[New system, new rules, new opportunities. Furiosa does her exploring and gets a lead to a mining job that pays a little more than some of the others - partly because it's on one of the farther asteroids and through some treacherous pirate territory.]

[Which Furiosa didn't think she'd have any trouble with, especially if she could flesh out a crew of like-minded individuals.]

Fleet. Furiosa here. I've got a bite on a mining job out past the main cluster. Needs a few more bodies; I'll be leaving [insert reasonable time here] so meet me in the First Breath hangar before hand and you're in. Good pay.

[She'll be in the hangar bay doing general maintenance on the shuttle for the extended trip.]

[This is where Fenris really does his best. Close combat. The lyrium on his skin glows brightly, as he dodges fired weapons and knocks pirates down. He can't keep intangible indefinitely,
and when he needs to rest his power, he is susceptible to actually being shot.

At the moment, though, he seems to be holding his own pretty well.]

[Tyrion, alas, is about useful here as a lump of lead. He turns and takes a dart to the neck almost immediately. He makes a sharp noise, before his eyes cross and he drops down to the floor.]

[Well, balls. Fenris turns quickly around, placing himself between Tyrion's fallen form and the people trying to capture him, sword swinging wildly to keep them at a distance.]

The dwarf is down!

[Fenris isn't the only one glowing here, wouldn't you know. Kaidan's entire body is aglow, and his normally brown eyes have taken on a vibrant blue. His barrier happens to be very good for deflecting shots of any kind, on top of the in-board shields in his armor. In short, he's a very difficult target to take down.]

I've got him!

[He moves to Tyrion and stoops to pick him up.]

Can you clear us a path?

[They can't stay here in the shuttle, they'll get overwhelmed]

[Fenris has got used to just about anything being possible. Still, he makes a mental note to ask the man about his glowing some other time. Preferably when they're not being shot at. He nods, surging forward, weapon swinging. ]

That I can, get him somewhere safe.

[Chit-chat is definitely down the list of priorities. Kaidan barely stops to question it himself, idly curiosity bending to the demands of combat. He hoists Tyrion up and over a shoulder, then looks at the others in the shuttle]

Grab a gun and come with me.

[To Fenris-] I'll try to cover you...

[With one hand free it's nearly impossible to use his rifle, so he retrieves a pistol from the bag he'd brought along from the armory. It's less than ideal but it will have to do. Nodding one last time to Fenris and the crew, he darts out of the shuttle's door and towards the nearest cover.]

I don't need a gun.

[Not a lie. Fenris, without having to guard Tyrion, activates his tattoos again. He fades into a blue spectre, flashing quickly through the people, plunging his hand into any that come too close to the cover Kaidan has taken. ]
