[Castle was dressed to the nines in the glam-rocker supplies he'd gotten from the sponsors. Sporting a mullet wig and an open-chested, tight, sparkling shirt, he'd been practing his act, crooning to nobody into a toy plastic microphone as he followed the cleaning bots on their usual duties.]

[It's a sound that had him freeze. He'd found his way out of the Marsiva, he'd hoped, as this was a new ship interior, or at least a brand new hall.

His defensive stance lowered when Castle rounded a corner into view. Shovel Knight... needed a minute. This man was the strangest bard he'd ever encountered.]

[What the hell did he just walk in on? Maybe this ship had an entertainer? That must be it. Or no, maybe this guy is drunk, and he needed to share the goods. There's only one way to find out.

It's like a train wreck that you just can't stop looking at no matter how bad it is. Still, he waits for this man to be, uh, done, to some degree.]

I usually don't see this sort of thing unless everyone is at least slightly intoxicated.

[Vash just starts LAUGHING. Laughing long and hard. It really is mostly the outfit, but the signing is great too.]

[Yeah this is enough for Makie to pause in her own weapon maintenance, giving Castle a blank look as he trundles on through the cargo bay.

...seriously, man. She thought you were the sane one.]

Kitty Pryde | OTA

[The hits keep on coming. The ship was dwindling back to what it had been before the fusion collision. She knew some of them better than others. She knew practically nothing about Lancer, but Ravi had quickly become a very close friend.

Kitty is sitting in the kitchen, poking at some beets she got from the asteroids, not entirely sure what to do with beets in their raw form to get them to the point where she wants to eat them. She hears someone come in and without looking up, she speaks.] Does it ever feel like the Windrose is quietly eating the Three Twins?

[Or, you know, any other prompt you'd like around the ship. And if you're new this is one of your co-captains. If you're not new then she's still one of your co-captains. She's also easy to find reading in the pilot's seat, checking over systems, walking on the air to water the hanging plants in the cargo bay or exercising on the equipment in there.]

[A kitchen, how odd... was this still the Marsiva? He couldn't be sure any more. He'd never felt so relieved to see something new from the last few days scrambling for exits that seemed not to exist. But the question had him still, unsure. When the Enchantress addressed him, it was definitely at him. This time...]

Forgive me, friend, but I may not be the one you intended to speak to. I seek a way off the Marsiva but I seem to have taken a wrong turn.

[When finding yourself somewhere new, you have to check out the kitchen. It was just something you do, especially when you're someone who likes taking pleasure in food and wine, and pairing them together. Whether or not he could do that now didn't matter; it was something to look forward to doing in the future.

Hearing Kitty's question took him by surprise.]

Do you usually ask difficult questions before introductions?

Yup. [He answers with a slight chuckle.] I taste awful with hollandaise sauce so make sure you just use regular gravy. No fancy stuff.

[Remember the first time Makie caught you walking in mid-air? Some things don't change.

Kitty, you've picked up a tiny stalker, who's trying to work out how the heck you do that.]

Private to Winn

[Kitty is late coming back to the Twin Roses where she was supposed to meet up with Winn for the night. There was a very good reason for the hold up which she didn't contact him about because by the time she'd re-obtained her communicator she figured it was better to just get back to him. Plus, you know, just in case anyone was chasing her.

She knocks on her door—to the captain's room—just in case Winn is already in there. She figures he will be, but she phases inside without waiting for an answer.] I have a good explanation!

Open - Wolfe's Room

[ Yoink. Summer grabs a familiar deck of cards from a drawer. She and Wolfe had played a few games with this deck, something he'd had custom made. Strip Wicked Grace had been a particularly favorite night.

People come and go. Anders had come and gone a long time ago, and then again more recently. He'd gone with less of a bang this last time. Summer had decided long ago that she didn't get attached to people for that reason.

So when she stood in the center of Wolfe's room, she definitely not basking in whatever lasting presence still existed. She wasn't going over memories of their brief frienship, of the time they plunged into the depths of a water planet with a dragon on their tale together.

She was just looking for anything she wanted to keep, like this deck of cards.

Hey, I thought you might want those. [Speaking of the cards.] I'm glad you came to get them.

