[ Yoink. Summer grabs a familiar deck of cards from a drawer. She and Wolfe had played a few games with this deck, something he'd had custom made. Strip Wicked Grace had been a particularly favorite night.

People come and go. Anders had come and gone a long time ago, and then again more recently. He'd gone with less of a bang this last time. Summer had decided long ago that she didn't get attached to people for that reason.

So when she stood in the center of Wolfe's room, she definitely not basking in whatever lasting presence still existed. She wasn't going over memories of their brief frienship, of the time they plunged into the depths of a water planet with a dragon on their tale together.

She was just looking for anything she wanted to keep, like this deck of cards.

Hey, I thought you might want those. [Speaking of the cards.] I'm glad you came to get them.

Ah, Vash, right?

[ She didn't start, she was too aware to get so easily surprised. ]

That's right. I believe it was Summer?

[ Took her a moment. The name was still new, and it still hadn't quite stuck. She glanced at the deck of cards in her hand. ]

No, actually. It's Grace. [ Wicked Grace. ]

[ She stowed the deck in her bag. ]

Did you know them very well?

Oh. Sorry, Grace. [Like the cards she just put in her bag. Interesting, but he puts it more towards coincidence.]

They were part of my crew. I wouldn't say I knew them better than anyone, but we were pretty close. I'm glad to have gotten to know them.

[ Generic and polite. Neither things that Grace was particularly fond of.

She moved to push past Vash. ]

I should be going, then.

[Vash moves aside to let her through. Having more experience with gruff, straightforward approaches back home then the emotional type means he takes no offence.]

I understand, but hey, if you ever want to play a game of Wicked Grace sometime I'd be happy to come by or you could come here again. Wolfe was teaching me how to play. I'm no expert, but I'm getting better.

[There could be any number of reasons a strange woman is standing in this room. She doesn't know enough about its previous occupant to be able to narrow it down, but given there are plenty of harmless reasons for it, Makie is nothing but gently polite when she appears at the doorway, hands folded in her sleeves.]

[ She turns to look at the newcomer. If she interpreted Grace's words as her declaration to rob this room - which was pretty intentional - what was she gonna do about it? ]

I wouldn't know, I'm afraid. I respect the privacy of my crewmates.

I was rather fond of 'not here.' It didn't have coffee dispensers or hot showers but I don't like leashes.

Makie is much easier, although I haven't entirely given up on pronouncing the whole thing. Perhaps sometime I can trouble you for a helpful mnemonic... the dirtier the better.
