[The little bow almost surprises her. It's been awhile since she's been bowed to, even if Luna is merely being polite in this case. She offers a deep nod in return.]

Riona. Well met. I take it you're a more recent arrival to the fleet?

[ Lunafreya offers Riona another small smile and a nod of her head. Her hands fold politely in front of herself -- it's nice to be able to talk to another woman like this, and one that seems so... well, proper. ]

I am. If... nearly two months can still be considered a recent arrival. I fear I do not get out as much as I probably should, though. This is still all very new to me.

[ She'd been held against her will in Tenebrae for twelve long years. Freedom is something that she's not quite used to yet... baby steps, though, she supposes. ]

How long have you been on the fleet, if you do not mind me asking?

Recent enough. Have you been acclimating all right? It can be a challenge to many, especially if the technology is unfamiliar.

Over a year now. I'm hardly the longest staying prisoner, however.

Yes, I have had the wonderful fortune of having very gracious crew mates. A few friends from home have recently shown up as well... although I must admit, the technology here is quite similar to that of my homeworld.

[ Mostly. Maybe a little more advanced than some. Ardyn seems pleased with it. ]

I see... even still, a year is quite a long time, don't you think? Do you have friends from home here as well?

You're very fortunate then, to have friends from home come here. So few are so lucky.

[Of course, it doesn't feel like that when one or more of them eventually leave, but that's why it's important to treasure the time they do have here, while it lasts.]

It's... something. [Words don't quite describe how this past year has been for her.] I do. My best friend from home is here. More were here at one point, but they've since left.

I do consider myself extremely fortunate, yes. Each one of them are dear to me.

[ Granted, she doesn't know Ignis and Prompto very well. But they are friends of her beloved Noctis, and they have taken such wonderful care of him all these years that she feels she owes them a huge debt. ]

I am sorry to hear that some of your friends have left... but I am pleased that your best friend remains. [ She can't imagine how that must feel, having your closest companions disappearing on you like that. Especially after being here for so long. ]

Thank you. It's an unfortunate reality of being in this place after so long. People will come and go. [She dreads the day Leliana will leave. A part of her feels like she's in this for the long haul, and she doesn't trust Atroma to think that they'll let her have Leliana forever. She's too jaded to hope otherwise anymore.] Best thing you can do is cherish each day they're here, and pray the next day is the same.

It is understandable. I've yet to lose anyone that way... but you are right. That is the best way to handle each day.

[ It's sort of like at home, she thinks. She counted her blessings each day of her life that she had the ability to do what she needed to do and the strength to do her duty. To be able to speak to Noctis, even from afar. Now she is able to do so up close and personal, and not just with him, but with Ignis and Prompto too. There's only one person she does wish would disappear... but that is not her luck. ]

Sometimes, though... I must admit that I feel selfish for having my loved ones here. They've a job to do at home, you see, and being here holds them up.

Time sort of... stops at home, when someone is here. People have gone home and then come back here, and reported that no one noticed they were gone. It was like time didn't pass at all.

[A double edged sword. On the one hand, no panicking or horrible things happening with people being gone and unable to stop it. On the other, no one knew they had been kidnapped and could not send help.]
