, he still needs money to pay for his shopping spree. So he picks up a numerous amount of odd jobs throughout the system (also cheating at cards. That's where most of the money is coming from).

But he found the most lucrative work with the races here. He had no interest in racing or being in the ATVs, but there was no denying these races left a high demand for medics, with very few medics willing to be in such a dangerous place. So he's easy to find on the sidelines, bandaging up racers that managed to injure themselves while pulling some stunt. He doesn't seem the least bit concerned that he's practically surrounded by criminals as he works.]

In the interest of staying busy and experiencing more than just the fancy eateries of Telluria, Chekov finds other ways to make a few credits. Picking bioluminescent plants, raking sand gardens, selling shirts at a concert venue--he's everywhere! Good luck not running into him.]

Pavel largely ignores the clothes that the system has to offer since the ship-provided jumpsuits are perfectly fine (someone dress him, please), but he's quite eager to stock up on the vodka and root vegetables that are so abundant in the system. [Being assigned the cook to the First Breath has left Ignis a lot of time to experiment with the protein, flavored and not, that the ships seem to have in abundance. However, there is nothing quite like having fresh ingredients on hand to use in new recipes. As it is, the first place he goes once they enter the asteroid belt is the more natural looking one as he figures it will have the best ingredients and he can discuss with the sellers the nature of the food stuff.

In fact, he is calmly discussing the farming techniques that are implemented when someone bumps into him, knocking him into the stand.]

Forgive me. I seem to have been in your way. It must be a matter of extreme importance.

[Nightlife is New]

[Though Ignis isn't a huge visitor of the bar on the Fleet or even one to drink much at all back on Eos, he's not sure what to do with himself. He's felt a little out of sorts since receiving some bad news. However, he does know that watering holes are the perfect spot to obtain information about local goings on.

He feels a little out of place as he enters, but the laidback atmosphere and the dim lighting of the area help him to relax. He casually walks up to the bar and orders a drink, slowly tasting it to find out the different flavors used to craft it while observing the others in the area.

A particularly amorous group of young people are in the middle of the dance floor, causing a scene.]

I suppose that's one way to go about it all.

Hunting is a Way of Life

[After doing a few of the "tourist" things, Ignis heads off to find some way to spend his time that doesn't leave him cramped in a kitchen. He needs to let off steam. And what better way to do that than lending a hand to the locals in hunting down predators.

He might even find something to use in a recipe or two. Who knows.

He was told by the man who gave him his job that he would find his partner waiting by the head of the biggest cave on the asteroid, so he heads there and clears his throat to grab his new companion's attention.]

The dance floor hadn't escaped the Chancellor's eye, as he walked past it and ordered a drink at the bar. His amber eyes always alert spotted the figure of Ignis looking as stiff as always. Did the guy ever relax and let his hair down? Of course not.]

Ignis! Good to see you again. What is your poison?

[He waved to the bartender and ordered himself a clear liquid in a glass, which he was told was a form of vodka.]

[The relationships between humans and their pets has always fascinated Castiel to some extent. It's an odd thing, how some people get so protective -- overly so sometimes -- of the creatures they've claimed as 'theirs.' It's never been something he's actively investigated, but it comes to the forefront again when he sees these pet rocks for sale. (Usually, his time is better spent investigating actual world-ending things, rather than human-pet relationship quirks.)

But then this rock somehow ended up in his hand and he somehow ended up buying it, which somehow led to him sitting in a restaurant with a cup of coffee and a pet rock on the table. He's a patient being, willing and ready to wait as long as it takes to see what all this is about.

Or at least see it move, as advertised.

He'll be there for hours, until eventually the waitstaff makes him either leave or order food. He might be found simply staring at the rock, chin in hand, or quietly arguing with someone about just ordering another cup of coffee.]

B
[Cas is new to the fleet and so, he discovers that credits are actually a thing he needs. Fortunately, he actually has a little bit of recent experience in retail and customer service. He lands a job in a casual restaurant, bussing tables and decidedly not taking orders, though he'll drop a drink off here and there.

About halfway through his shift, though, he starts feeling rundown. He had expected this, and he'd had a few episodes here and there. It's not bad -- definitely not as bad as he expected -- but it's enough to slow him down.

Perhaps he refills your water, or brings you a drink -- or wobbles a bit and uses the corner of your table to find a stable bit of support for a moment.]

[Solace seems a long time ago, but apparently people communicate between trade hubs. Who knew? Of course that would happen, but somehow correlating that with the guys he'd tried to fleece in Solace had completely slipped McCoy's mind. It takes about half a second for what's said to him to register and he's damned lucky he's in a crowded place.

He just manages to slip away; the first person he finds attached to the Fleet might suddenly find themselves plus one doctor, awkward greeting and all. Hey, how ya doin'? is nice and generic, right?

[Meston's weird. Very straight-laced. Lots of weird rules.

You see where this is going, right? Yeah, McCoy broke a dumb rule -- something about disorderly conduct when he's pretty sure all he did was maybe grump a bit too colorfully in the wrong person's direction -- and ended up spending a night in jail.

Hope no one was looking for him. He can be found the next morning leaving the grounds at a brisk pace, trying not to say much of anything just in case.
