save_the_souls: (where is his arm coming from??)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-02 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[He nods]

It was hard not to.
nerdeology: (definitely not loneleo)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-03 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
No kidding. We haven't quite figured her out yet- supposedly she's a daemon, and that's what they used to call hellions in the past, but she doesn't act like any hellion I've ever met, and she and Zaveid are friends. Someone who says, and I quote, "hellions belong in hell."

It's a weird situation.
save_the_souls: (... >>;; (hoodie))

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-03 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wow so turns out Zaveid had ANOTHER secret? Allen is just full of surprise right now. So. Shocked, he raises a single eyebrow.

Meanwhile the waiter comes by with their food, putting it in front of them. ]

I'd imagine so...

I don't suppose Zaveid's mentioned what happened to her, did he?

[-- He's willing to bet he didn't. Because it's Zaveid. Of course he didn't.]
nerdeology: (i don't care if you don't believe me)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-04 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Not explicitly... every time this kind of thing comes up, he winds up implying that all of his friends aren't around anymore. I don't like to ask.

[It seems extra shitty when the woman in question is here and alive right in front of them. Awkward enough with him, Dezel, and Eizen being the walking dead. Why add to their number?]
save_the_souls: (contemplating)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-04 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I see...

[He gives a little sigh as he bites into his food, thinking at the same time. It would be handy to know if she has a history of losing control, but he's not about to push. He can work without it.]

Well, for now, she seems to have her human mind intact. But I'm a little worried about how long she'll be able to keep that up, especially without the large supply of malevolence to feed on like she's used to.

[Which honestly, just the thought of her cannibalizing other daemons is screwed up and fills him with a lot of negative thoughts and memories. It's a huge reason he's not eating like a speed demon right now, and more just as a normal human speed]

I think I'll talk to Sam Winchester. I don't always agree with the Winchester brothers' methods, but Sam knows a lot more than I do about unconventional tricks. He might have some ideas about how to keep everyone safe.
nerdeology: (there are traces of discarded fur in--)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-05 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Mm... if you hear anything, keep us posted. We can offer to purify her, but she doesn't seem like the type to accept that without building up enough trust, assuming it's even possible.

To tell you the truth, I don't think she's a regular sort of hellion- they don't feed on malevolence, and they don't eat other hellions, either.

[They really should be going to Zaveid and Eizen to learn more about it, but they don't even seem worried. It feels a lot less safe to just go "it'll probably be fine!" after what happened with Sorey.]
save_the_souls: (why couldn't you have...)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-05 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
No, she said that she was a Therion. [He furrows his brow] From the sound of it, they're similar to ... something I've encountered before. Definitely not normal, by any means.

[And something that shouldn't exist at all. But hell, you could say that for any type of demon]

But mm, you're right. I don't see her accepting such an offer either. And with the level of malevolence she has, I'm not sure I want to try it myself either. [Since at that level it tends to backfire. Hard.]
nerdeology: (what kind of dog was this)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-05 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the good news is, the amount of malevolence isn't really a problem for us anymore. She carries less than Heldalf, the Lord of Calamity, and we were able to purify him, though I'd never say it was easy. And it did require the use of--

[--ah.

Siegfried.]
save_the_souls: (oh for fuck's sake)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-05 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
[....

Right. Siegfried. That thing.

...]

Well....most of her malevolence seems to be concentrated in her arm. So in a worse case scenario, I could try chopping it off.
nerdeology: (...why would you ask me that)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-06 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
[...Allen for the love of god.]

Please let us try purifying her first, if it comes to that.
save_the_souls: (this is weird but so's my life)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-06 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[What he's anime, amputation is completely valid last resort.

Okay I lied the last resort is actually beheading. Amputation is second to last resort. Allen's just not dumb enough to voice that one.]

Only if you're sure you can do it safely.

And no gun either. She can consume Seraph as well, so it could backfire and just act as a giant food dispenser for her.
nerdeology: (so much black stuff.....)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-08 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
If it came to that I wouldn't object, but I'd be glad to avoid it all the same. Though to your point, I can't really agree. That's not how Siegfried works, and hellions eating seraphim isn't a habit unique to her.

[He's gotten the hungry eye from enough of them to see the difference. Velvet hadn't done that, which had made her more of a puzzle, in truth.]

Regardless, I doubt it'll go that way. It was hard enough to convince Sorey to use it the first time.
save_the_souls: (grrr)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-08 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shakes his head]

No, but trapping their souls and using their power is unique to her. I saw her myself. It's different from just mauling people. She's a stone throw away from being an Akuma.

[Which honestly, is a huge reason why he's invested in this case. That malak, she may be want to be there for whatever reason it may be, but the fact Velvet could do that at all made him too wary not to be invested. He remembers all too well what happened to the Third Exorcists]

No Siegfried on her, period. Even if you manage to convinced Sorey again. I'm not going to risk making Akuma, even if the risk is small.
nerdeology: (i just know he likes telling stories.)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-08 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You saw what...?

[A trapped soul inside Velvet? That's new.]
save_the_souls: (lean back)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-08 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[...]

There's a Serap- Malak soul, in her arm. A woman with red hair- so maybe fire?

Velvet uses her for power, but she seems to want to be there.
nerdeology: (maybe something more light)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-09 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
I don't understand. How can you tell? You can see it? And how do you know she wants it?

[This sounds a lot different from tethering. Maybe he needs to ask Zaveid about this one.]
save_the_souls: (I know you)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-09 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
[Ah...right. Guess he wouldn't remember what happened while he was a dragon]

I have a curse that lets me see trapped souls. In other words, a soul that's being held somewhere it shouldn't be. And not only can I see them, but I can hear their words. That's how I know.
nerdeology: (red berries!)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-10 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
[yeah for some reason nobody likes to talk about that part.]

I see... your eye. I remember you were able to sense it, but I didn't realize it was that detailed.

[No wonder he hadn't liked being around Greed, if there'd been so many of them.]

I wonder if it's more similar to a tethering situation than how hellions usually are. When hellions consume living beings they don't just keep existing within the hellion. Purifying or even killing them doesn't bring the person back.
save_the_souls: (FUCKING BUBBLES)

[personal profile] save_the_souls 2017-05-10 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, it's quite powerful!

[He says almost proudly of his curse. What he likes having it, okay. ]

It's possible. It could be that she less cannibalises others and more...absorbs them....somehow? [He shrugs as he takes another bite of food] I'm not sure, really. I just know what I saw.
nerdeology: (i mean you're only human)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-05-10 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
I see... well, I won't make any promises about Siegfried, only because we don't know for certain if something like that might become necessary, and I don't want to end up having lied to you. It doesn't work the way you think it does.

[If there's one thing that weapon doesn't do, it's bind anything together. It sort of defeats the whole purpose of its existence.]

I will promise that we won't rush into anything. None of us are inclined to sacrifice ourselves lightly when there are other options, and other people who can help- that isn't something we had back home.
