I'm not interested in the tourist spots. They'll tell me absolutely nothing worth knowing. It's only when one moves off the beaten path that you learn something interesting.

Spoken like a man looking for more than just entertainment. So what would you consider to be worth knowing, then?
no subject
There are a great deal of things I would consider worthy, but mostly I am interested in knowing as much about the government and the everyday lives of the people of this system. That's the best way to gauge any new place.

This conversation is way more interesting than some ladies across the room, no matter what they think of themselves.]
An interesting challenge, when we're not likely to stay long. Knowledge for knowledge's sake, or is there something you have in mind?

More's the pity for them.]
A little of both, actually. Garnering the knowledge might help us with other neighboring systems. A bit like knowing the politics of surrounding countries can help you with negotiating. And there's hardly any danger in actually knowing things about these strange worlds in the first place, is there?

[He couldn't exactly say no to his role but it wasn't like it was a difficult role to fulfill either. Noctis was a benevolent leader, even if he slept too much.]
I think that while we are traveling, part of the answers about who and what our captors are might come if we figure out what the people we meet are about. I've found that to be the case with a great deal of things I've come across so far.
[In all his twenty-two years of experience.]

But he shrugs.] It's probably as good an answer as any, provided these places we're going have clues to offer, and aren't just entertainment and distraction.

[Yes, but if you take over the world by force, you are a dictator and therefore someone Ignis cannot deal with amicably.]
It's unfortunate but the truth is never as simple as most people think it is. And it's usually multi-layered, being found in some of the least expected places. Such as the local nightlife.
[He waves the hand not holding his glass as to say "hence why I'm here."]
