[Welcome to the Belt, a huge asteroid belt that's been terraformed for life. Here you can explore the different asteroids, become a rock star, race on some ATVs, enjoy not being underwater.

In other words, it's a mingle! Get in everyone!

Likely very much the same. They do not seem to be much for originality here.

The nuance may be beyond us, to be truthful.

[He is doing his best to not reject it outright on the basis of being new.]

How have you been?

I have been...fine. This star system is somewhat liveable.

[A pause. ]

How about yourself?

[Well, this is awkward. But better than nothing? Maybe.]

One could say I greatly prefer this mess over the last system.

[Fenris, it seems, will never truly do well when it comes to social situations. ]

Oh, you did not enjoy the water? I found it...bizarre, but not the worst place we have visited. The puzzles were entertaining enough.

[Felix masks his discomfort by grimacing down at his drink for a moment]

I can't swim.

[Which isn't a lie, but is only a scratch on the surface of truth. Still, despite the instinctual fear it inspires in him, he can't help but feel a spark of curiosity]

What do you mean, puzzles?
wolfuncaged: (No shelter for this child in mazes lost)

Ah. That explains it. My apologies, it must have been an uncomfortable experience for you.

There were puzzles there. Little...games to complete. Getting to the end received you a gift from home. Or from Exsilium, in my case.

[He waves away the apology] I stay on the ship for the entirety of the month, which is precisely why I am so glad to be out of it. A barren wasteland would likely be better than nothing, and this city is hardly that.

Interesting. Further proof that all these universes are connected somehow. Was there anything you saw down there that reminded you of the other planets like the one with the gifting tree?

True, it is noisy, but it is far better than the confines of a ship. To be trapped on one for a month must have been tedious at best.

The planet sang like the other two before it. Otherwise, it felt like a normal quest. [Sayeth the RPG character. ] We completely the trials, and our gift was inside a chest.

[Felix, accordingly, looks bemused at the nonchalance of the explanation]

I can't say I know what a normal quest entails.

[Fenris rolls his shoulders in a shrug. ]

Usually? A shady or desperate person who finds you by unconventional means and asks for your help. This is followed by walking through some dingy warehouse or dreary cave, which all look like other warehouses and caves all over the city. Usually there are bandits who attack you. Perhaps a giant spider or two. The quest normally ends in some moral dilemma and then we go spend our earnings on drink.
