[He is doing his best to not reject it outright on the basis of being new.]
How have you been?

[A pause. ]
How about yourself?

One could say I greatly prefer this mess over the last system.

Oh, you did not enjoy the water? I found it...bizarre, but not the worst place we have visited. The puzzles were entertaining enough.

I can't swim.
[Which isn't a lie, but is only a scratch on the surface of truth. Still, despite the instinctual fear it inspires in him, he can't help but feel a spark of curiosity]
What do you mean, puzzles?
no subject
There were puzzles there. Little...games to complete. Getting to the end received you a gift from home. Or from Exsilium, in my case.

Interesting. Further proof that all these universes are connected somehow. Was there anything you saw down there that reminded you of the other planets like the one with the gifting tree?

The planet sang like the other two before it. Otherwise, it felt like a normal quest. [Sayeth the RPG character. ] We completely the trials, and our gift was inside a chest.

I can't say I know what a normal quest entails.

Usually? A shady or desperate person who finds you by unconventional means and asks for your help. This is followed by walking through some dingy warehouse or dreary cave, which all look like other warehouses and caves all over the city. Usually there are bandits who attack you. Perhaps a giant spider or two. The quest normally ends in some moral dilemma and then we go spend our earnings on drink.
