[ It's hard to not stop and stare at a reply like "stealing them from a prison." Iris catches the tail end of that and raises her eyebrows. If it's the truth, there's a story - and Iris certainly wants to learn more about it.

That said, she's also not stupid enough to ask a clearly irritated stranger, and honestly? It looks like it's time to break it up before both parties end up in some weird rock and roll-ish fight. ]

Hey, um - [ Time to distract her and the locals! She nods her head towards a nearby cafe. ] You said you were gonna meet me for coffee, remember?

[Her attention snaps to the newcomer, and she's sort of prickly and on edge due to dealing with the locals. But it doesn't take her long to realize this person is probably with the fleet and not a native. And that she's trying to help. Accepting it is probably better than taking her claw out and threatening people.
