[ Elena happens to overhear his comment about the skulls and studs. She's considering a pair of leather pants that she's not sure she's got the courage to actually wear. They seem a little too...evil, or Keith Richards. The guy's comment makes Elena smile. ] This place has definitely got a style. I'm not sure which decade, but...it's a style.

[He turns to smile at her.] Yes. I was just getting used to Earth fashions. I'm not sure I was ready for this. [Though some of it is going in the maybe pile.]

[proweird]

[ He looks so...earthly that it throws her a bit for a loop. ] Fashion is always evolving anyway and I know people say that it always comes back around.

[It's just that everyone on Earth looks so Daxamitely!]

So, you should always keep shopping but always save everything too? That might get tight on the ships.

[proweird]

Right? We'll need storage ships if we all abide by that. [ She smiles at the idea. ] My mom saved a lot of her clothes though. Back home, I used to go through her closets when we'd have themed dances at school.

[ Mystic Falls has always loved it's themed dances and her mom had had a pretty large closet of things to choose from. ]

There are extra rooms on the Iskaulit. I guess we could expand our closets.

[He looks curious though.] What kind of dance themes were there?

Community center sort of ship...right? [ Elena has done her research and studied up on the different ships in the fleet, but she still doesn't feel as if she's got it down. She tucks her bottom lip between her teeth as she recalls the various themed parties that generally ended in disaster. ]

Usually revolving around decades like the roaring twenties or the seventies, the fifties and so on.

That's right. It's also where I work at one of the bars.

[He nods thoughtfully, taking that in but it still means so little to him.] Right. Oh, like when a television show is set in the past so everyone wears slightly odd clothing.

Oh! I met another bartender, well over the network. Sam. I think he said he worked one of the bars there. I haven't checked the ship out yet, but I definitely will now.

[ Well that's an odd way to put it but...Elena nods. ] Yeah. We used to do that for one night. It's fun, sometimes, to dress up in something...different.

It's a great place! [And he needs to get to know all his fellow bartenders better. He hasn't worked there long.]

I also saw a Halloween once with people dressed as skeletons and witches and various furry things.

[proweird]

[ She smiles at that. ] Halloween is always a lot of fun, or at least it was back home.

I haven't done the dressing up part, but it was a fun night. It didn't end all that well, but most of it was great.

You should. That really makes it Halloween, I think. Maybe someone will throw a Halloween party this year.

It's never too early to start planning. Although this is kind of early.
