[Oh, this sounds very much like it's going to get weird. She does what Kitty says, though, her grip hesitant at first, but-- she did say tightly, didn't she? So after a moment, she squeezes. Tiny hands.]

It came on around the time boys are dealing with deeper voices and we're all dealing with acne and feeling generally weird. I just also got headaches that turned into powers. I had to teach myself at first, but then I had other people who did their best to help me with it even though they had different powers.

[There's something nice about the hope. In her world becoming a mutant—at least at the time she did—was nothing to hope for. It was like being a monster and then some mutants went out of their way to be the monsters people feared. But it doesn't have to be like that and she's all for seeing it in a more positive way. Of course, Makie isn't like her in that way and if she wants to be maybe it's to protect herself. Someone her age shouldn't have to worry about that, but when has that ever stopped the world from being that way?]