[There could be any number of reasons a strange woman is standing in this room. She doesn't know enough about its previous occupant to be able to narrow it down, but given there are plenty of harmless reasons for it, Makie is nothing but gently polite when she appears at the doorway, hands folded in her sleeves.]

[Vash may be a bit upset to have seen all of his old crew go. Mostly because they actually don't know for sure if those who leave actually go home or not.

But was he going to let those worries show to his new crew? Not a chance. Vash is nothing but smiles as he seeks out the new members to welcome.] HEY THERE! Welcome aboard the Twin Roses! [Hopefully a rather hyper, 5'10 tall (not counting the gravity denying hair), man dressed in a red, leather duster who is coming up to shake your hand isn't too much to take in.] I'm Vash! One of the captains here! Great to meet you!

[If that's too much "in your face" Vash will also be found in the plant room. Just because Anders has gone doesn't mean he's going to let the garden die. Making sure they have plenty of water and tending to as is needed for them.

Or you may find him in the pilot's area. Updating the maps and books he's been trying to keep relating to the places the fleet has visited since the start of this cycle.]

[Chuuya is slightly taken aback by Vash's great big energy (and his height with that hair... At 5'3" that's comparably almost A Lot), but shakes his hand in return with a confident smile.]

[ they weren't kidding about that confetti thrown in his face. one second he was sitting on his cot on the marsiva's hospitality deck, playing tic-tac-toe with himself, and the next - he's standing somewhere else entirely and the blasted thing is everywhere! he blows his nose, and colorful bits of paper fly off in a huff. ]

Bloody hell, ever heard of a warning! [ can we say he's been magiced off to enough locations now?! goddammit! he has legs, let him use them!

once he gets the blasted confetti out of his hair - which, fortunately, isn't all that difficult - lance will proceed to explore his new surroundings. no unlocked door is safe! the armory and kitchen both get special attention from him. you bet your ass he's going to be packing heat from now on, and once he finds the real food supply, you may be lured into the kitchen by the tasty scent of stew. sorry, was he supposed to ask first? consider name labels next time. he's happy to share the finished product, though. only fair. ]

[Kitty is lured by the scent of food into the kitchen for her third new face of the day.] I don't suppose you're the new cook. [And she doesn't really suppose it because she notices he's armed. Of course now that it's unlocked they all have access to it so you never know.]

[Sorry, Lance you're not the first to the armory. Vash is already there checking out the new weapons on board. Lance probably won't miss spotting the large, silver revolver that's already holstered on his hip.

Vash is checking out one of the semi-automatic guns at the moment. He can already tell it's not there for him, but it doesn't mean he's not curious about it. He's even started taking the one he was looking at apart. Not trusting their hosts to get it right. Even though so far everything looks fine.]

Well, hello there! You must be one of our new crew! Or are you visiting someone? [He gives an honest and happy smile as he sets what he was doing aside. Most people aren't generally comfortable at a first meeting when the other has a gun in their hands. Even if that gun was currently missing parts.]

[Makie finds him in the kitchen, but she's not looking specifically for him. She just wants a cup of tea. The stew smells nice, though, and she pauses at the doorway to peer at Lance with interest.]

You have confetti on the back of your collar, sir.

[Don't mind the nice Japanese lady in the kimono. She's just being helpful.]

[ look who finally made it to the twin roses. it doesn't take him terribly long to get to the ship once he finally said that he was on his way, and even less time to find his way to the kitchen. between already having a general idea of where to go and the food smells, it's easy enough to get there.

fitz hangs back a little at first. it suddenly occurs to him how strange it all is, to be meeting someone for the first time who he apparently has history with. he knows the idea of it and all, has talked about it before (hell, he talked about it with hunter), but now to be faced with it is something else entirely. this must be how amnesia patients feel.

it's awkward and a little uncomfortable ]

Well, it smells like I didn't miss out on the food, at least.

[Both ships fusing was disconcerting enough, but now the population keeps changing. There was a point when their crew was mostly women. It was more comfortable, that's for sure.

Still, Makie is having a more relaxing time of late, so while she doesn't go out of her way to be sociable, she isn't avoiding the majority of the ship, either. She inhabits the kitchen on a reasonably regular basis when she's not down on the planet, and can be found one night in the cargo bay, giving her shamisen some careful maintenance after the week's use down below.
